Brendan regrouped with Team Magma after Maxie sent a message out.

"You know the new champion up in Kanto?" They nodded as he showed a picture. "He's actually the leader of Team Rocket."

"Oh god-" Brendan took the picture, which was actually a warning sign.

"That was sent from Johto. A group of trainers there are trying to spread an alert to all regions after Team Rocket took over Kanto." Brendan gulped.

"There's news that the Kanto Champion is coming here-" The group froze. "We have to intercept him."

Seeing Team Magma crowding the Lilycove Harbor practically alerted the League. However, none of them would fight. They merely blocked the entrances to the port town, allowing people to pass and only keeping an eye out for someone. They even let the league members through, which really confused them. Wouldn't you want to stop the people that could defeat you?

Brendan stood guard at the docks, eyeing the ship that was claimed to be from Kanto. He spoke softly into a com as the league approached him.

"Ship spotted." May paused.

"Do you know what's going on?" He glanced at her. "Team Magma's acting weird and you're here early." He fished a hand into his bag as Courtney responded to his words.

"Copy that. Verifying ship now." He pulled out the paper and handed it to her before responding.

"Copy." He then replied to the league, who was now looking over the paper. "That was sent here from Johto. And from what the newspaper said, they're right up there." Courtney gave an answer as the league looked at him.

"Ship verified. That's our target."

"Copy that. Spread the word." He turned it off and turned to them. "Not letting the evil take something that isn't theirs." Maxie joined him with two cups of coffee. He passed one to the trainer with a hum.

"We ready?"

"Just need the ship to hurry up."

The ship docked as Team Magma shifted, circling the crowd that was waiting for the Kanto Champion. Steven growled.

"They may seem right, but I don't trust them."

"Then get ready. They'll surely launch at him." The Hoenn Champion nodded as May went over. Three people got off with a Persian at one's feet. They went over as the person in front shook Steven's hand.

"Champion Red, right?" He nodded. "Good to meet you. Welcome to Hoenn." Red smiled as the female beside him hummed. "Why don't we head somewhere a little quieter to talk?"

He nodded before they started moving. However, Team Magma pushed back. They allowed the civilians through the wall they made, but the second they were out of the way, the wall was firm. Maxie stepped forward as May stopped the group.

"Curses." Red kept his head down as his taller male companion got behind him and Persian stepped in front. Brendan chuckled to himself as he advanced forward. From what they found, Team Rocket and Team Aqua had an alliance. They weren't Team Aqua. Brendan and Courtney joined Maxie as Steven frowned.

"Move."

"No. We dealt with one side of the alliance. Team Rocket isn't welcome in this region." The Kanto Champion didn't say a word as the female with him frowned.

"Are you accusing the Champion of Kanto of being in an evil group?" Courtney chuckled.

"No. A little bird from Johto warned us."

Brendan saw Red curse under his breath. Ah, he knew he was caught. Instead of falling into the trap, Red whispered something to the female, who nodded, allowing him to step forward. He sent out a Blastoise, marking that he was ready for a fight. Knowing the team wasn't ready to fight against Water, Brendan stepped forward, sending out his Absol. May glared at him, clearly showing her disapproval. His dad, on the other hand, was encouraging him.

"Should be simple enough."

Brendan technically won. Red lost his Blastoise and that's when Team Rocket revealed themselves. Persian took the field and knocked out his Absol before the group was teleported back to Kanto, no doubt planning a vengeance against them. Oh well.

The others weren't too happy.

"You do know who you fought, right?"

"Yeah. The Leader of Team Rocket."

Courtney chuckled as they grouped up in Mossdeep City. Steven glared at them. Maxie then spoke.

"Team Rocket and Team Aqua had an alliance. That's the real reason they were here. They were going to meet with Archie and discuss the plan to take over Hoenn. We found evidence in the old Aqua Base. You're all welcome." May gulped.

"So now what?" Brendan huffed as Maxie smiled.

"Well, don't take us as threats." The league looked confused. "We only wanted Team Aqua gone and to protect Hoenn. We'll only be doing that. We have no plans for anything else." Brendan smiled.

"Most of us have other things to do anyway. Families to take care of, friends to annoy, journeys to complete." Norman slowly went to the door, which got Brendan to add; "Assholes to send home-" Norman snorted.

"Your mother said dinner's at 6."

"Fuck-" The grunts chuckled at his reaction as he called out. "You're on your own!"
