"You flung that thing like a hot wheel!" Dustin laughs happily as Billy carried Eleven, setting her down so the kids could hug it out.

"Steve! Robin!" (y/n) dives to hug them both, relieved that they were ok. "You lost another fight didn't you?" she says when she notices the bruising and Steve sputters in offence.

"I did not!"

"In his defence, we were tied up and the Russians kept punching him. I say that's unfair." Robin says.

"You were tied up!?" Everyone exclaims at the ice cream employees.

"And drugged with I think was a truth serum?" Steve mumbles out.

"You what!?" everyone just rapidly talks with each other, trying to bring everyone up to speed and get everyone on the same page. (y/n) looked over at Eleven as she walked off, noticing that she looked really sick.

She left the group and quickly holds her. "What's happening? Are you ok? Eleven!?" (y/n) gasps as the girl crumbles to the floor, whining as her leg was in pain. "Take the bandage off!" Jonathan unwraps it and everyone backs off in disgust at the moving ball of flesh digging into her leg.

"El!?" Mike gasps as she suddenly starts screaming out in pain as the thing in her leg buries into her.

"We need to get whatever it is out of her!" (y/n) hisses out, getting Eleven to sit up. "Someone get a knife and heat it up!" (y/n) yells out, Jonathan sprinting to do just that. "You guys get her to keep talking, don't let her pass out." Eleven wails out, the boys moving her to the side as Robin started rambling.

"You know, it's not actually that bad.There was a... The goalie on my soccer team,Beth Wildfire, this other girl slid into her leg,and the bone came out of her knee, six inches or something, it was insane."

"Robin. Not helping." Steve and (y/n) both say and she nods, zipping her lips.

"Jonathan!" (y/n) yells out and he comes running back with a knife and gloves. "Eleven, this is going to hurt a lot worse ok." the girl cries out, holding her hand. "Jonathan has to cut the leg open and I need you to pull that little fucker out of your leg for me. Can you do that?" the young girl nods weakly as (y/n) gives her a wooden spoon to clamp down on, Jonathan cutting open her leg.

"Oh shit!"

"You're doing great Eleven. Jonathan is done now it's your turn." (y/n) helps her sit up better so she can see her leg. "You can do this." Billy holds (y/n)'s shoulders behind her as Eleven screams out in her arms, using her powers to grab the wriggling creature. She cries out in pain, the glass shattering around her as she pulls out the screeching creature and throws it far away. "Bag! Open my bag!" Billy opens (y/n)'s bag as she asks for her aid kit she managed to bring to clean up Eleven's leg.

"Hopper!"

"Mum!" Everyone looks up when they see two familiar adults plus one balding random guy.

"Sorry honey." (y/n) whispers as Eleven hisses in pain, (y/n) cleaning up her leg while everyone, once again, brought everyone else up to speed and informed them of what was going on with the Mind Flayer, the Russians and the Gate.

"Thanks kid." Hopper nods to (y/n) as she bandages up Eleven's leg, wiping her hands and throwing the stuff in the bin before moving to sit next to Billy. He wraps his arms around her shoulders, pulling her close.

"Yoo-hoo!" the bald man shows up suddenly, waving papers around like a madman. He gets everyone to surround him, showing off the diagrams on the papers.

"Okay, this is what Alexei called"the hub." Now, the hub takes us to the vault room."

"Okay, where's the gate?" Hopper asks.

"Right here.I don't know the scale on this, but I think it's fairly closeto the vault room, maybe 50 feet or so."

"More like 500." Lucas's sister pipes up sassily and the bald man looks at her.

"What, you're just gonna waltz in therelike it's commie Disneyland or something?"

"I'm sorry, who are you?"

"Erica Sinclair. Who are you?"

"Murray... Bauman."

"Listen, Mr. Bunman, I'm not trying to tell youhow to do things, but I've been down in that shitholefor 24 hours. And with all due respect, you do what this man tells you, you're all gonna die."

"I'm sorry, why is this four-year-oldspeaking to me?" He questions, offended by this child speaking to him.

"Um, I'm ten, you bald bastard!"

"Boss girl, fuck yeah!" (y/n) cheers Erica and she bows.

"Ok, let's take a break from all this." Billy pulls (y/n) away, the both of them sitting down with the kids. Max walks up to them and settles down next to (y/n), leaning against her arm until she guides the younger s head to lay on her shoulder.

