"You know you shouldn't be carrying anything. You just woke up 2 days ago princess." Billy tsks as he takes the box from (y/n)'s hands, putting it in Nancy's car which was filled with other things she could spare for Eddie and his uncle to take when they leave Hawkins.

"Love, I'm fine. I've been asleep for those two days." she rolls her eyes playfully but he raises a brow at her.

"Yeah, getting your nose broken and your stomach needing to be stitched afterwards." he walks towards his love as she leans her back against the car, running his finger down the bridge of her nose gently and rubbing her waist softly. "I should've been there..." Billy sighs as he leans his forehead on (y/n)'s, holding her hands.

"I didn't want you in danger. It all had to end. And I came back to you like I promised I would." he chuckles lightly, leaning back and slapping the cap on his girl's head as it falls down on her face.

"I don't know how but you always keep your promises."

"Are you two done making out or what?" Steve yells out, arms crossed and Robin snickers.

"Stuff it Harrington!" (y/n) quickly hides her face when she sees Nancy's mum looking at her and talking to her daughter, probably to ask who she was but she knew her friend would lie for her.

"Someone order a pizza?" Dustin asks as Karen walks back into her house. The group, Lucas, Erica, Dustin, Max, Nancy, Robin, Steve, Billy and (y/n) watch as a pizza van rolls up to the driveway. The doors open and the group smiles seeing familiar faces that they were relieved to see.

"(y/n)!" Mike, Will and Eleven exclaim happily when she takes her hat off.

"Mike, Will and Eleven. About time you guys showed up!" She smiles and they run to hug her.

"You're ok!"

"Of course I'm ok!" she says, picking up Eleven and spinning her around before setting her down. "Are you three ok?" she checks the three kids, brushing their cheeks and making sure they weren't hurt.

"We're ok." Eleven nods, moving to hug (y/n) again tightly and she winces which makes her quickly let go. "You're hurt."

"I'm ok. I promise. Your brother Jonathan however, he looks like he's seeing a ghost."

"You remember him!" Will gasps.

"I got my memories back kid so I remember all of you know."

"(y/n)!? I thought-you died-your funeral-"

"-I'm alive Jonathan. In the flesh right here." Jonathan shakes his head chuckling, moving to hug (y/n). Mike goes inside to hug his mum while Will hugs Dustin and Lucas, Eleven goes to hug Max and Jonathan goes to hug Nancy after.

"You're ok." Eleven whispers to her best friend, holding her face and moving her head to check for wounds.

"(y/n) saved me-us again." the girls look over at the girl who leaned back into Billy's arm that were around her shoulders, his chin leaning on top of her head. Mike soon comes back out to hug his friends, the boys tackling each other in a dogpile and everyone smiles at the scene.

"Everyones back and safe huh..." Steve mutters out as he stands next to the couple with Robin.

"It feels... weird in a way. That it's all finally done..." (y/n) says, rubbing her stomach.

"Are you in pain?" Billy quickly asks and she shakes her head.

"Hey (y/n), can I talk to you for a sec." Steve asks and she nods, promising Billy that she will be back as the two walk down the pathway away from the house.

"What's up?"

"Nothing... I just, I know you Billy and Max are leaving to go back to California and I just wanted some time with you. Properly you know. Without our lives being on the line." Steve rambles and (y/n) nods.

"I get what you mean but you know you can visit us anytime you want. The whole group is invited."

"I know..." the two go silent for a bit. "You know I love you." This makes (y/n) stop, a frown on her face. "And I know that you don't feel the same for me but I..." Steve sighs as he turns to face her, looking down at the girl he had set his heart for. Not even Nancy could sway his feelings. "I just want to know, properly how you feel about me." he steps closer towards her.

