(y/n) - your name
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"(y/n)!" Billy peaks over his shoulder as he heard one of the prissy goody two shoes call out her name, the brunette chick waving her over to the table she sat at in the cafeteria. Billy watched her go over to the brunette, sitting down with her. He had been keeping an eye on her the whole day today at school, from the moment she left the house till now. That didn't stop him from flirting with girls like routine and pulling them into empty classrooms for a quick fuck, but that also didn't mean that he didn't stop all that once he saw (y/n).
She wore an off-shoulder long sleeve shirt with cargo pants, a flannel shirt and those damn combat boots she wore every day. It was her normal getup but it was unusually hot today in Hawkins so why wasn't she wearing short sleeves like she sometimes did on heatwaves like this. He had regret eating up at him from the inside, leaving her the way he did last night knowing she was terrified of being alone. He should've stayed and not just being a fucking pain in the ass like he always was.
"Billy..." some chick on his lap whines like an annoying bitch, turning his head to kiss him and he doesn't waste a second to pull her in closer. She smelled horrible, cheap perfume drowned on this girl and her hair was crunchy like she sprayed too much hairspray on it. It wasn't soft like (y/n)'s, didn't have her heavenly floral scent like (y/n).
"Does he have to do that here? I'm gonna puke..." Carol tries to whisper to Tommy but fails, Billy ignoring her as he pulls the girl on his lap off him. He had enough of her, winking at her as she giggles shamelessly and walks to her group of friends that squeal. Billy looks over at (y/n) again to see her chatting with the three loser musketeers, Harrington and her having a heated argument.
"Why did he drop you off at school yesterday!?"
"Like I said, I woke up late and my car wasn't working!"
"He didn't do anything to you? Make any moves on you and do something you didn't want him too?"
"No! He's a good guy when he isn't acting like a fucking pain in the ass!" Billy smiles lowly at that, turning around on the bench to lean his back against the table with his legs spread. He closes his eyes behind his sunnies, arms up on the table on either side of him as he chewed on his gum.
"A good guy my fucking ass-"
"-Steve. I'm ok. He's my neighbour and we look out for each other. I'm safe with him ok."
"Fine, if you're good then fine but I will beat his ass."
"You can try. Don't think I haven't heard about him getting the beat on you." Billy snorts at (y/n)'s reply, clearing his throat before standing up to spit out his gum and pull out a cigarette. Billy was lighting up the stick when a wash of flowers drifted over him and he closes his eyes, sighing from the sweet smell and opening his eyes to see (y/n) walk past him. She didn't look at him, didn't give him a glance and he was stuck watching her walk away.

"O-Oh, Ophelia, you've been on my mind girl since the flood. Oh, Ophelia, h-heaven help a fool who falls in love~"
The night was quiet as it usually was but in the dead of midnight, it was broken by drunken slurring and singing by a single girl that walked down the road with a bottle of Jack in her hand.
"O-Oh, Ophelia, you've been on my mind girl since the flood. Oh, Ophelia, h-heaven help a fool who falls in love~"
(y/n) sings out lowly, taking a swig from her bottle as she stumbled down the road to god knows where. All she knew was that she wanted to run away again. She felt trapped again. Like she did before moving to this godforsaken invisible town. The road was empty of cars and living people, free reign to drown out the silence that clawed into her brain. It was the fucking silence she hated so much, hated the deafening quiet.
"I, I, when I was younger, I, I, should have known better. And I can't feel no remorse. And you don't feel nothing back~"
The girl mumbles up into the night sky, raising the bottle in her hand before saying cheers. She looks up at the stars that simply twinkles back at her and she stops, just staring at them. She was lost in their gaze, wiping away the stray tears that escaped.
Billy was going around his night drive as usual, needing the time too cool off. The cigarette hung on his lips, blowing out in the cold night as he drove down an empty lane to head back to the house when he sees a single person standing right in the middle of the road.
He honks at them but they don't move. "For fucks sake! Move!"
"O-Oh, Ophelia, you've been on my mind girl since the flood. Oh, Ophelia, h-heaven help a fool who falls in love~"
(y/n) sings out again, finishing the rest of the alcohol before straightening her head to see a car in front of her. She blinks at it but ignores it, turning around to throw the bottle away as far as she could.
"What the fuck is she doing!?" Billy groans out when he realised it was (y/n), hearing her voice sing out some lyric of a song before throwing a glass bottle away. It shatters and he jumps out, heading over to her. "(y/n)!" He turns her around, freezing when he sees her tear-stained cheeks and the loopy smile on her face from drinking so much. The smile trembles like she was trying to hold up the happy facade but the sadness knocks it out.
"Hey Billy..."
"(y/n), what the fuck are you doing!?" He looks around if there was anyone else and (y/n) does the same. "It's dangerous out here!"
"There's no one here. Please, how dangerous could this fucking stain on a map town be?" (y/n) scoffs but Billy growls lowly that she was out wasted and walking alone at night.
"Let's go." He grabs her arm and pulls her to his car.
"Let me go!"
"I'm taking you home, now stop fucking squirming or I'm picking you up."
"I'd like to see you try! I'm a fat piece of shit! I'm probably too heavy for you anyway-woah!" (y/n) gasps as Billy throws her over his shoulder, holding her legs tight and taking her to his car. "Billy!" She holds on to his shirt tightly. "Put me down!"
"Fuck no!" he puts her in his car and slams the door closed, quickly getting in the driver's seat and locking the doors before (y/n) could jump out. She may be wasted but she was still conscious of her abilities. "(y/n), fucking stop!" Billy growls out as she tries to climb out through the open window and he pulls her back, putting the windows up before driving.
She made no move to escape, falling deathly silent immediately and it worried Billy as (y/n) just looked out the window tiredly. He pulled the windows down knowing (y/n) wouldn't try to crawl out of a moving car, her leaning her head on the edge to feel the cold wind on her face as she hung her hand out to move it up and down like a wave. Billy got to (y/n)'s place in no time, unlocking the car doors and getting out to help her out but she just sits in her seat. She stares out front, making no movements to get up until she turns to look at Billy.
"I want to leave..." she whispers and he frowned at her.
"What do you mean?" (y/n) shook her head.
"Nevermind..." she mumbles out and Billy sighs, going over to get the spare keys in the feeder and going back to help (y/n) walk inside her house. "I don't feel good..." she stumbles over her feet and Billy sweeps her up in his arms bridal style.
"No shit. You've been drinking for god knows how long..." He takes her up to her room, setting her down on her bed.
"No... I need to change-" (y/n) rushes to her bathroom and Billy winces as he hears her heave out her stomach in the toilet. He groans and goes inside the bathroom, standing next to (y/n) as he held her hair and rubbed her back.
"Just get rid of it all..." Billy mumbles out and (y/n) heaves her stomach clean, groaning in disgust as she flushes the toilet and moves to wash her face before brushing her teeth.
"Yuck..." Billy leaves her to clean, wondering how many times she had gotten drunk to still properly look after herself even if she was wasted. He looked around, trying to figure out where (y/n) kept her clothes but she beat him to it, grabbing clean clothes to change into behind the bathroom doors and going for her bed.
"Thanks... for bringing me back here..." she mumbles out, sitting up against the headboard, eyes heavy for sleep.
"Yeah... no problem..." Billy moved to leave and head back to his house but he stops, looking over at (y/n) who slept upright as she held her stomach in discomfort and he groans at the move he was going to pull. After making sure everything was locked like she did and taking his jacket off, Billy slipped into (y/n)'s bed and pulled her into his chest to let her sleep on him. She instantly sighed in relief, Billy pulling the blanket upon her shoulders to keep her warm.
