Chapter: 46
Sameer: Yes, Mr. Hamid.
Mr. Hamid: Mr. Maheshwari, why are you whispering? Is everything ok?
Sameer chuckled and replied: Yes, Mr. Hamid. Actually my wife is taking a nap. I don't want to disturb her, that's reason why I am whispering.
Mr. Hamid: Oh, I can understand. Shall I call you after sometime?
Sameer: No no, you can talk to me right now. Not an issue. Tell me, what's the matter?
Mr. Hamid: Mr. Maheshwari, we have some sample for new fabrics, which I would like you to go through and let us know if you want to order some. So, when would it be the right time to send them to your office?
Sameer: Mr. Hamid, right now I am not in Mumbai. Even my father is with me. I would be back home day after tomorrow. Adding to this, after a week, we would have Navratri starting. So, neither of us would be available. So it would be better if send me the samples after 25th October, if that's not an issue.
Mr. Hamid: Not an issue Mr. Maheshwari. I would send them after 25th October. So, Mr. Maheshwari, how's the marriage treating you?
Sameer chuckled, and looked at the sleeping figure of Naina. Naina had curled up in the bed, and was softly snoring. Naina was about to change into saree when Manish ji came and informed them about a 2-hour delay in the departure of the baraat. So, Sameer coaxed Naina to rest for sometime. And he patted her into sleep.
Sameer: It's amazing with a capital A.
Mr. Hamid: Mr. Maheshwari, you're a really lucky man to get such a pretty wife. My wife was all praises for your wife.
Sameer: Indeed. I am the most luckiest man in this world.
Mr. Hamid: Okay Mr. Maheshwari, I will take your leave. Bye and hoping to see you soon.
Sameer: Absolutely Mr. Hamid. Hope to see you soon in Mumbai. Goodbye.
Sameer kept the phone on the table, and turned towards Naina. He smiled seeing her sleeping cutely. Seeing that they have still half an hour to relax, he slipped next to her, and started weaving his fingers through her hair. Feeling his touch, Naina scooted closer, and kept her head on his left arm, and wounded her arm on his waist. He chuckled seeing this, as few days ago Naina used to sleep with an arm's distance from him. And now, she has turned into a clingy baby, which he isn't complaining about. He dropped a kiss on her forehead, and patted her head.
Sameer: Naina ke Bhagwaan ji, meri Naina ko humesha khush rakhna. Aur mujhe itni shakti dena ki main uski iss muskan ko humesha uske chehre par rehne dun. Usne bahut zyada dukh saahe hai. Main nahi chahta ki iske aankhon mein se ek bhi aanshu dukh ke nikle. Please bhagwaan ji, meri iss ek request ko maan lijiyega.
Sameer planted one more kiss on her temple, and pulled her a little closer. Naina snuggled up to his chest, and kept her head on his shoulder. Sameer had just closed his eyes, when someone knocked on the door. Sameer rolled his eyes in annoyance, and softly detached himself from Naina, and kept a pillow in place of him, and went to open the door.
Opening the door, he found his cute goofball, Pari standing there with a wide smile on her face. Sameer smiled seeing her, and kneeled in front of her. Pari squealed in joy, but Sameer asked her to not to shout and pointed towards Naina who was sleeping. Pari held her ears, and Sameer got her inside the room.
Sameer: Hi baby!
Pari: Hi Sameer Chachu. Pretty chachi ab tak sleep kar rahi hai?
Sameer: Haan baby, aapki Pretty chachi tired hai na, kal itna saara dance kiya tha na, aur aaj bhi subah ek function tha na.
Pari: Ohhhh, yes! Pari bhi rired ho jati hai jab uske school mein woh dancing and running functions hote hai.
Sameer: Rired nahi beta, woh tired hota hai.
Pari: Yes yes! Pretty Chachi kab tak sleep finish kar legi Sameer Chachu? Mujhe Pretty Chachi se ready hona hai. Unhone bahut pretty hair kiye the mere, uss green function wale day mein.
Sameer smiled, and made her sit on the couch. He sat next to her, and weaved his fingers through her hair.
Sameer: Bas thodi der aur wait kar lo baby. Phir main aapki Pretty Chachi ko utha dunga. Aur hum teeno ready ho jayenge phir.
Pari: Sameer Chachu! Aapko pata hai Pari bahut ecited hai aapke home jaane ko. Aur apni new family se meet karne ko. But main sabse zyada ecited hun woh special aunty ko meet karne ko. Pretty Chachi tell kar rahi thi ki woh special Aunty bahut acchi hai. Mujhse bahut pyaar karengi.
Sameer smiled at his excited goofball, and gave a kiss on her cheeks.
Sameer: Humari Pari itni cute hai ki jo bhi usse milega, woh usse pyaar kare bina reh nahi payega. Jaise aapke Papa, main, aapke V Dadu, aur Pretty Chachi aapse pyaar karte hai na, waise hi Mumbai mein humari family ke saare log aapse bahut pyaar karenge.
Pari: Mera ek question hai. Puchun?
Sameer: Bilkul pucho.
Pari: Wahan koi meri age ka boy ya girl hai?
Sameer gave a apologizing look and shook his head in denial. Pari pouted, and started drawing lines on the couch.
Pari: Toh Pari kiske saath play karegi? Pari bore ho jayegi na....
Sameer: Woh kyun bhala? Pari bilkul bore nahi hogi. Kyunki Pari ke paas bahut saare log honge play karne ke liye. Aapki Chachi hai, main hun, aapke V Dadu hai, mere Dadu hai, aapke Papa hai, woh Special Aunty hai. Aur toh aur aapki Chachi ke Papa ka ghar bhi hai. Unke ghar mein aapko Chachi ke Papa, Chachu, Chachi, Tauji, Taiji, aapki Chachi ke big brother, unki wife, aur aapki Chachi ki small sister milenge. Kitne saare log hai.
Pari: Wow! Itni big family! But main Chachi ke Papa ko kya bulaungi?
Sameer: Woh toh aapko unse milne ke baad hi pata chalega. But woh aapke grandfather hi honge. Toh maybe aap unhe Nanu bula sakte ho.
Pari: Yes! Woh mere Nanu hi honge na. Meri friend hai na Juhi, woh apni Mumma ke Papa ko Nanu bulati hai. Pretty Chachi ne tell kiya tha na ki woh meri Mumma jaisi hai. Toh unke Papa mere Nanu honge! Right?
Sameer smiled, and gave a kiss on her cheeks and nodded.
Pari: Sameer Chachu! Aap jab school mein the, tab aap naughty boy the ya good boy?
Sameer: Main na hi very good boy tha aur na hi very naughty boy. Main middle mein tha. Naughtiness karta tha lekin thodu thodu. Aur apne Papa ki saari baat manta tha.
Pari: Hmmm, toh kya aapko V Dadu scold karte the?
Sameer: Haan, kabhi kabhi. Kyun? Aapko aapke Papa bahut scold karte hai kya?
Pari: Nahi, but jab Papa scold karte hai, tab accha nahi lagta. Aur unke paas jaane ko bhi nahi accha lagta. Par mere home mein koi aur nahi hota na. Toh mere paas koi aur otpion nahi hai, so main Papa ke paas hi sit karti hun. Phir unko thodi der baad sorry bol deti hun, and woh mujhe huggie kar lete hai.
Sameer's heart broke hearing her. He could imagine himself at her place. In his childhood and early teens, Vivek and Jaiprakash would scold him a lot, he would feel bad about it. But as he didn't have anyone other than those two, so he would just sit in his room, or in the lawn till his dad and grandfather gets cooled down. Sameer used to make mistakes knowingly so that Vivek would talk to him in the form of scolding. Because he was very much involved in his work, and didn't have time for Sameer.
Sameer's reveries broke when Pari shook his arm. He looked at her innocent face, and saw she was giving him a full blown smile, and noticed that one of her front teeth was missing. He held her face in his palm, and chuckled.
Sameer: Yeh aapka front wala teeth koun le gaya? Mouse?
Pari giggled and hit her Sameer Chachu's forehead lightly. She giggled at her Chachu's silliness which she found cute.
Pari: Aapko nahi pata ki chotu babies ke teeth correct time pe fall hone se, tooth fairy aake le jati hai. Aur gifts bhi deti hai.
Sameer acted like he found a new thing, so that his little goofball's excitement doesn't fade away.
Sameer: Acchaaa! Aapko kya gift mila?
Pari: Mujhe iss time gift nahi mila hai. Ek chocolate mila hai, ek letter ke saath. Usmein likha tha ki iss baar gift nahi milega kyunki hum aapke saath Bumbai ja rahe hai. So wahan jab teeth fall karega toh gift milega.
Sameer: Hmm, toh kya hua agar tooth fairy ne aapko aapka iss time ka gift nahi diya. Main hun na! Aapke Sameer Chachu denge aapko gift.