"You ok?" (Y/n) asks and Billy watches over the two girls talking, looking over everyone that were planning for the next course of action or just hugging it out just in case. There was a sense of solemn and peace, only just for a moment, a sense of normalcy as kids were just dumb naive kids, couples were just horny alcoholic couples and parents were just overbearing anrgy parents. None of this, life and death shit, none of the save the world nonsense that threw this band of strange people to become close under even stranger situations.

Billy didn't feel right, being here, didn't feel like he was physically there but when he looked at (y/n) and saw her smile, saw the happiness in her eyes... he felt alive. Felt like she was his anchor to being here in time with her.

"What's with all the staring?" (Y/n) chuckles as she looks up at Billy who was staring at her, a smile on his face growing as she pokes his arm.

"Can I not stare at my beautiful girlfriend?" the kids suddenly gasp and Billy and (y/n) look at them, seeing them point out at the couple.

"He said it! He actually said it!" Dustin exclaims, his body slowly becoming jittering before he started bouncing off the floor in excitement.

"Did I actually hear Hargrove say the G word!?" Robin gapes, looking at Steve who pursed his lips lightly.

"Dude actually called 9Y/n) his girlfriend..." Lucas gasps.

"If you have a problem with that-"

"-no problem! It's just that you two never refer to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend!" Mike cuts Billy off, shaking his hands.

"Well we weren't into labels I guess." (y/n) shrugs.

"(y/n), now that Hargrove called you his girlfriend, you calling him your boyfriend?" Steve asks and the girl looks at Billy with a smug smile.

"I don't know. Should I? He never asked." Billy rolls hies eyes.

"Ok, we're not dating then."

"Since when were we dating!?" (y/n) mocks lightly, seeing the smirk on Billy's face.

"When I got to fuck you after our first date." he whispers and everyone wonders why (y/n) turned red.

"Ok, I guess that's true but you never still asked if you wanted me to be your girlfriend."

"Are you really gonna push this?"

"Yes!" (y/n) pipes happily hearing Billy sigh in defeat before chuckling.

"(y/n), will you be my girlfriend? Take me as your boyfriend?" She fake thinks, rubbing her chin and the kids urge her to say yes.

"Yes, of course, Billy. You're mine after all." he grins, pulling (y/n) closer with his hand on the back of her neck.

"And you're mind darling." he kisses her and the single kids all groan in disgust while Max, Lucas, Mike and Eleven cheer. Billy couldn't help his heart soar, the both of them smiling before leaning back as he kisses her nose.

"Ok, enough with the mushy affection. I think I'm going to be sick seeing my own brother be so sweet." Max gags, covering her mouth.

"(y/n) you got your first boyfriend!" Robin and Nancy squeal out as they run to her, picking her up and squeezing her.

"I have a boyfriend... oh my fucking god I have a boyfriend!" (y/n) squeals with the girls, them jumping together before (y/n) pulls back with a gasp. "Ignore what you just saw! I don't know what came over me!"

"Ok if you kids are done mucking around!" Hopper yells out, gesturing to Dustin, Steve, Robin and Erica over to him. Bauman was showing Nancy and Jonathan how to unlock his house to stay safe in. Everyone was saying their goodbyes before splitting off to kill the Mind Flayer, Will worrying over his mum and Hopper worrying over Eleven.

"We should head out before the Mind Flayers finds us." Billy states, picking up Eleven to avoid her from walking on her feet. The adults split ways from the rest of the group as the kids all walk out of the mall.

"Hurry!" Nancy climbs into other car as they all get in with Billy carefully setting Eleven in the back, him and (y/n) getting in his car. Nancy freezes as she hears her car sputter, looking at Jonathan. 

"What's wrong!?" (y/n) calls out from Billy's car seeing Nancy panic as she tries to turn the engine again and again.

"You can't be serious! Come on!" She groans out.

"Pop the hood!" Billy gets out of his car, examining it and furrowing his brows in confusion. "What the fuck?"

"What? What is it?" Nancy and Jonathan both get out as well as (y/n), the four of them noticing a certain cable missing.

"Your ignition is cable gone."

"Fuck-" (y/n) quickly looks up as she hears another car roaring, looking down the dark empty car park to see her brother. "He took it..." she gasps out, (b/n) revving the car he was in as he stared straight at Eleven, the dark ones even more prominent on his skin.

"Get back in the mall! Now!" Nancy opens the door and the kids all clamber out, Billy carrying Eleven again as they all run inside.
