Chapter 3
Desmond's POV
While Ezio and Altaïr messed with their hidden blades and Connor and Edward sat on the floor and talk quietly, I step out of the room with Shaun and Lucy.
"What are we going to do? They're 500 years from their own time!" I say.
"Well, we don't know how to get them back yet. And, we probably won't know for a while," Lucy sighs, crossing her arms.
"They look like high schoolers..." Shaun says, looking at me. I stare back at him.
"You are not thinking what I think you're thinking..."
"What do you propose we do?! Keep them in the office until we figure out how to get them back!?" Shaun says back.
I sigh angrily and look at the ceiling.
"No. But..."
"But what?"
"How are they going to... fit in?" I ask. Shaun shrugs.
"We can get them some regular clothes."
"What are you guys talking about?" Lucy demands.
"We're taking the Assassins to high school with me," I say.
"I guess that's our only option," she sighs.
"So what now? We go tell them?" I ask.
"Yes. You go tell them," Shaun says, nudging me towards the door.
"What!? Me?!" I exclaim.
"They are YOUR ancestors," Lucy says.
She opens the door and Shaun shoves me through. All the assassins look at me and I shuffle my feet.
"Um... we discussed some stuff while back there, and we came to the conclusion that if you guys are going to be in our time, you're going to have to go to high school with me so you fit in," I say.
The assassins stay quiet for a moment before Altaïr speaks up.
"Fine. We will try out your school thing."
"Perfect. We start in two days," I say.
"Why two days?" I hear Shaun mutter from behind the door.
"Because we need some time to prepare them," Lucy mutters back.
Two days is not enough to prepare them for high school.
Not even close.