Pari: No! Pari ko gift nahi chahiye. Pari ko bas ek promise chahiye. Aapse, V Dadu se aur Pretty Chachi se.
Sameer raised his brows and asked: Kaisa promise beta?
Pari: Pari 7 years yahan, alone rahi hai. Only Papa ke saath. Aap teeno ko Pari se promise karna hoga, ki wahan aapke home, Bumbai mein aap mujhe alone nahi rehne doge. Agar Papa Pari ko scold kare, toh aap mein se koi na koi hona chahiye Pari ko happy karne. Mujhe ab aur alone alone rehna accha nahi lagta Sameer Chachu!
Sameer's heart melted like butter in oven, and he pulled his goofball into his arms. He hugged her tightly, and he could feel the young Sameer hugging him. He knows how it feels to be alone, and not to have anyone to cheer him up. He kissed Pari's head, and looked at her.
Sameer: Beta! Yeh aapke Sameer Chachu ka pakka promise hai. Aapke Sameer Chachu, Pretty Chachi, aur aapke V Dadu kabhi bhi, I mean kabhi bhi aapko alone nahi hone denge. Hum teeno aapse bahut pyaar karte hai. Itna ki agar count kare na, toh yeh room full ho jayega, par counting finish nahi hoga.
Pari: Really!? Aap teeno Pari se bilkul Papa jaise pyaar karte ho?
Sameer: Beta, aapke Papa se thodu sa kaam. Because iss world mein ek baby se unke Mumma Papa hi sabse zyada pyaar karte hai. Aur aapke Papa toh aapke Mumma bhi hai. Toh woh aapko double and triple times pyaar karte hai.
Pari: Pari ko pata hai, Papa uss se sabse zyada pyaar karte hai. Mere Papa world's best Papa hai.
Sameer: Aur ab world's cutest baby ho! Waise Papa kahan hai? Aaye kyun nahi?
Pari: Maine unhe kaha tha ki mere saath yahan aaye, par unhone no kaha kyunki hum yahan se ja rahe hai na aapke saath. Toh unhe packing karna hai, aur apne office aur humare ghar ko bye bye bolna hai.
Sameer: Hmm, koi baat nahi. Accha aapka bag kahan hai? Aaj night ko aap yahin stay karoge na?
Pari: No, Pari yahan stay nahi karegi. Woh Papa mujhe pick karne aayenge, wahan function se. Kal breakfast par bulaya hai Juhi ki Mumma ne.
Sameer: Aap Juhi ko miss karoge na?
Pari: Yes. Juhi meri school ki sabse first friend hai. Humari class mein na ek boy tha last year. Usne mujhe bahut bad bad bola tha. Toh Juhi ne uss boy ke upar pani phek kar mujhe protect kiya tha. Tab se woh meri friend bangayi.
Sameer: Arre waah! Juhi bahut brave sound karti hai.
Pari: Woh bahut brave hai Sameer Chachu! Ek baar uske Nishant Chachu ko late hogaya usse school se pick karne mein. Woh bilkul cry nahi ki. Guard uncle ke side mein baithi rahi, aur apne Nishant Chachu ka wait kar rahi thi. Main usse bahut miss karungi.
Sameer held her face, and gave her a smile.
Sameer: Aap usse regularly baat karte rehna. Video call bhi karna. Aur holidays mein kabhi kabhi yahan aa jaana. Usse milne aur aapki Dida se milne.
Pari: Really? Kya main yahan aa sakti hun? Par how? Jab meri holidays hoti hai tab Papa ki nahi hoti. Aur wahan bhi toh Papa office jayenge na.
Pari pouted and looked down. Sameer smiled and lifted her head up.
Sameer: Wahan sirf aapke Papa thodi honge aapke saath. Aapke saath kitne saare log rahenge, aur agar Papa nahi toh koi aur aapko le aayega. Main aur aapki Pretty Chachi aapko yahan sakte hai, aapke V Dadu aapko yahan la sakte hai, aur aapke Papa bhi la sakte hai. Kyunki wahan Papa office zaroor jayenge but yahan ki tarah unhe bahut kam chutti nahi milegi. Woh jab chahe tab chutti leke, apni princess ke saath time spend kar sakte hai.
Pari's eyes glittered hearing to Sameer, she gave a big smile showing her teeth, and hugged her Sameer Chachu.
Pari: Sachi Sameer Chachu!?
Sameer pinched her nose and said: Muchi baby!
Pari: Wow! Toh Papa Pari ko sirf school se pick drop nahi, balki uska homework bhi kar sakte hai, usko sirf dinner par nahi, balki lunch aur breakfast par bhi meet karenge.
Sameer: Haan betu!
Pari was still in her dreamworld, and Sameer was thinking of how deprived Pari's childhood would be. He could imagine her sitting alone on the breakfast table, and having breakfast with her governess. He could hear Pari's expectant voice when she would have called her father to come and have lunch with her, and heard a NO in return. He could imagine an excited Pari, who woke up to find her father right next to her, at the hour when he must have left for his office. He could imagine and hear those things, because 18 years down the line, he was wearing Pari's shoes. If a 10 year old Sameer could feel those things, and an emptiness, then how can't a 7 year old Pari feel them?
Sameer: Pari! Baby! Aap bahut brave ho!
Pari: Main kuch samjhi nahi Sameer Chachu!
Sameer: Aap itna time Papa se far rehte the, aur kitne bravely aap apne aap ko handle karte the. Toh huye na aap brave.
Pari smiled and nodded. She was about to say something cute, when both of them heard ruffling. Their gaze fell on the sleeping figure of Naina. They could she was shifting her position. And this indicated Sameer that his wife is about to wake up.
Pari: Sameer Chachu! Chalo, Pretty Chachi ko suprise dete hai. Woh eyes open kare, usse pehle hum jaake bed par unke side mein baith jaate hai.
Sameer: Idea accha hai. Chalo....
Sameer and Pari stealthily walked to the bed, and Pari sat on the empty side of the bed carefully, and Sameer stood behind her. Feeling the other side of the bed dipping, Naina slowly opened her eyes. She saw the Chacha-Bhatiji duo, and gave a small smile. After the smile was reciprocated, she rolled to the other side, and engulfed Pari and Sameer into a hug together. Sameer got startled, and balanced himself with his left arm. Naina and Pari were on the bed, he was towering over them. After sometime, Sameer detached himself and went to the other side. He sat next to Naina, who had her cute betu, laying on top of her, with her head on her Chachi's shoulder, and her arm her Chachi's upper abdomen. Naina was weaving her fingers through Pari's hair. They resembled like a mother and daughter, where the mother is showering love on her daughter. Sameer took balayein of them, and mentally prayed to God for keeping their bond as it was, filled with love and adore.
Naina: Pari! Betu aap kab aaye? Aur aap ne Chachi ko uthaya kyun nahi?
Pari: Jab aap sleep kar rahe the, Pari tabhi aayi. Aur aap bahut rired the na. Toh Pari ne aapko wake nahi kiya.
Naina: Par utna time jo main aapke saath spend nahi kar payi. Uska kya?
Pari giggled seeing Naina's pout, and hugged her Pretty Chachi more tightly, and snuggled up to her chest.
Pari: Aap kitni cute ho Pretty Chachi! Bilkul baby jaise, aap sleep karte ho. Aur abhi bilkul meri tarah face bana rahe ho.
Naina smiled, and looked at Sameer who was already looking at both of them with heart eyes. Naina held his left arm, and tugged it a little, to grab his attention. Sameer looked at her, and mouthed a I love you and blew a flying kiss, to which Naina's cheeks tinted and she diverted her gaze.
Naina: Betu, aapko pata hai. Main aur aapke Sameer Chachu bahut happy hai ki aap humare saath parso Mumbai chal rahe ho. Aur aapke V Dadu ne toh lambi list bana li hai ki woh aapke saath konse games khelenge, aur aapke liye Mumbai jaate hi kya banwayenge aur aapko pehle konsi jagah leke jayenge ghumane.
Pari: Pari bhi bahut happy hai. Sameer Chachu ne tell kiya hai ki ab Pari alone nahi hai. Uske paas bahut big family hai. Uske paas Dadu bhi hai aur Nanu bhi hai. Aur woh bhi 3 Nanu.
Naina understood that she is referring her father and uncles as her Nanu. Naina felt delighted with the fact that Sameer acknowledged her family as Pari's maternal family. And how can't he. Because he isn't just any other man. He is Sameer Maheshwari. Her Meer. And her Meer is the best and different from the rest.
Sameer: Pari, maine aapse promise kiya hai na, ki aapko kabhi alone feel nahi karne dunga. Koi aur ho ya na ho, aapke Sameer Chachu aur aapki Pretty Chachi humesha apni princess ke paas rahenge. Yeh humara pakka wala promise hai.
Naina: Haan, aur hum dono apne saare promises nibhayenge. Yeh ek aur promise hai humara.
