(y/n) - your name

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Ugh, what time is it?" (Y/n) groans as she wakes up, sitting up on her bed and rubbing her eyes. She looks around and sees that it was bright in her room, indicating it was well past midday. "Thank god today's a Saturday and not a school day..." she rubs her head, looking around expecting to see Billy, swearing he stayed over last night after he helped her in her drunken state but he was gone.

Why would he stay anyway?

(Y/n) sighs and gets up, grabbing a new toothbrush and chucking out the old one from last night She freshened up and showered, going down to the kitchen and opening up a couple of windows. She decided to make some tea after, clear her head and sit outside on the swinging porch.

Billy saw (y/n) sit outside in the sun from his bedroom window, turning down his music and putting down his weights. He had stayed home to keep an eye on (y/n), make sure she wasn't drinking again. Also, he just didn't want to go to the mall with the so-called 'friends' that followed him around like a leach. He saw (y/n) start reading a book but she just shuts it after a few minutes and headed back inside.

(Y/n) didn't want to read, she didn't want to do anything but if she didn't, her house would be a pigsty. So she put on some music on her radio, it blasting as she started doing some cleaning. She needed to clean Billy's clothes that were bloodstained first, hoping a smile wash of water and detergent might get the stain out or she had to bleach it. She didn't want to ruin Billy's denim jacket. It was a nice jacket, almost similar to the dark blue one she owned and left in her wardrobe to never be worn again. She didn't really have a reason to wear it out yet is all.

After putting up the wet clothes on the hanger out in her backyard, hers that went through the washer and Billy's she hand-washed, she went to clean up the house. Vacuuming the carpet, cleaning her sofas and her room, rearranging her belongings and dusting her shelves. She went to the spare guest bedroom she didn't use, peeking in to see that it was still clean from the first time she bought the house but gave the carpet a quick vacuum and spritz the air after leaving the door open.

She went to clean the kitchen, her living room and the bathrooms before she called the mechanic to fix her car. She waited by an open window in the living room, working on her resume for work. Why do it later when she was about to graduate. She had to pay off university fees one way or another.

Billy was outside his house, working on his car and sprucing up his baby as he heard a car drive over to (y/n)'s place. He rolled out from under his car and wiped the oil off his face, seeing some man start inspecting her car.

"You've got to be shitting me right?" (Y/n) gasps out and Billy raises a brow at her annoyed expression.

"Afraid so ma'am. This car has more than one issue which needs to be fixed. That's the lowest I'm charging for you."

"$1200!? That can't be right!" Billy scoffed and walked across the street.

"What's the problem here?"

"There's no problem son. Best you run along now-"

"-don't fucking call me son." Billy hissed as he grabbed the mechanics' collar.

"Billy." (Y/n) hissed lowly and he looks at her to see her glaring at him and he puts the mechanic down. "Thank you for your help sir but the price is too much. I won't be needed your service today."

"Ungrateful shits..." the mechanic mumbles out as he gets in his car and drives off, Billy having to use every ounce of willpower to not grab him and clock him in the face.

"That fucking shit scammer thinks he can pull a fast one on me!" (Y/n) groans out, running her fingers through her hair on how she could get her car to work.

"I'll fix it." Billy says as he walks back to his car and grabs his stuff, coming back to (y/n)'s.

"Wait, you don't have to! You don't even know what's wrong with it!"

"Just shut up and let me do it." Billy rolls under (y/n)'s car, waiting for a bit to hear her sigh in defeat earning him a smirk. He sees her feet disappear as she pads away, rolling back out to see her walk back into the house before he goes to fix what was wrong with her car.

~~~~~~~~
(y/n) poured the lemonade she maid into a jug on the tray with some cups, carrying it outside with a towel to see Billy working beneath the hood. "Is the issue really that bad? You have been out here for hours now." (y/n) asks, walking towards the car to see the tray down on the top of it when Billy steps to the side in her view. She freezes, seeing him shirtless and smoking. Literally and figuratively.
Mans has abs... damn son...
(y/n) quickly averted her eyes in embarrassment from staring but Billy caught her, a shy look on her face and he smirks. "I'm upgrading your car." he steps closer to her, grabbing a glass of the lemonade she made. (y/n) could see Billy's skin shine from the sheen of sweat on his muscles and she quickly steps back.
"So you have been messing with my car?" (y/n) crosses her arms and Billy just downs the drink, humming at the sweet and slightly cold bitter taste.
"Nah, just making it... better."
"Is that right?" Billy went to close the hood, happy with the alterations and the fact he had the chance to get his hands dirty with some work.
"You will definitely feel and hear the difference once you drive again."
"Cars are just cars to me. I don't notice or care about the difference as long as they just take me where I need to go." (y/n) shrugs, chucking Billy a towel to wipe his face and body before he ruined his shirt.
"That's a very hurtful statement (y/n)! Not every car is the same. There are ones so much better than the others, such as my Camaro." Billy chuckles, wondering where this topic was going as he leaned against (y/n)'s car. She laughs lowly, grabbing some lemonade to drink.
"I have to agree. Your Camaro is actually quite nice. But it's too nice for me. I feel like I would be scared to drive just to not ruin the paint job or something."
"It's not like you're a shit driver."
"Oh, you should've seen me when I first got my license. I was scared shitless. Even now! I'm terrified of driving so that's why I have this small thing." (y/n) hums out, patting her car.
"Driving is amazing-"
"-it gives you freedom I know. Everyone says that." (y/n) rolls hers eyes and Billy notices the irritation in her tone. "Some people just need to get it through their fucking heads that I will never enjoy driving..." (y/n) whispers and Billy wonders who those people could be that she would hate them with so much spite. "Anyway, are you all done?" she says and he nods. "How much should I owe you-"
"-don't even think about it (y/n). You're not paying me for doing something I enjoy."
"-but-"
"-no buts, but I do enjoy yours." Billy winks and (y/n) rolls her eyes. "Seriously though. Don't need to pay me back. Think of it as a favour."
"So I owe you one. I'm doing a lot of that lately."
"You pay me back anyway so don't worry about it." Billy says, remembering how she cared for him.
"Oh, that reminds me. Thanks again... for last night..." (y/n) says, rubbing her neck sheepishly. "I don't know what would've happened if you didn't find me... I know I would've been really lost." Billy was about to ask (y/n) what led her to drinking so much last night, what she meant about wanting to run away when he hears someone call for her and he grinds his jaw.
"(y/n)!"
"Hey Max! Got bored of the arcade?" the redhead nods as she skates up to the older girl, hugging her. "Here. You must be thirsty." (y/n) passes Max a glass of lemonade and she takes it gratefully, saying how good it tasted. The redhead thanks (y/n) before passing her the glass and saying goodbye as she ran into the house to do some homework. "You wanna come in?" (y/n) asks Billy as he blinks, having been lost in his thoughts and he shakes his head.
"Gotta stay in and keep an eye on the shitheel."
"Oi." (y/n) narrows her eyes at Billy for cursing out Max but he rolls his eyes.
"I'll see you around... (y/n)..." Billy says as he grabs his stuff, walking to his house. He looked over his shoulder to see her wave, yelling out goodbye across the street which causes a small smile to grow on his face before he quickly shakes it off.
God, the things she's doing to me...