"Steve, you're my friend... I can't-"

"-I know please, just..." Steve breathe out shakily. "Can a kiss you? I just need to make sure..." (y/n) furrows her brows but nods and Steve gently holds her cheek, leaning down to kiss her. He sighs breathless against her soft lips, moving to hold her waist gently. He thought he would feel sparks between them like he used to feel when he first was in love with Nancy but there was nothing... Steve leans back quickly, taking a step away from (y/n) when he knew she didn't feel anything for him like he did for her. "We should get back. Hargrove is probably looking for you already." (y/n) nods and the two walk back to the house.

"Ready to go?" Billy asks, raising a brow at Steve who walks away to talk to Robin.

"Can we go help fix Elevens cabin first? Then we can go." Max asks and her brother shakes his head.

"We should-"

"-let her stay for a while love. She just got her friends back." (y/n) says, leaning into her boyfriend and he sighs.

"Ok fine. Let's go then." Max fist pumps the air, running over to the other kids and (y/n) laughs lowly. "I really can't say no to you can I?"

"Nope." Billy smiles, leaning down to kiss her, the couple smiling against the shock of sparks they shared like when they first kissed. "I love you (y/n)." he whispers against her lips and she pecks his once more.

"I love you Billy." 

"Hey, me and Robin are going to bounce. Now that the world is saved, we need to go back to work."

"Unfortunately." Steve and Robin say goodbye to everyone, getting in Steve's car and driving off.

"We should do the same." Jonathan says, the boys climbing back into his van while the girls get into Billy's car to head to the cabin.

"This cabin sure has seen better days. Goddamn." (y/n) mutters out as she walked inside the old cabin. The others commented about how they were going to repair it and get the cabin fixed, Will checking the fridge and Nancy checking the water.

"Water still works!"

"That's a positive at least." (y/n) calls out as she digs through the cupboards, finding cleaning supplies. "Bingo-Billy!"

"You shouldn't be doing anything except resting." he sighs at his girlfriend's disobedience, taking the supplies off her hands and setting them down on the kitchen counter. (y/n) throws everyone a broom or a piece of equipment to start cleaning the place as she helped Eleven and Max pick up the rubbish while the boys swept the leaves. Billy went to start fixing the roof, Nancy and Jonatha boarding up the holes in the windows and walls.

"(y/n), seriously just sit down." Dustin says, gently pushing (y/n) to sit on a couch and she crosses her arms.

"I'm not a damsel in distress guys!"

"It is when you were the one to finally kill Vecna!" Will exclaims, walking over to the group of kids.

"Wait, you don't feel him or like sense that he's here anymore!?" Max gasps put and he nods.

"Now that I'm here, in Hawkins, I don't feel him anymore. It's finally silent."

"Holy shit." Lucas says, clapping Will on the back. "We actually did it!"

"And (y/n) dealt the final blow!" Dustin squeals out as she bows.

"All in a day's work I guess." She chuckles, the kids hugging together finally knowing that it's all over. They could grow up like normal kids and never go through this again. They will always have the memories an the pain there in the far back but they will never have to fight to survive again and that was all (y/n) wanted. The kids split up when they suddenly hear someone drive up to the cabin, running out to the front to see a van they didn't recognise except Dustin.

"Eddie!"

"Henderson!" Eddie yells out as he jumps out of the van, running to the boy to hug him while the grownups all came out with the kids.

"Munson." Billy nods to the man and he nods back.

"I need to thank you, for saving my ass back there."

"It wasn't me, it was (y/n)." the girl steps out from behind Billy, waving at Eddie. "If it wasn't her screams making those bats drop like flies, you would've been gone."

"I don't know how to repay you!" Eddie sweeps (y/n) in his arms to spin her around and she laughs, hugging him.

"Live. That's all I'm asking." he sets her back down as Eddie says his thanks to everyone else, him, Billy and (y/n) walking down the road to Billy's car. "Where do you think you're going to go?" Eddie shrugs at (y/n)'s question as she rummages through her boyfriend's car for something.