Pari smiled and stretched her hand towards Sameer. Sameer chuckled, and shifted closer. As his right arm was injured, and if bend to hug them, then it would get stretched so, Naina along with Pari, scooted into his arms. They looked like a picture perfect family. Dad, mom and their little bundle of joy ❤
Samaina (in their mind): Bhagwaan ji! Hum teeno ke beech ka yeh bond aissa hi rehna chahiye. Isse change maat hone dijiyega.
The three of them were still in each other's embrace when Naina's phone rang. It was actually an alarm which reminded Naina that it was Kairav's wedding day and the three of them need to get ready.
Naina: Pari! Betu aap function ke liye koi dusra dress laye ho ya yeh hi pehne rehna hai?
Pari: Papa ne uss bag mein ek pair rakha hai. Unhone kaha tha ki aapko bolun ki aap dekho aur phir.....ammm......kya kaha tha. D se start hota hai. Kya word tha......Oh god! D for.......ammm
Sameer: Baby, Papa ne decide kaha tha?
Pari grinned and wobbled her head. Naina chuckled and pulled Pari's nose. Sameer went to get the bag Pari was talking about. He had just picked up the bag when someone knocked at the door. Sameer opened it to find Akshara and Abhimanyu standing.
Sameer: Aap dono?
Akshara: Ji haan! Hum dono! Hum dono aap dono ko ready karne aaye hai. Mujhe laga hi tha ki aap dono ready nahi huye honge. Aur dekho! Sach mein nahi hai.
Pari tried to peak whose on the door, and seeing this, Naina picked her in her arms and walked till the door. When Pari saw Akshara and Abhimanyu, she squealed in happiness and excitement.
Pari: Chocolate wali Aunty! Doctor Uncle!
Akshara: Arre! Pari baby! Aap kab aaye?
Pari: Pari thode time pehle aayi. Papa ne drop kiya.
Naina: Tum dono yahan kya kar rahe ho?
Abhimanyu: Aapko aur aapke husband ko taiyar karne aaye hai.
Akshara: Aur ab aap dono ki bhatiji ko bhi.
Pari: Main inki bhatuji nahi hun. Main inki Betu hun ❤
Samaina smiled at Pari, who was looking at Sameer with heart eyes. Sameer blew a flying kiss to his Betu, Pari felt shy, and hid her face in the crook of the neck of her Chachi.
Akshara chuckled and replied: Ok. Hum aap dono ko aur aapki Betu ko ready karne aaye hai. So Sameer! Aap apna samaan leke Abhi ke saath jayiye. Main aapki wife aur aapki Princess ko ready karke neeche milti hun aapse.
Sameer: Par.....
Abhimanyu held Sameer by his shoulder, and said: No par war. Jaldi se layiye apne kapde. Hume jaldi ready hona hai aur nikalna hai. Shaadi bas 5 KM dur ho rahi hai iska matlab yeh thodi hai ki der se nikle.
Akshara: Aur toh aur, Kairav bhaiya utawale huye ja rahe hai jaane ke liye. Aur late kiya toh akele nikal jayenge baraat leke.
Naina: Accha baba! Abhimanyu, yeh last time hai. Isliye, thank you aur sorry dono.
Abhimanyu: Lo! Bana diya na mujhe paraya. Naina! Sameer mere dost hai aur dost dost ke kaam nahi aayega toh kiske kaam aayega? So no sorry and thank you.
Akshu! Acche se taiyar karna Pari aur Naina ko!
After 25 minutes, Sameer was ready and sitting in the hall along with both Goenka and Birla men. Vivek had gone to the venue because Krisha's father personally gave him a call, and asked him to come sooner and meet his family and other associates.
Ban-Than Ke Mutiyara Aaiyan
Aaiyan Patola Banke
Kanna De Vich Pippal Patiyan
Baanhi Chooda Khanke
Sameer was trying to do something on his phone, when he heard the jingling and tinkling sound of bangles and anklets. He turned around to find Naina and Akshara's head approaching. Due to the decorations all over the house, he couldn't see her total frame.
Ban-Than Ke Mutiyara Aaiyan
Aaiyan Patola Banke
Kanna De Vich Pippal Patiyan
Baanhi Chooda Khanke
Sameer's breath got stuck when Naina came into his view. She looked like a fairy straight out of the fairy tales in the off-white stone and embroidered saree. Her blouse had shorter sleeves than the sleeves of her usual blouses, which exposed her milky arm. Her makeup wasn't too loud or too dull. Just perfect. Her eyes were downcast till now. And when he followed her gaze, he found his goofball. Pari was twinning with her Chachi wearing a cute off-white lehenga with net and lace dupatta. She had worn a stoned hairband attached mangtika, and her wrist had white bangles.
Mere Sohneya Sohneya Ve
Ve Maahi Mera Kithe Nahio Dil Lagna
Mere Sohneya Sohneya Ve
Ve Maahi Mera Kithe Nahio Dil Lagna
Sameer immediately took balayein of them with his left arm, and stood at his place admiring the most gorgeous girls of his life.
Maahi...
Naina knew that Sameer's gaze was on her, the moment she was at the first step of the staircase. But she didn't meet her eyes with him, because she knew, if she did then she would get lost in his eyes, and the desire and passion in his eyes would melt her into a puddle.
Jaavi Chhod Ke Na Tere Naal Rehna Ve
Tu Singaar Mera Tu Hai Maahi Gehna Ve
Jaavi Chhod Ke Na Tere Naal Rehna Ve
Tu Singaar Mera Tu Hai Maahi Gehna Ve
Seeing the Naina nearing, he could now see the exact features of his wife. He noticed that she had tucked two three red roses behind her right ear, which complimented her all white look. She had wore an emerald green kundan choker and matinee necklace with small kundan studs. Her wrist as usual as filled with bangles. She had matched her bangles with her jewellery, and wore green velvety bangles along with two mirror work thin bangles, and a white beaded bangle in between them, both at the start and end of the green bangles. Seeing him observing her with so much interest, Naina's cheeks tinted and she diverted her gaze.
Haaye Doori Hai Vairi
Jinna Tu Mera Ohni Main Teri
But she again looked at him, to adore the handsomeness of her husband. He was twinning with both her and Pari, by wearing a mirror work off white kurta with a long lacy over it. Miraculously the bandage support had changed its color from blue to white, which went with his kurta. Someone had tied a baby pink pagdi on his head, and had inserted a cute brooch on it. He looked like a typical Marwari man, ready for a wedding.
Mere Sohneya Sohneya Ve
Ve Maahi Mera Kithe Nahio Dil Lagna
Mere Sohneya Sohneya Ve
Ve Maahi Mera Kithe Nahio Dil Lagna
When Naina stood only one feet far, from him, he took balayein of her, and dabbed his finger with some kajal from her eyes, behind her ears.
Sameer: Tum itni sundar lag rahi ho ki mere paas alfaz nahi hai jisse main bayan kar sakun ki tum aaj kitni khubsurat lag rahi ho.
Pari: Aur main?
Sameer giggled and replied: Aap! Aap apni Pretty Chachi se kam sundar nahi lag rahe ho!
He took balayein of her as well, and kissed her forehead. Pari giggled and kissed her Sameer Chachu's cheeks.
Pari: Aap bhi bahut sandhome lag rahe ho!
Naina chuckled and said: Sandhome nahi Betu! Handsome! Sand home toh beach par banate hai na.
Pari bit her tongue and said sorry. Sameer smiled and squeezed her cheeks.
Akshara: Ahem ahem! Koi hume bhi batao ki hum kaise lag rahe hai!
Abhimanyu: Tum husn pari tum jane jahan! Tum sabse haseen, tum sabse jawaan! Soundarya sabun Nirma! Oops! Sorry! Soundarya wali Akshu!
Everyone giggled and Abhimanyu rubbed his nape in embarrassment.
Manish: Chalo chalo! Nikalte hai. Kairav already bahar ghodi par baith kar ready hai.
Haaye Tera Rasta Ve
Nange Pair Turrna Ve
Tu Hai Naal Mere
Taan Main Kyon Ae Darna Ve
When Sameer turned to go, Naina held his palm. He looked at her, and she smiled after giving a slight squeeze to his palm. Sameer left her hand, and wounded his arm around her shoulder. He blinked his eyes, and gave a smile.
The Goenka and Birla families were in front, and only the Maheshwari couple was behind, so Naina thought to take a chance.
Naina: Waise! Meer, aapko maine kaha nahi par. Aap iss color mein bahut hi zyada handsome lag rahe hai. Aur woh bhi hero wala handsome. So......
She made him turn, and gave a kiss on his cheek and at the corner of his lips, on his light stubble. She mouthed an I love you and ran away.
Haaye Tera Rasta Ve
Nange Pair Turrna Ve
Tu Hai Naal Mere
Taan Main Kyon Ae Darna Ve
Sameer was astounded, and he just gapped her back. When he realized what happened, he shook his head and mumbled a Pagli. He was walking towards her when his eyes fell something.
