Hey guys! Just so you know, music will be on the top. And if you want to play the music while reading, it's pretty fun!

Music is not a simple thing to toy around with in Lyra's world. Music can capture the mind, captivate the ears, and do so much more. We are going to America, in the distant future, when the monarchy is ruling once again. There are six main types of music:

Music healers: This special type of music can vary greatly. From a soft tune to heal a cut, to a jabbing, quick, force for delivering a babe, to the flowing notes to calm an ache. There are many different ways to healing music, and it takes a lot of work to master this art.

Hypnotism Music: This music is direct, but dangerous. It has a flowing but quick style, making the victim of the hypnotism completely captured. It works two ways: One, to calm the and immobilize the victim, or two, make the victim do whatever tasks you please. Often used by authorities, but also criminals.

War Players: This music is most possibly the hardest, only second to Healing music. A very fast and jab like style, also very fluttery and quick. Meant to harm or hurt another. The instruments for these players often have spikes, hidden points, clubs, etc. for maximum pain.

Construction Players: This is the simplest type of music, being deliberate and slow. Meant to build, or demolish a building of some sort. Can be dangerous if played the right way, but this type of music is mostly harmless.

Regal Music: This is to honor royalty, or serve the monarchy and upper class in any way possible. Mostly wielded by servants/slaves, and can move household objects. Servants are not permitted to play any other music besides this. Also can be used by the common peasants, though is usually not.

Peasant Music: This music is to literally do work, and is used by workers of any kind. Most peasants do not use this, because most cannot afford an instrument. But, there is a black market that sells instruments at cheap prices for the lower class. But, it is of course, illegal, so it is very risky to buy one there.

These are the main types of music, but there can be many more, if one is brave enough to look.
