Mabel:

As Bill and I walked back to the cabin, we saw the others had began a game of horseshoes. How they got the stuff for it, I wasn't sure.

Bill went to join them, as I stepped inside to get something to drink. I paused as I heard voices coming from the room Billina slept in.

"I think you're over reacting." A deep throaty voice I'd never heard before said.

" I'm over reacting?" The familiar high pitched voice of Proditione snapped back.

Slowly, as to not make a sound, I stepped down the hallway, to the door.

"It's not that big of a problem!" The other voice shot back.

"You could have been attacked!" Proditione shot back, as I pressed my ear against the door.

"If I had i would have been fine!" The deep voice growled, "You know that. So why are you so upset."

"Because I love you!" Proditione yelled

There was nothing but silence on the other side of the door. That was fine, because I needed to process the words that had just left Proditione's mouth.

Just as I thought it couldn't get weirder, the other voice replied quietly, "I love you too."

Then foot steps. They were walking towards the door.

Turning, I ran down the hall as fast as I could. However it wasn't fast enough because behind me I heard a soft, "Mabel!"

Slowly I turned to see Proditione and Mira standing in the door way.

The former with a shocked expression, the latter with an angry one.

Mira pulled out her sword, and began to walk towards me, when Proditione yelled, "Wait!" Mira turned her head, and glared at home as he asked me, "How much did you hear?"

I answered, and the two shared a look. Finally Proditione sighed, "I suppose we should explain."

He stepped forward and stood next to Mira, as she was at least two feet taller than him, it may have looked rather comical, had I been confused out of my mind.

"Mira and I are married." Proditione said, as if that didn't raise a millions more questions.

"Your married?" I gasped, raising my eyebrows.

Mira nodded as Proditione continued, "Yea, we haven't been for very long, 100 years give or take," he said it so offhandedly, it took me aback that 100 years wouldn't count as a long time, "thing is, we don't want people knowing."

I furrowed my eyebrows, "Why?"

"Because Warriors of Darkness aren't really known for being in relationships." Mira snapped, looking at me as if I were a cockroach.

I'd heard her speak from behind the door, but hearing her speak to me, her deep cold voice ran chills down my spine.

"W-Warriors of Darkness?" I asked, "What are those?" I asked, pushing through the uncomfortable Mira's voice had caused me.

"What Mira is." Proditione explained, "They're like the army on her planet. It's a big honor to her people, but they look down on romantic relationships, so we don't talk about it in public."

"So you guys are breaking the law?" I asked looking back and forth at them.

For a split second, Mira seemed to tense up, but only said, "No."

"They look down on it," Proditione explained, "But they don't prohibit it."

"Mabel?" I heard Bills voice from the front door. He must have felt my anxiety, and come to check on me.

"You can't tell him!" Proditione pleaded.

For whatever reason, I nodded, then turned around, "I'm here!" I called back to Bill, "Don't worry, I'm fine."

A/N: Sooooo that was a short chapter. Sorry bout that. But it was just going to be a time skip anyway, and I've got something BIG planned for that time skip, something I've been exited to write about for about two weeks, and I didn't want the chapter to be too long, so, it's a short chapter. Oh well. Don't hate me.