Sameer: Naina!
With his voice, not only Naina, but the whole gathering turned around. Sameer fastened his steps, and reached near her. She raised her brows in question. He smiled and kneeled in front of her. Naina gasped, but then she realized what he is doing. This not only surprised Naina, but everyone present. When Naina's back was facing him, he noticed that the embroidered line, near her calf muscles had got folded. And when she was facing him, he realized why. Because the middle pleats of her saree, wasn't pleated properly. So Sameer stiffened her pleats and unfolded the folded embroidered line.
Naina's eyes moistened with happy tears seeing the amount of respect and love he has for her. After he was done, Sameer stood up and dusted off any dust stuck on his pyjama.
Haaye Dono Ne Rona
Dono Ne Hansna
Sab Nu Hai Dassna
He looked at Naina and found the glassy layer in her eyes. He raised his eyes in question and she shook her head in denial.
Naina whispered: I love you.
Sameer chuckled and wiping her tears, he replied: I love you too Sameer ki jaan
Seeing the blooming love of the Maheshwari couple, Birla and Goenka families' heart melted and they smiled.
Mere Soneya Soneya Ve
Ve Maahi Mera Kithe Nahio Dil Lagna
Mere Sohneya Sohneya Ve
Ve Maahi Mera Kithe Nahio Dil Lagna
Finally! After Kairav's long and impatient wait, his family was proceeding with the ritual of baraat. Swarna did his aarti, and Manish signalled the horseman to let his horse move.
Sameer: Naina! Woh.....I know this isn't the correct time. But, woh.....woh.....mere paas tumhare liye kuch hai.
When Akshara saw Samaina weren't moving, she was about to call them but Abhimanyu interrupted.
Abhimanyu: Woh dono aa jayenge piche piche. Sameer ne kuch plan kiya hai Naina ko dene ke liye. Let them have their moment. Hum Pari ko leke chalte hai.
Akshara looked at Samaina and smiled. She was happy that finally her friend has got the man who loves and would love her beyond any limit and selflessly. She followed Abhimanyu and took Pari with her for dancing at the front.
Naina: Accha! Kya hai? Gajra hai kya? But maine already rose lagaya hai.
Naina pouted as she can't wear the mogra flowers got by her Meer. Sameer chuckles and shook his head in no.
Sameer: Sorry gajra nahi hai. Par kuch aissa hai jisko jab jab dekhogi tumhe mere pyaar ki aur meri yaad zaroor aayegi.
Sameer fisted out a velvet box from his kurta pocket. He looked at Naina who looking at him with her doe shaped eyes with lots of innocence.
Sameer: Kairav ke roke wale din, maine tumse kaha tha ki iss shaadi ke rasmon ke saath, hum humari shaadi ke rasmon ke yaadon mein naye rang bhar denge. Roke ke kangan de diye. Par engagement ring nahi diya maine. So.....
He opened the box, and Naina gasped. She already had a solitaire ring which he had slipped into her ring finger. Today the box held a matching band ring studded with diamonds. The diamonds didn't catch her eyes, but the emotions did.
Naina: Aap! Aap kyun itne acche hai Meer! Aap......pata nahi Mummy ji ne aapko kya khake paida kiya tha. Aap kis mitti se baane hai? Humari shaadi ke rasmon mein main khush nahi thi isliye aap khush nahi the. Aur aaj jab hum dono khush hai, aap wapas se unn rasmon ko daura rahe hai. Taaki unn yaadon mein dukh nahi humari khushiyaan chhalke. Pata nahi maine kya punya kiye the pichle janam jo aap mujhe mile!
Sameer: Naina! Maanta hun ki meri soch dusre mardon se alag hai. Kyunki mujhe do aisse mardon ne paala hai jinhone apni biwiyon se beintehaa pyaar kiya tha. Aur wohi maine sikha hai. Naina! Yeh ring aur jo ring tumhari ungli mein hai, yeh mere liye tumhe mujhse nahi, balki mere dil ko tumhare dil se bandhne wali dor hai. Uss waqt jab main tumhe yeh ring pehna raha tha, main janta tha ki yeh bas ek aissa pathar hai jo tumhe mere saath apni zindagi jeene ke liye mazboor karega. Par aaj! Aaj main janta hun ki yeh ring jo abhi main tumhe pehnaunga toh tumhe mazboor nahi karega. Woh tumhe yeh yaad dilayega ki iss duniya mein koi hai jo tumhara intezaar karta hai. Jo tumhari muskan ke liye kuch bhi kar sakta hai. Apni khushiyon ko kurbaan bhi.
Ve Maahi Mera Kithe Nahio Dil Lagna
Ve Maahi Mera Kithe Nahio Dil Lagna
Naina sniffed when after completing his emotional and cute speech, he slipped the newly bought ring in her ring finger, followed by the engagement ring. She wiped her tears and hit Sameer's arm.
Naina pouted and said: Aapko mujhe rulana accha lagta hai shayad. Humesha aap mujhe aisse emotional baatein karke rula dete hai. I don't like you!
Sameer chuckled. He wounded his arm around her waist, and his chin on top of her head. He inhaled her natural feminine mist and dropped a kiss on her head.
Sameer: I love you too meri jaan ❤
Naina: I love you three.
Sameer chuckled and asked: Accha, ab chalo. Kairav ki baraat bhi enjoy karni.
Naina: Ji! Chaliye! Waise main thik toh dikh rahi hun na? Kajal fel toh nahi gaya na.
Sameer: Nahi! Tumhara kajal aur makeup bilkul thik hai. Tum bilkul pehle jaise hi lag rahi ho!
Naina: Chaliye phir!
Ban-Than Ke Mutiyara Aaiyan
Aaiyan Patola Banke
Kanna De Vich Pippal Patiyan
Baanhi Chooda Khanke
Samaina held each other's hand, and got involved in the energetic baraat of Kairav. Naina, Akshara, Aarohi, Vansh, and Abhimanyu were grooving to the songs played by the band wale, they had also included Pari into their dancing group, and Sameer was just enjoying seeing them, and was occasionally clicking pictures.
Reaching the venue, Krisha's family welcomed the baraatis with aarti and flower garland. Krisha's mom did few rituals with Kairav, which involved pulling his nose, asking him to hit a pot hung high with the help of the neem stick given to him, and washed his feet before he entered the venue.
Sameer and Naina were just moving around the venue, when someone tapped on Sameer's shoulder.
Man: Assalamualaikum Maheshwari miya!
Sameer: Arrey! Kashan bhai! Aap yahan? Salaam!
Kashan: Bajaj sahab Abbu ke purane dost hai. Toh isliye hume yahan invite kiya tha.
Sameer: Accha hua jo hum yahan mil gaye! Arre Hania Bhabhi! Salaam!
Hania: Salaam Sameer bhai! Kaise hai?
Sameer: Main ekdum badhia hun.
Hania: Aap kiske ore se hai?
Sameer: Main! Ladkewalon ke ore se hun. Aur yeh meri wife hai. Naina!
(To Naina) Naina, yeh Kashan bhai hai. MBA mein mere senior the. Aur yeh inki wife hai. Hania Bhabhi.
Naina: Ji Namaste! Sorry! Salaam!
Hania: Koi baat nahi. Namaste ho ya Salaam ek hi baat hai.
Kashan: Yeh lo. Meher bhi aagayi.
Sameer turned to see another women wearing sharara just like Hania walking to them with a smile.
Hania: Ya Allah! Rehem. Kashan! Tumne isse yahan kyun bulaya hai. Ek jagah toh iske bina hum ja sakte hai na.
With this Hania left. Kashan gave a small smile to Samaina, and stretched his hand for the lady.
Kashan: Sameer! Inse milo. Yeh hai meri mangetar. Meher.
Aur Meher! Yeh hai Sameer aur inki begam Naina. Sameer MBA mein mere junior the.
Sameer and Naina gave a small smile and greeted Meher.
Naina: Amm, don't mind me asking. Aapki already ek wife hai, so yeh aapki mangetar. Kaise?
Sameer: Naina! Islaam inhe permit karta hai to have more than one wife. So.....
Kashan: Haan! Aur Meher meri dusri nikaah hogi. Mujhe pata hai aap log kya soch rahe honge. Aur Hania ke aisse chale jaane ke baad......Hania iss nikkah se khush nahi hai. Par I am sure she will come around. She has to.
Naina nodded, she didn't like the fact that this man was going to give the same rights to another woman as his existing wife. That too without the acceptance of his first wife. Sameer too felt the same. So he excused himself and Naina with the pretext of checking on some arrangements.
Naina: Meer. Ek sawaal hai. Aisse hi puch rahi hun. Koi dusra meaning nahi hai iska.
Sameer: Sameer ki jaan! Tum jitne chahe utne sawaal pucho. Main sawaal nahi karunga....
Naina: Kya aap bhi Kashan ji ke tarah karte!?
