One night, a boy was sleeping, he was having a horrible nightmare, in it, he heard the desperation of scratching nails, a loud ringing soared through his mind like a headache. It was a mess, and he could only see darkness, but the loudest sound of all, was the scream of a girl, it was shrilled and painful.

This was normal, but he could never get used to it. He went to therapy sessions, talked with his twin sister, there were of no use at all. Nothing worked, however hard he tried. He knew it was some kind of sign, it was the key to a memory he never got ahold of. He wanted answers, and why those memories hurt him so much, but they never told him anything.

One would think a 19-year-old boy knew what was happening in his life and be very clear with everything that happened. Of course he was, the boy was actually an amazing businessperson, and ran a great business, he had nothing to worry about in his whole life, and all the money in the world one would ever want, but the only thing he wanted the most, money couldn't buy. And it pained him, to have blurred memories of his 17th year of life, and no one ever letting him know what happened. It truly changed him, and he wasn't sure why.

Instead of going back to sleep, he heard a soft voice, asking for him to go outside. It kept going on, forever and ever, like it never stopped. It was begging, and pleading, and if the man wasn't any nicer, he might have just ignored it, but he couldn't.

'Come out, come out, come be with me. Stay, please, I'm begging you.' The voice pleaded over and over again.

There was a familiarity to the voice, and the man wondered if the owner of this voice knew anything of his blurry past. Everyone said he wasn't crazy, he was just pained from the past.

The boy ran outside his large mansion, following the voice, gradually getting louder. And it led him to a small clearing in the middle of the woods. A small breeze gave way, ushering him to sit on a fallen oak tree.

'Do you remember?' The voice returned, it echoed through the woods, but it was soft, not one of bad intentions.

'What do I have to remember? And who are you?' The man asked, confusedly.

'You do not remember me?' The voice now sounded hurt, and quite offended.

'No, show me who you are.'

A young girl appeared behind a tree. Her skin was fair, and her brown eyes, reminding the man of nature, subtle, but beautiful, and her hair, it was golden and glowing.

The girl wept, 'Do you still not remember?'

'Sorry but I don't recall knowing you.' The man said blandly, looking at the girl as she approached him.

'How?' Her tears ran down faster and the girl held the man's hands, kneeling down to force him to look into her eyes.

'Are you a ghost?'

'Yes, but do you truly not remember me? Dipper?' The girl asked again and again The girl's features were captivating, any onlooker would be instantly attracted by her beauty, Dipper was so lost in the way she looked at him.

As Dipper looked into her eyes, full of sorrow and sadness. The familiarity in her voice, his instincts did not lie to him, even if his mind did. It was like some hole, you could fall in deep and never know when you'd come out.

And he did fall, deep.

It was all going well that night.

'Shouldn't you have come back from the show a while ago? Your sister is already here.' A blonde girl, who looked to the ghost, spoke into the phone, she was lying on a dark blue sofa. She was accompanied by a brunette who wore a blue headband with some amulet or pendant stuck on top. The brunette watched the blonde's face intently as the blonde spoke into the phone.

'That looks like my sister, Mabel. And this looks like her room.' Dipper said, standing in the corner of the room, going unnoticed with the ghost who stood with him. 'I know because she is. And that girl,' The ghost pointed her slim finger at the blonde, who was now twirling strands of hair around her fingers, smiling at herself like a crazy girl. 'that's me.' As the ghost said that, she was choking back tears, and some slid down her fair face.

'Wait a minute, why is she calling me a di-'

'Stop talking and watch.'

'Oh?' The blonde's expression dropped, and the brunette stared at her, confused at what the blonde was hearing at her end of the phone. The brunette furrowed her brows, 'Alright then, I'll see you later then?' The blonde's lips pursed, 'Bye.' The blonde took the phone off her ear and ended the call.

'I'm sorry my brother is being such a dick.' The brunette said, seeming even more bothered than the blonde was.

'It's fine, it's just how he is.' The blonde put her feet on the ground and sat up straight.

