What is this story about?
It's about showing you how in a world so violent as The Last of Us world, everyone really eventually has to kill, and killing kills who you are, because the more you do it, the less those feelings of dread and horror come to you.

The Repetition
I used repetition towards the end because it's The Doctor reflecting that he doesn't know how or even IF he can go back to being happy and bubbly and well, how he used to be.

Why is it so emotional?
It is emotional because we love this character so much right? So it breaks our heart to see him lose everything that he is.

Inspiration for this story?
Two things actually, well, technically it's part of The Worlds Collide universe which part I doesn't release till next year, but the first thing is a song I love very much called 'Never be the Same' by Jessica Mauboy