Sameer smiled and shook his head in no.
Sameer: Pehli wajah se yeh hai ki humara dharm iski izzazat nahi deta. Aur agar bhi deta toh bhi nahi karta. Aur agar majburi hoti koi toh main pehle tumse puchta. Tum agar raazi nahi ho toh kuch aur rasta dhundhunga. Kyunki main tumse pyaar karta hun Naina. Tumhari jagah jo meri zindagi mein hai, woh kisiki nahi ho sakti. Aur agar aissa situation hota jahan mujhe ek aur auraat ko apni zindagi ka hissa banane padta. Toh main tumse baat karta. Tumse puchta. Tumhe waqt deta. Tumhare Na se main bhi Na karta. Meri zindagi mein tumhari value sabse zyada hai. Tumhari hasi aur tumhare chehre ki raunak zyada important hai.
Aur sabse badi baat Naina. Tum meri biwi ho. Aur ek aadmi ki zindagi mein agar kisika darza, uske Maa Baap ke baad, sabse ucha hota hai, toh woh uski biwi ka hota hai. Biwi ko saare haq hote hai, unhe mangna nahi padta. Aur mere liye tum Papa, Mumma, aur Dadu ke neeche nahi, unke saath ho. So main kabhi bhi tumhare alawa kisi dusri auraat ke baare mein sochna toh dur, dekhunga bhi nahi. Meri life mein tum pehli aur akhiri ladki ho, jisne mere dil mein pyaar ke emotions paida kiye hai.
Naina: Aap itni intellectual baatein kar kaise lete hai? Kahin se course kiya hai kya aapne?
Sameer laughed a bit, and shook his head in disbelief.
Sameer: Tumne meri deep baat ka maahol hi chaupat kar diya! Kahan maine socha tha, tum overwhelm hoke mujhe gale laga logi. Aur kahan tumne maahol ki hawa nikal di.
Naina giggled, and wounded her arm around his. And looked straight into his eyes.
Naina: Ab se aissa hi hoga. Aap emotional aur intellectual baatein karke mujhe senti nahi kar sakte ab aur. Main aisse hi hawa nikalti rahungi. Tabhi toh life mein mazza aayega!
Aur aapko gale lagane ke liye mujhe overwhelm hone ki zaroorat hi nahi hai. Aap jab chahe tab mujhe gale laga sakte hai. Aur I hope ki its the other way around as well.
Sameer smiled at his wife, and wounded his arm around her shoulder, and nodded.
Sameer: Ab jab finally mujhe meri zindagi ki sabse badi khushi mili hai. Main kyun isse jaane dun. Mera bas chale toh tumhe apni bahoon se toh dur apni aankhon se bhi dur na hone dun.
Naina: Itna pyaar karte hai aap?
Sameer: Itna jitna koi soch bhi nahi sakega.
Naina: Meer, agar main kabhi aapse utna pyaar nahi kar payi toh?
Sameer: Toh kya? Toh kuch nahi. Mera pyaar hum dono ke hisse ko equal kar dega. Aur Naina! Yeh koi competition thodi hai jo hum compare karne baithe koun kitna pyaar karta hai.
Naina: Par...
Sameer: Naina! Kuch par war nahi. Hum dono ka pyaar ek dusre ke liye kaafi hai. Hai ki nahi?
Naina nodded her head like an obedient child.
Sameer: Bas! Tum ho toh mujhe kuch nahi chahiye. Bas tum hi chahiye ho.
Naina: Na jaane maine aissa koun sa accha kaam kiya hai jo aap mujhe mile. Agar pata lag gaya toh iss janam mein wapas woh karungi taki agle janam aap phir mujhe mile.
Sameer: Tumhe kuch karne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Main khud tumhare paas daud ke wapas aa jaunga. Jaise iss janam mein aaya.
Naina smiled and shook her head. She held his face and whispered I love you. Sameer gave a bright smile and kissed her forehead before replying her back.
Sameer: Chalo, Krisha ki entry aur varmala ka time ho raha hai.
Naina: Ji, aur maine bahut time se Pari ko dekha bhi nahi. Chalke usko bhi dhundhte hai.
Sameer: Pari apne V Dadu ke saath ghoom rahi hai. Dekho!
Sameer pointed towards Vivek who was carrying Pari in his arms, and talking to some men, near the stage where the varmala ceremony would commence.
Naina: Papaji Pari ko chodne ka naam tak nahi le rahe hai. Papaji ka yeh haal hai toh Dadaji ka kya hoga? Aur Kamlesh Uncle ka kya hoga?
Sameer: Woh toh Mumbai jaane se maloom padega.
Naina nodded, and walked towards the stage with Sameer. When Pari saw her Pretty chachi and Sameer Chachu, she wriggled out of her V Dadu's arm and ran to them.
Pari: Pretty chachi! Sameer chachu! Aap kahan the? Pari aapko search kar rahi thi!
Sameer: Aur hum humari Pari ko!
Naina: Aapne kuch khaya hai Betu?
Pari: Yes! V Dadu ne Pari ko panipuri aur paneer feed kiya tha.
Vivek: Sameer! Yeh toh panipuri khane mein teri Mumma ko takkar dene waalon mein se hai. Itni si bacchi 10 khatte panipuri kha gayi. Aur uss ladke ko bol rahi hai, Uncle aur khatta karo
Sameer and Naina laughed, and seeing them laugh, Pari too laughed. Four of them had some more small talks, when the entry music of Krisha started playing.
Krisha'a entry was magical, with flowers and fireworks. She looked magnificent in her golden and maroon wedding lehenga with the traditional marwari jewelery. Kairav was contrasting his bride by adorning a beige and dark gold sherwani. Both of them looked adorable and gorgeous together.
Krisha's entry reminded Sameer of Naina's entry on their wedding day.
The moment Naina had entered the wedding hall, everything had stopped moving for Sameer. The soft and soothing jingling noise of her payal had drawn his attention towards the entry to the walking epitome of grace and elegance. Naina looked mesmerizingly gorgeous in her wedding lehenga. Her lehenga was a combination of blood red and rose pink. Her skirt and blouse were blood red in color with intricate thread work of light pink, light green, golden, silver, light blue, and white threads and lots of stonework. The dupatta that was wrapped around her torso was light pink in color with thick embroidered border of the same pattern of the skirt with stones of silver and golden combination all over the body. The dupatta that was wrapped around her head was a simple blood red net dupatta with simple gotta pati work in the borders. Her makeup was simple, she wore a choker necklace with the paired earrings, a contrasting designed rani haar, and mangtika. Unlike other Indian brides, she didn't fill her wrists with lots of bangles. She had a medium girth of red and golden bangles with the kangans gifted by Vivek.
Sameer's heart kept skipping a beat with each step Naina descended towards him. He could feel his eyes tearing up, but he couldn't lift his hand to wipe them. Because he thought if he cleaned his eyes, this beautiful dream like reality will evade. He knew why Naina's eyes we're downcast and there was no excitement and lightness in her feet. But for that one moment he wanted to be selfish and be happy just for himself.
Sameer's reveries broke when Pari tugged his kurta. He looked at an inquisitive looking Pari, and raised his eyebrows.
Pari: Yeh Uncle aur Aunty ko ichy ichy nahi lag raha hai? Itna sparkly clothes pehna hai.
Sameer giggled and looked at Naina. Her face clearly showed that she too was drawn out of the same flashback as him. Her face had lines of guilt. And why would not she? She knowingly overlooked the excitement of Sameer, and didn't glance at him for once during the 5-6 hours they spent in the hall and the lawn of the banquet hall. Now she realised the fact that she doesn't remember what had happened within those hours. And why? Because she was busy crying for the useless theories that she nurtured in her head and was planning about when and how to run away for everything. The last thing about that day she remembers before zoning was the make-up artists coming in and starting with their work. And the next thing she remembers is that the Pandit Ji saying "Aaj se aap dono pati patni hai"
Sameer who could sense Naina's low mood, decided to answer Pari quickly and talk to Naina after the varmala is done.
Sameer: Beta, aaj Uncle aur Aunty ki wedding hai na. Toh bas, aaj ke liye inhe aisse kapde wear karne honge. Kal se normal aur comfortable kapde pehnenge.
Pari: Oh. Toh phir thik hai. Warna kitna ichy ichy ho jaata inke liye.
Sameer nodded, and looked at Naina again. She was still zoned out and he could understand that she was in the flashback. The varmala ceremony was fun filled as the groom side didn't let Krisha put the varmala around Kairav's neck and kept on raising him higher. Whereas due to the heavy lehenga, the bride side couldn't lift her but did pull her down so that Kairav kept missing. At last, finally both them were able to put the varmala around each other's neck, and the photo session began.
Taking the advantage of this, Sameer held Naina's wrist, and walked little bit away from the crowd.
Sameer: Naina! Jaan! Kahan kho gayi ho? Kis baare mein itna soch rahi ho?