'Don't be such a pushover.' The brunette laid on her stomach, lifting her chin with two hands and her elbows down on the sofa. 'Hey, don't insult me if I don't let you insult your brother.' The blonde softly punched the brunette's shoulder.

'Who are you?' Dipper asked, now looking at the ghost, but the ghost was only looking onwards at what was going on. 'How do you know me?'

'Did you guys get into a fight again.'

'It was ONCE! It's not again! And it was over some petty fight with Cody, you know how big of a temper both YOU and him have.' The blonde started to smile and it turned into a laugh.

'Cody? That black-haired guy I get this hot hatred for no reason? What about him?' Dipper was slowly getting more interested in this story.

'Oh! What's that about not insulting you and my brother again, huh?' The brunette picked up a nearby pillow and whacked the blonde with it. The blonde gasped and her mouth turned into a big 'O', she picked it up and threw it back at the brunette.

'What's so special about this scene? Why am I here?' Dipper folded his arms and leaned on the wall. 'Just watch, blink for too long and you'll miss it.' The ghost said, the first time she had spoken with no feeling.

'Tell me then, me or my brother. If we both got thrown in the sea, who'd you save?' The brunette shouted and caught the pillow in her hands, then got up on the sofa.

'I don't remember my sister being so playful.' Dipper peered at the brunette, asserting her dominance on the blonde.

'None of you two, you have magic you two crazy suckers!' The blonde ran up to the sofa and climbed up on it too.

'That was a good one though! You have to admit it! A trick question!' The brunette swept her long hair behind her shoulder.

'Do some other people!' The blonde pointed at the other girl, plopping down on her seat.

'Hmmm...' The brunette tapped her chin, her eyes widening as she got ahold of a very good question. 'Cody or my brother.'

'PLE-EASE!' The blonde exclaimed loudly, 'Is it not pretty obvious what I'll say?'

'Say it then, I wanna hear you say it again, it's so cheesy but I love it.' The brunette also sat down and rested her head on the blonde's lap.

'Fine, God forbid me saying this in front of your brother.' The blonde gave a cough and like a speech she memorised in her head, she spoke. 'I'd choose your brother over any person in the world because I just really like him. Even if it means following him to the ends of the earth, I'll do it.' The blonde pointed to herself and gave a sure nod. 'And till the day I die, I'd still hope to meet him in another lif- Jokes and all, Mabel you know I like him, and you do know even with all these small arguments we have, my feelings don't change.'

'Yes, of course, I know Pacifica, or should I say, Pazzie.'

'Pazzie?' Dipper glanced towards the ghost, standing with her hands together, who was too busy watching the two girls.

The girls exploded in a fit of laughter. 'You know Pacifica, however hard I try to say it, it never rolls off my tongue as well as when my brother does it.' The brunette laughed, holding her stomach.

'It's 'cause you aren't Dipper you loser!' The blonde giggled.

'I don't even know if my brother is lucky to have you or you're lucky to have my brother.' The brunette put a hand on the blonde's shoulder.

'Pretty sure it's the first one.' The blonde replied with a genuine smile.

Suddenly the floorboards shook and something broke through, and then everything was in slow motion. 'What's going on?' Dipper shouted at the ghost. 'How many times do I have to tell you to just watch?' The ghost backed away and dissolved, leaving Dipper alone in the room while everything in the room started to shake or drop.

The two girls could barely react and the floorboards broke to reveal a roar of flames. The blonde stared in terror before the brunette pulled her below the bed behind the sofa. And a sound of a loud fire alarm sounded, it rung, loud and clear, just like the one in Dipper's dreams.

'What's going on?' The blonde cried to the brunette.

'I don't know, but stay here! I'll go find out.' The brunette left the blonde, who was shaking with fear under the bed, as she went over the bed to see everything almost engulfed in flames. The brunette looked around and zapped herself away with a flick of her hand, Dipper ran out of the room to see the brunette down the staircase, looking around confusedly and running away from the stairwell. Dipper sprinted back into the room to see the blonde, trying to take everything in and her breathing getting faster. The poor girl then covered her ears and shut her eyes, mumbling ever so quietly.
