TW: abuse and cursing

The next morning I wake up by my alarm going of. I groan as I turn around and grab my phone, turning off the lousy noice. 6 AM, way to early.. I think to myself as I drag myself out of bed.

I slowly walk (more like stumble) into the kitchen, seeing Toby and Nik already sitting around the kitchen table. "Where's Sean?" I ask, still way to tired to function. "He woke up an hour ago, he's helping dad getting the cafe ready."

"Elgh, I don't get why he keeps doing that, dad is more then capable to do it himself." I respond as I grab a bowl and some cornflakes. "Well, if you want to take over the cafe it is honestly important you know how everything works out." Toby says with a laugh.

I frown, looking up at my two brothers. "Sean want's to take over the cafe?" I ask slowly, pouring some milk before sitting down next to them. "He haven't told you?" Nik asks slowly. "No, he never even mentioned talking about it." I respond with a frown.

I sigh putting my head into my hands as I look at the bowl of cornflakes. "I'm sure he has his reasons." Toby says, trying to make me feel better. I nod slowly. Sean and I did everything together, he was always there for me. I thought he still was, but apperantly he had his secrets.

I quickly eat all of the cornflakes before walking back to my room. I change in an oversized, Hufflepuff yellow sweather, some black leggings and put my hair in a simple messy bun.

I look into the mirror before grabbing my bag with a sigh. "I'm heading to school!" I yell through the apartment before walking downstairs. I quickly say goodbye to Sean and dad and then walk out.

I sigh before stepping onto the school grounds. "Ruby!" I look up and see Kelsey happily running towards us. "What are you all happy about." I ask with a laugh.

"The principal just announced that our school is getting uniforms!" She responds with a big smile. I fell my heart sink to the bottom of my body as I looked at Kelsey.

"Isn't this amazing!" She happily says. "Yeah, it's great that I have to walk around in a SKIRT at this school." I respond sarcastically.

"True.." she slowly responds. "But this is so good for our community, we'll be equal!" I laugh as I put my arm around her shoulders. "Keep dreaming, we'll never be equal in this world."

Kelsey pouts as we walk into the building. The first few hours went pretty good, it was when I had a free hour without Kelsey that things went horribly wrong.

"Ey Jackson!" I hear someone yell through the empty hallway. Not now, not now, not now. I think to myself as I keep on walking straight towards my locker.

I look up and see another dude standing in front of me, blocking the hallway. I swallow slowly, turning around and seeing Steve walking up to me with the biggest grin.

I hug my books tighter as he stops in front of me. "Haven't seen you in a while, how about we use that empty classroom there." He says, glaring at me.

"Please just leave me alo-" before I could finish Steve put a finger under my chin, making me look up. "I thought you knew better then disobeying me." He growled.

I took a step back, looking behind me to see Avery walking towards me also. "Though so." Steve says before pulling me with him and Avery into the classroom.

I didn't even had the time to think before Steve pinned me against the wall making my books fall out of my hand.

"I thought we agreed on meeting here every day." Steve growls, making Avery laugh. "I-I didn't want to, y-you can't hurt me anymore." I stammer, trying to sound confident.

"You bitch." I hear Steve say before I feel his fist hitting my cheek. I let out a small yell as I look up at him in fear. He throws his hand over my mouth. "If you make any sound you're dead." He scowl before punching me again.

Tears start to run down my cheeks as I look up at him. "P-please don't hit me." I mumble. "Don't talk back to him, girl." I look at Avery who kicks me into the stomach, making me collapse.

I cry out as both of the boys begin to kick me. Avery hits my ankle, hard. I throw a hand in front of my mouth to prevent myself from yelling, shutting my eyes tight. "Stand up." I hear Steve say.

I try to ignore it, tasting the blood in my mouth. "Are you deaf! I say stand up bitch!" I swallow my fear, slowly standing up. My ankle hurts badly making me flinch as I hold onto the wall.

"Please stop.." I whisper, feeling lightheaded as he punches me again. He pins me against the wall again, leaning forward. "You know you deserve this, no one would ever want you." Steve whispers into my ear, letting go of me.

I fall onto the ground, crying softly to myself as I hold onto my ankle. "You're worthless." Avery says with a laugh as the two boys grab their stuff.

"Oh and by the way." Steve says turning towards me with a grin. "If anyone asks, you fell." The door closes behind them and I'm left alone in the classroom.