Naina: Kairav bhaiya ke chehre ke chamak ko dekhke mujhe ehsaas hua Meer. Humari shaadi wali din aap utne hi excited honge. Utne hi khush honge. Aapko bhi mann hoga na ki aapki dulhan aapke taraf aate huye aapko dekhke sharma jaye, ya kuch second ke liye eye contact ho. Varmala aisse hi mazaak masti ke saath ho. Aur maine........maine sab kuch bigad diya. Main aapka excitement kaise nahi dekh payi! Kaise nahi samjh payi aapke emotions ko! Main apne khayalon mein itna kho gayi thi ki mujhe ek ladki ki life ka sabse important pal hi yaad nahi. Jab uska pati uski maang bharta hai sindoor se aur mangalsutra pehnake puri duniya ke saamne usse apna leta hai. Mujhe bilkul bhi woh pal yaad nahi. Mujhe yaad nahi ki pheron ke saath pandit ji ne kya waade padhe the. Mujhe bilkul yaad nahi ki mujhe dulhan ke jode mein dekh kar, aapki aankhein kaisi chamki thi. Mujhe humari shaadi hi yaad nahi hai Meer!
Listening to her, something did break in Sameer's heart. He had never thought that Naina's strong resolve of leaving him for his apparent well-being and the absurd theories planted in her head, would have clouded her mind to such extent. Yes, he did expect her to look at him for once, but she didn't. But that was okay, as he knew what was going on. Though not everything but something. Yes, he had to kill his wish to have the playful varmala ceremony, and the witty and fun response of his wife when his shoes were stolen. Yes, he had to keep his excitement and happiness in check seeing her lost. But he was always in an illusion that, in their memories, their wedding day would be way different from each other's. But he never thought that the wedding day would only be in his memories.
Composing himself, Sameer cleared his throat and once again, masked his hurt. Just like their wedding day. Yes it's wrong to do that. But he can't make his wife feel more guilty than she is already.
Sameer: Naina! Uss waqt halat hi kuch aisse the ki.......
Naina: Nahi! Halat chahe jaise bhi ho. Main itni ghum kaise thi ki......Main aap ki kitni badi gunhegaar hun. Aapko humari shaadi ki har ek pal yaad hai. Aur mujhe......Aapne itni jaldi maaf kyun kar diya mujhe!
Sameer: Naina! Jo hona tha so hogaya! Ab purani baaton mein kuch nahi rakha. Hum aage badh chuke hai, humara rishta sahi jagah pe hai, aur sahi pace mein progress kar raha hai. Ab peeche mudne se bas kadwi yaadein yaad aayengi.
Naina: Par sach toh yahi hai na Meer, maine aapke saath aapki khushi nahi banti. Aapko ignore kiya tha. Aapki fiancee ne aapko ignore kiya tha. Ek nahi har function mein. Aur jo bhi baatcheet huyi, woh jabardasti thi. Aapko bura laga hoga.
It's okay. Ab iss baat pe koi aur discussion nahi hoga. Tum bhul jao ki tumne mujhe kabhi hurt kiya tha. Tumne shaadi wala din yaad nahi. Thik hai! Hum usse recreate karenge. Humari first month wedding anniversary pe. I promise. Ab purani baaton ko sanduk mein bandho, aur dur phenk do.
Naina's eyes moistened once again, and all she wanted was to just get invisible. They have been married for more than 10 days, and she now realised that she has no glimpses of the big day of her life in her memories. Maybe that's why her heart always asks Sameer to fill her hairline with sindoor. Sameer couldn't see tears in her eyes, so he wiped her rolling tears, and hugged her as tight as possible. He mumbled sweet nothings in her ear to calm her down, and gave innumerous kisses on her head and temple. Finally when Naina was not sobbing, he wiped her eyes with the handkerchief in his pocket, and weaved his fingers through her hair, to set her hair.
Abhimanyu: Aap dono ko hi dhundh raha tha! Kahan chale gaye the?
Sameer: Mera ek important call aagaya tha, so main usse attend kar raha tha aur Naina mujhe bulane aagayi thi.
Akshara: Aap dono hi bache ho. Pictures click kar lijiye. Phir dinner karke shaadi ki main rasmein shuru karni hai.
Samaina nodded, and went up to the stage and posed with the bride and groom. Naina stood next to Krisha, and Sameer stood next to Kairav. After they were done, Pari and Vivek also joined, and they had a family picture with the bride and groom.
After the photo sessions were done, everyone proceeded towards the food area, to have dinner. Naina and Vivek went to get the plates for their kids and themselves. Naina was feeding Pari, and Vivek was feeding Sameer. Two to three ladies saw this, and found the scene cute.
Lady 1: Aap chaaron bilkul picture perfect family jaise lag rahe hai. Aur aapki beti! She is very cute!
Pari: Pretty Chachi! Inn aunty ne mujhe cute bola!
Sameer: Haan! Kyunki humari Betu cute hi toh hai. Ek dum Barbie jaisi!
Naina: Yes! Apni Pretty Chachi aur Sameer Chachu ki Barbie doll.
Lady 2: Chachi? Chachu? Yeh aapki beti nahi hai?
Vivek: Ji nahi. Yeh mere bhatije ki beti hai. Par yeh mera hi beta hai aur yeh meri bahu.
Lady 1: Aap teeno ek family hi lag rahe the. Mummy Papa aur unki pyaari si gudiya.
Sameer: Mere bhai ki beti bhi toh meri hi beti huyi na Ma'am.
Lady 2: That's true. I hope aapki family ki yeh peace aur happiness kabhi gayab na ho. Humesha barakaraar rahe.
Sameer, Vivek, and Naina smiled at the lady, and seeing the elders smile, Pari too gave a toothy smile to the kind Aunty who called her cute.
Naina: Main roti aur thodi si sabji leke aati hun. Pari! Betu aap bhi chalo. Dekhna aapko aur kya khana hai, leke aayenge.
Pari nodded and went with her Chachi, holding her hand tightly.
Vivek: Sameer! Mujhe nahi pata tune kya jaadu chalaya hai. Par jo bhi kiya hai, main khush hun uss se. Maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki Naina itni jaldi ghul mil jayegi.
Sameer: Socha maine bhi nahi tha Papa. Mujhe laga tha ki 3-4 mahine lagenge. Par baat 12 din mein bann gayi. Though thodi aur progress baaki hai. Par jitni hai, utni bahut hai.
Vivek: Mere bacche ka ghar bas gaya. Pata nahi Krishan ji mere dusre bacche ka ghar kab basayenge?
Sameer: Kya aapko bhi darr lag raha hai?
Vivek: Baat agar sirf Devang ki hoti toh shayad itna darr nahi lagta. Par ab ek choti bacchi bhi shamil hai. Poonam par jo biti hai, woh humne bas dekha hai. Mehsoos uss bacchi ne kiya hai. Ab achanak se agar Devang uske saamne aata hai aur sach batata hai. Toh na jaane kya hoga? Prabha aur Kamlesh ji ka kya reaction hoga, Vishakha kya karegi, Poonam kya decision legi, kuch clear nahi hai. Aur main nahi chahta ki inn sab mein Pari par kuch galat asar ho.
Sameer: Chahta toh main bhi nahi. Isiliye maine kuch socha hai Papa. Maine aur Naina ne khud se aur Pari se waada kiya hai Papa, chahe kuch bhi ho jaaye, hum dono uska haath kabhi nahi chodenge. Chahe uske liye mujhe kuch bhi karna pade.
Vivek: Saath mein bhi nahi chodunga Beta. Par baat yahan rishton ki hai Sameer. Aur rishton ki dor kaafi nazuk hoti hai. Yeh tu bhi janta hai. Bas Krishan ji se pray kar ki, sab kuch jald hi sahi ho jaaye.
Sameer: Unhe sahi karna hi hoga. Woh itni choti bacchi ke saath annyay nahi kar sakte.
Pari: V Dadu! Aapko pata hai! Uss side mein ek aur chat hai. Kuch bowl jaisa hai. Uss par curd, green aur red color ki water bhi dala hai unn uncle ne. Chalo na khate hai. Aapko khatti food acchi lagti hai na!
Vivek: Arre meri gudiya, pehle roti aur sabji finish karo. Phir chat khayenge!
Naina: Haan betu! Dekho aapko ek aur roti khani hai. Aur aapka favorite mushroom bhi hai. Phir hum chat khayenge.
Pari: Aur Ice cream? Woh Pari nahi khayegi?
Sameer: Kyun nahi khayegi? Zaroor khayegi! Par pehle aap apni roti aur mushroom finish karo.
Pari like an obedient student nodded her head, and quickly finished her dinner. She held Vivek's hand and ran towards the Chat counter to have the interesting looking chat. Samaina chuckled seeing both of them, and resumed their dinner. Post their dinner, the four of them had ice cream, and after which Devang's call came that he has sent his acquaintance whom Pari knows to pick her up. As he is busy with the movers and packers.