"I don't know. My uncle and I are leaving as soon as we can. We have all our shit packed and ready in the van to leave Hawkins. We just don't where we're going to go."

"Come to California. I'm sure the locals there would love to hear your music or maybe Billy can get you a spot at his mechanics shop." (y/n) says as he takes out a large manila envelop, stuffing it in Eddie's hands.

"What's this?"

"To help you and your uncle. It's going to be a little tricky at first but this should help you get a small house together." the metalhead's eyes widen as he opens the envelope to see money inside.

"Fuck (y/n) I can't take this!" he tries to give it back but she doesn't take it.

"Just take it idiot. Start a better life. She always gives us a chance to do that." Billy says, smiling down at his girlfriend. Eddie tears up, hugging (y/n) again.

"You saved me and you give me this... (y/n) I don't know what to say..."

"Just visit me in Cali man." (y/n) says, squeezing the boy before letting him go. Eddie walks backwards, waving goodbye to the couple before jumping back in the van where his uncle was waiting for him. Billy and (y/n) wave goodbye to the Munsons as they drive away from Hawkins for good.

"You're too good for this world." Billy whispers as the two walk back to the cabin, kissing the top of her head. She just smiles with flushed cheeks, snuggling into him. As soon as they reach the cabin, a sleek black car drives up.

"Getting quite a lot of visitors right now aren't we." (y/n) pipes up but gasps when she sees someone she thought she wasn't going to see again. "Hopper!" she exclaims happily, the man beaming at her as he goes to hug her. "Everyone told me you died!"

"Nothing can kill Jim Hopper kid." he ruffles her hair, the two freezing when they hear a loud gasp behind them.

"(y/n)!? How!? You died!" Joyce exclaims and Hopper looks at (y/n) with a brow raised. He lets her go to let Joyce scoop up the girl in her arms to hug her. Even though the aduts didn't know (y/n) well, she was still a part of their kids to look after in the group.

"You died?" Hopper asks and (y/n) nods. "Guess we have that in common kid."

"But how?" Joyce asks.

"You might want to ask your kids. They're inside." the adults quickly head up to the cabin, eager to their children. Billy and (y/n) walk back inside the cabin to see the kids hug their parents, ushering Max over who had a bittersweet smile on her face. "Ready to go?" (y/n) asks and the redhead nods.

"Yeah... let them enjoy this..." Max whispers, Billy ruffling her hair as the three of them walk out of the cabin to her brother's car.

As the couple gets in, Max freezes. "What's wrong Max?" (y/n) asks, getting out of the car again.

"I... I know I said I wanted to go with you but..."

"But you want to stay." Billy says as he gets out of the car too, leaning on the hood.

"I just... I want to finish high school with my friends and-"

"-hey, it's ok. We get it." (y/n) smiles, holding Max's face gently. "We won't force you. Your friends are here and we won't take that away from you."

Max tears up, hugging her sister-in-law tightly. "I love you (y/n)." the older girl freezes in shock, looking over at her boyfriend whose eyes were also wide in surprise.

"I love you too Max. Always." (y/n) whispers into her hair, hugging her tight. "We'll come by to visit during your holidays or you can come by to visit us too. Whatever you want to do."

"You'll call and write to me?"

"Of course kid." Billy walks over to hug his sister. "We're family after all." Max beams happily, hugging the couple once more and stepping back to let them get into their car. The others rush out of the cabin when they hear a engine, all of them screaming and waving goodby as Billy and (y/n) drove away together.

(y/n) stuck her head out of the car window, half her body hanging out as she took in a deep breath. "BYE EVERYONE!" she screams out, them screaming back their goodbyes again as the car wounds down the road and away from the chain.

"Get in here!" (y/n) laughs as Billy pulls her back in the car, an amused smile on his face. "Ready to go home."

"Definitely. I just want to put this all behind me now."

"At least we didn't run away from the fight." he looks at his love as she grins at him, lenaing her head back against the seat.

"No we didn't, did we."