Sameer: Pari! Princess, kal morning mein main, aapki Chachi aur aapke V Dadu aapke home aayenge. Phir hum sab chalenge Jaipur. Wahan se Mumbai. Humare home!
Pari: Okay Sameer Chachu! Goodnight! I love you!
Samaina and Vivek: I love you too. Goodnight.
Sameer clicked the picture of the number plate of the car, and switched on the location tracker of the smartwatch Pari was wearing. Devang had given Pari that watch to have a check on her, whenever she is away from him.
Vivek: Sameer! Beta Pari chali gayi hai, toh jaake baith ja. Thakk jayega nahi toh. Dawaiyan bhi chal rahi hai teri. Puri shaadi bhi dekhna hai na tujhe.
Sameer: Oh ho Papa! Main bilkul thik hun. Aur mujhe ek jagah par baitha nahi jayega. So I am sorry. Main nahi baithne wala.
Naina: Haan Papaji. Aur mobility rahegi tabhi toh inke pair ka baaki ka dard gayab hoga.
Vivek: Amm, baat toh sahi hai. Par Sameer! Tujhe kabhi thakkan lage na Beta, toh kahin par baith jaana. Aaram kar lena Beta.
Naina: Papaji! Aap bilkul tension maat lijiye. Main hun inke aas paas. Aur aap bhi hai na. Inke chehre ko aapse behtar koun padh sakega. Na aaram kare yeh, toh inke kaan khinchkar inhe baitha dena.
Vivek: Dekh Sameer! Ab meri bahu ne permission de di hai. Main koi kanjoosi nahi karunga tere kaan khinchne mein.
Sameer: Haan haan khinch lijiyega. Ab chaliye andar. Mr. Bajaj aapko dhundh rahe honge, kisi naye business associate se milane.
Vivek: Haan yaar. Kitne businessman hai yahan! Itne businessman Mumbai ke kisi businessman ke pure family mein nahi hote jitne inki shaadi mein guests hai.
Sameer: Honge hi, after all Maheshwari Jewellers and Fashions ke Chairperson jo aaye hai. Hum tuche MD & CEO aur Mrs. CEO & MD ko koun puchega. Nahi Naina?
Naina giggled, and Sameer too giggled. Vivek puffed his cheeks and wirh annoyance looked at his kids giggling at his state.
Vivek: Has lo has lo! Baap ko pareshaan dekhkar has lo. Main bhi badla lunga!
Sameer: Tab ki tab dekhenge. Filhal, baari humari hai, comedy film dekhne ka. Naina, chalo.....
Sameer wrapped his arm around her shoulder, and walked inside. Both of them had seen Krisha's father coming towards them with another man, whom they had thought to be another person would be introduced to their father. Giggling at this, both of them left and decided to see what's happening in the groom's side.
Akshara: Vansh Bhaiya! Ek aissi jagah dhundhiye jahan Krisha ke cousins ko Bhaiya ke joote mil hi na paaye.
Vansh: Par aissi jagah milegi kahan? Krisha bhabhi ki sabse choti cousin mujhe kahin jaane hi nahi de rahi hai. Main paani peene gaya tha, wahan tak aagayi. Ab uss choti si bacchi se kya kahun.
Naina: Akshu!
Neil: Superb idea!
Akshara: Par kisiko shaq nahi hoga? Main waisi baithi rahungi agar pure shaadi mein....
Abhimanyu: Uski chinta mujh par chod do. Main bol dunga ki tum Ms. Girija ho. Kahin na kahin, kaise na kaise giri padti rehti ho. Toh isliye maine tumne kursi se chipka diya hai.
Naina: Excellent! Phir tujhe koi puchega nahi tu kyun nahi ghum phir rahi hai.
Shefali: Waise Naina! Yeh idea tumhe aaya kahan se?
Aarohi: Zaroor Preeti aur Pralay bhaiya ne kiya hoga aissa inki shaadi mein. Hai na Naina?
Naina's smile faded with the mention of their wedding. She doesn't remember the saat vachan, and sindoordan. How would she remember the joota churai rasam? At that moment, Sameer too got a little upset. But he couldn't change anything, could he? So he decided to divert the topic.
Sameer: Kairav aur Krisha ki shaadi ke baaki rasmein shuru hone wali hai. Vansh! Neil! Bina kisi ke notice mein aays, jaake joote le aao. Aur Aarohi! Shefali ji, Parth ji, Abhimanyu! Aap log jaake Krisha ki cousins ko busy rakho. Main aur Naina yahan Akshara ko cover denge.
Everyone dispersed, and Sameer jerked Naina out of her guilt trip. Sameer shook his head in denial, and signalled her to not to think about the past. Naina gave a half smile, and nodded her head. But only she knew, how heartbreaking it was for her, to realise her husband's pain and to remind herself that she herself was the cause of it. This exchange and Naina's sudden face color change wasn't left unnoticed by Akshara. She knew about Naina's thought process about marriage and relationships before both of them were married, and she was very happy seeing Naina visibly happy with Sameer. But she also knew that something was there which is disturbing Naina.
Akshara: Sameer! If you don't mind kya aap Abhi ko yeh mera phone deke aa jayenge. Lehenga sambhalun ya phone? Ismein toh pockets bhi nahi hote na.
Sameer smiled and agreed. When he left, Akshara pulled Naina, and made Naina sit beside her.
Akshara: Ab bata! Kya baat hai? Tu yun khoyi huyi si kyun hai?
Naina looked her best friend with glossy eyes, and told her everything. Akshara wasn't that surprised to hear that Naina was zoned out during her own wedding. But she did feel bad for Sameer. It wasn't his fault that his bride had some past baggage regarding new relationships. But it wasn't suppose to be his primary duty to deal with her emotional baggage with such depth.
Akshara: Jaisa Sameer ne kaha tha, pichla badla nahi ja sakta. Par aage ka sawara ja sakta hai na. Toh kya hua agar tujhe woh wali shaadi aur vachan yaad nahi hai. Tu aaj wapas woh vachan le sakti hai.
Naina: Kya matlab?
Akshara: Mimi bata rahi thi ki aaj ka muhurat bahut shubh hai. Jin jodon ki aaj shaadi ho rahi hai, unko Mahadev aur Mata Parvati ka ashirwad milega aur unki shaadi bhi unn dono ki tarah safal hogi. Toh tu aur Sameer aaj wapas phere le lo aur tu apni aur unki yaadon mein apne saat phere jo dono ki marzi se honge, jod do.
Naina: Par aisse kaise......
Akshara: Tujhe mandap par chadne nahi bol rahi hun. Iss hotel mein ek kamra hai apna. Emergency ke liye book kiya hai. Wahan jao tum dono, secret mein phere le lo. Internet pe mantra mil jayenge. Aur aag......amm.......candles honge wahan. Jalake uske chaaron taraf phere le lena.
Naina: Koi hume dhundhega nahi?
Akshara: Nahi! Koi nahi dhundhega. Tum log puja shuru hote hi nikal lena. Aur aaram se wapas aana. Mujhe pata hai Sameer bata nahi rahe hai, par jaan kar unhe bhi dukh hua hoga ki tujhe tum dono ki shaadi ka din yaad nahi. Toh aaj unke iss dukh ko bhi dur kar dena. Jaisa unhone tere saare dukh dur kiye hai.
Naina! Jo kaam shayad kisi dusre ko 4-5 mahine lag jaate karne ke liye , uss kaam ko unhone bas do hafte mein kar diya. Issi se sabit hota hai ki iss duniya mein Rakesh Uncle ke baad tujhe sirf Sameer hi apni jaan se zyada pyaar karte hai. Toh unki iss pyaar ki kadar karna hai tujhe. Mujhe pata hai ki things are going really fast for you, but tum dono ki shaadi ki shuruaat kisi normal couple ki tarah huyi hi nahi thi na. Toh pace kaise normal hoga? Aur har rishte ka apna alag pace hota hai which can't be compared with anybody else's relation.
Naina: Baat toh sahi kar rahi hai tu. Maine already apni bewakoofi mein 6 mahine gawaah diye hai. Ab aur nahi. Shaadi ke rasmein shuru hote, main Meer ko leke chali jaungi. Par room number?
Akshara: Block B, 4th floor, 1408.
Naina: Thik hai. Thank you yaar! Tu na hoti toh pata nahi kya hota.
Akshara: Kuch nahi hota!
Naina smiled and hugged her best friend. Akshara chuckled and patted her back. Sameer returned the moment both of them got detached from each other. He smiled and sat next to Naina.
After 10-15 minutes, the ritual started, and also, Vansh and Neil came with a wide grin and kept the shoes in front of Akshara.
Neil: Bhabhi! Aapki heels mein room mein rakh aata hun. Dijiye.
Naina thought of using this opportunity, and nudged Akshara to give her the message that she will be leaving now. Akshara blinked her eyes to acknowledge.
Naina: Neil! Main rakh dungi. Mujhe washroom jaana hai. Toh main room ka washroom use karke isse rakh aaungi.
Neil: Thik hai.
Naina stood up with confidence that Sameer would follow her, and as expected the moment she took the first step away from the chair, Sameer called her name.
Sameer: Naina, main aata hun tumhare saath.
Naina: Par.....thik hai. Aayiye.
Naina was doing happy dance in her mind, seeing her plan getting executed successfully. She looked back at Akshara, who smiled at her and mouthed an all the best and congratulations. Sameer had noticed Naina's sudden uplifted mood but didn't think much about it.
Sameer: Jao, washroom use kar lo. Main tab tak Akshara ke heels cupboard mein rakh deta hun.
Naina: Woh.....woh....mujhe washroom nahi jaana hai.
Sameer: Kya? Par tumne neeche kaha tha na....
Naina: Haan, maine jhooth bola tha. Mujhe actually aapko yahan iss room mein lana tha.
Sameer: Kyun? Neeche Kairav aur Krisha ki shaadi ki rasmein chal rahi hai. Tum yahan......kisi ne kuch kaha hai tumhe? Kisi ne badtameezi ki? Mrs. Birla ne kuch kahan?
Naina: Kisi ne kuch nahi kaha hai. Mujhe aapse kuch baat karni hai infact kuch mangna hai. Isliye aapko yahan leke aayi.
Sameer: Hmm, toh meri biwi ji ko mujhse kuch demands chahiye. Fine. Bataiye, kya maange hai aapki?
Naina: Amm, aap pehle aankhein bandh kijiye. Phir batati hun.
Sameer: Arre, demand puri karwane ke liye koun aankhein bandha karata hai?
Naina: Aapki biwi! Kijiye na!
Sameer: Accha baba thik hai. Karta hun.
The moment Sameer closed his eyes, Naina searched for something. Her eyes fell on an aluminium foil packet, and she immediately cut a small piece of it, and started rolling it thin using her palm and fingers.
Sameer: Naina! Aankhein kholun kya? Aur itna time kyun lag raha hai tumhe kuch mangne ko?
Naina: Sabr rakhiye Meer. Bas do minute aur.
She finally was able to roll the foil thin, and bent it to form a circle. Taking a deep breath and giving herself a final look, Naina stood in front of her husband.
Naina: Ab aankhein kholiye.
When Sameer's eyes opened, he found his wife on her left knee, looking at him with love filled eyes. He gasped and held her shoulders to make her stand but Naina didn't let him do it.
Sameer: Nai.....
Naina: Ssshh! Mujhe bolne dijiye.
Befizul ki baaton ko lekar maine humari life ke woh keemti che mahine barbaad kar diye. Aapne kabhi bola nahi, par mujhe maloom hai aapne kitni muskil se apne aap ko roka hoga mujhse baat karne ko, mere liye kuch special karne ko. Kitni baar aapka haath mujhe message ya call karne ke liye aapke phone ko uthate uthate reh gaya hoga, kitni baar aap chahte huye bhi mere karib nahi baith paaye honge, mujhe ghumane nahi le paaye. Humare paas che mahine the ek dusre ko janne ke liye, itne time mein log ek dusre ke baare mein sab kuch jaan lete hai, aur toh aur pyaar bhi ho jaata hai. Par meri wajah se hume inn che mahino mein bas ek dusre naam aur parivaar mein koun hai itna pata chala. Aur jo bhi thodi bahut pasand napasand ka pata laga hai, woh parivaar walon ke wajah se pata laga tha woh bhi baaton baaton mein. Har ladki ka sapna hota hai ki uski shaadi dhoom dhaam se ho. Mera sapna bhi tha, par jab woh sach ho raha tha, tab main usse enjoy karne ke mindset mein nahi thi. Maine aapke saath bahut galat kiya hai Meer. And I am really sorry for that. Mujhe pata hai sorry kehne se woh sab sahi nahi hoga.
Main aapse waada karti hun ab aur galat nahi karungi aapke saath. Ab na mere mann mein woh befizul ki baatein hai, na hi naye rishton ko leke insecurities hai, aur na hi main ab aapke aur mere jazbaaton ko nazarandaaz karne wali hun. Humare rishte, pyaar aur humari shaadi ko ab tak aap sambhalte aa rahe the, par ab se main bhi sambhalungi. Hum dono milke humari shaadi, humare parivaar, humare rishte, aur humare pyaar ko sambhalenge.
Meer! Aaj maine jo aapko dard diya hai, main chahti hun ki aap uss dard ko bhul jaaye. Aur kaise bhulenge uska raasta hai mere paas. Mujhe aisse ghutne par dekhkar shayad aapko andaza hogaya hoga. Par phir, main apne muh se woh bolna chahti hun.
Meer! I love you! Will you marry me, again? Yahin par. Iss kamre mein, shaadi ke woh saat vachan aur phere dauharake apni yaadon mein iss rasm ko bhi pyaar bhare rang se rang de.
She picked up the aluminium foil ring that she made, and showed it to him. He chuckled, and signed her to slip it in his finger before he started speaking to her. But before that, he made her stand and sit on the chair nearer to them.
Sameer: I would love to remarry you. Be it anywhere. Aur.....
Naina: Nahi! Abhi nahi. Sorry par humare paas waqt bahut kam hai. Kya hum, wapas ghar I mean Goenka House jaake baat kare.
Sameer smiled and nodded. He knew the conversation that he would have initiated now, could take a lot of time, and this wasn't the right time.
Naina: Aap internet pe mantra dhundho, aur main candles jalake, agni kunda jaise kuch ka intezaam karti hun.
Sameer: Naina! Sindoor? Mangalsutra toh hai tumhare paas.
Naina: Amm, rukiye dekhti hun. Saaman mein agar hoga toh use kar lenge.
Naina gathered a small bowl, and few tea light candles, filling the bowl with water, she let candles float on top of it, and lit them one by one. Luckily she found a small sachet of rooli sindoor. Sameer had found the seven vows, and kept it on queue to be played.
Naina: Hmm! Ready!?
Sameer nodded with a smile, and Naina tied her saree's pallu with Sameer's kurta. For covering her head, Sameer got a small piece of cloth that was kept aside, and wrapped it around her head. He played the video, and both of them proceeded along with it.
Naina: Amm, Meer. Ek cheez ab bhi baaki hai?
Sameer: Kya?
Naina: Varmala! Woh kahan se laaye?
Sameer: Hmm, baat toh sahi hai......Accha varmala nahi hai toh kya hua. Baahon ka haar toh hai!
Naina: Kya? Kya bol rahe hai?
Sameer: Matlab.....
He lifted her arms, and put them around his neck. And he also put his left arm around her neck, and rested his right arm on the crook of her neck, and joined his palms.
Sameer: Ban gaya na! Baahon ka haar. Humare liye yahin hai na woh mala jo hume jode rakhega.
Naina chuckled and nodded her head. Post the baahon ka haar wala varmala, they proceeded for the phere. With every mantra, both of them promised each other the vows being recited. Finally the seven vows were done, and now the time was to put the sindoor and tie the mangalsutra.
Sameer: Naina mera right haath fracture hai. Main kaise.....
Naina: Amm, accha aissa karte hai. Aap dayene haath ko bas mere haath ke upar halka sa rakh dijiye. Main khud sindoor aur mangalsutra pehen lungi.
Sameer: You sure?
Naina: Haan Meer! Waise bhi humne shaadi ki saari vidhi toh nahi maani na. Direct varmala aur phere kiye. Beech mein kitna kuch hota hai na. Toh yeh bhi....aisse hi kar lete hai na.
Sameer: Thik hai. Tumhe thik lag raha hai toh....
As Naina suggested, Sameer just touched Naina's hand when she wore her mangalsutra and filled her hairline with little amount of sindoor, as she already was having sindoor. After it was done, Naina bent to touch Sameer's feet, but he didn't allow her. And hugged her instead.
Sameer: Naina! Let's click some pictures. Humari secretive shaadi ki.
Naina giggled and took his phone, and they clicked lots of selfies. Some were with Sameer standing behind her, with his arm around her waist, and head on top of her, some with his head beside her head, some with his cheek resting on her temple, some with his head in the crook of her neck, some with Naina leaning on him and him keeping his chin on her head, some with Naina hugging him from front and looking at his left side for the picture, and lots of pictures with few other permutation combinations.
Just like this, now both Sameer and Naina had memories of their wedding with both of them having the same amount of love, dedication, respect, and value for their relationship. Now their relationship had both of them at equal position. Neither Sameer was with more rights nor Naina with more rights.
Marriage is a bond where both husband and wife is equal, and they have to make sure that till the final day of their relationship, the balance between both of them remains the same. It's a 50-50 partnership, which when time comes can be a 60-40 or 70-30, for a short period of time. Now onwards, both of them have equal responsibilities towards each other and their family.
