"What should I get Ruri....?"

"Is there anything in particular that your partner likes?" Luno asked him as they stood in front of the shopping district, having wandered around for a while due to Angoramon being confused and indecisive over what to get Ruri. 

"Well... she plays the piano, is a social media influencer, and is really kind to others even if she comes off as rude most of the time," Angoramon mused. "She took up photography with a polaroid once but that's stopped I think." 

"Maybe get her whatever she likes now!" Pumpmon offered. 

"I would but..." he frowned. "She's been interested in her social media account lately, and traveling to places since spring is coming soon and the sakura flowers will soon blossom." 

"I see what you mean," Bokomon nodded, his eyes now trained on Gammamon and Jellymon as the jellyfish Digimon balanced the child on her head while wearing a trenchcoat. An attempt to look human, while valiant and adorable, that fell flat on the ground. He couldn't help the chuckle that escaped his lips on that. Something about the two reminded him of... something. What was it though?

Still, the effort they put into it meant something, so Agumon pretended to look around while proclaiming loudly, "Oh, where could Gammamon and Jellymon have gone?" 

"Where, oh where are they?" Shoutmon intoned with a bit of a melody playing off his tongue. 

"But they're right there- Oh. OH," Jun thankfully put the pieces together quickly and joined in, "Gammamon, Jellymon, come out, come out, wherever you are!" 

The two could only giggle while Angoramon chuckled before turning to a slightly amused Luno, "Any suggestions?"

"Hm, I doubt she doesn't have a train pass by now, so maybe... maybe a special thing that she can use for her account? To boost viewers?" the genderfluid suggested.

"That could work," Angoramon nodded. "But what would that thing be?" 

"Maybe something reminiscent of you. I know I have pumpkin earrings and book ones at home to symbolise Boko and Pump, so maybe you could do the same." 

"Huh... Something reminiscent of me...?" Angoramon repeated. 

What would remind her of him?...

"Fluffy! I like you a lot!" 

His eyes widened under his bangs. Her words the day they met! That was it! He knew now what he could get for her!

Rushing past Gammamon as he nibbled away at a certain type of plant hanging nearby, Angoramon entered the electronics store and headed for the headphones section, where, much to his relief, a pair of rabbit headphones were on for sale, even discounted due to a clearance the store was doing. 

Without hesitating, he grabbed the wireless item and headed for the counter, "Jellymon, I need you to pay for me!"

"You already got it!? That was like, super fast!" Jellymon was astonished at the speed. "Are you sure?!" 

He nodded, "Yeah, I'm very sure."

As sure as the day he decided he had to stop Dracmon from hurting Ruri, he realised, and honestly? He didn't mind it at all. In fact, he welcomed it. They had had their ups and downs as partners but they had made it and this was going to be proof of that.

Once Jellymon paid for the headphones, the receptionist gave them to Angoramon who thanked her before they stepped out to Bokomon's alarmed shout, "Don't eat that!" 

"Ehhh? Why?" Gammamon was still very confused about why the reborn professor was panicking over a plant. 

"It's not food!" he answered firmly. "It's not meant to be eaten." 

"Ohhh! Okay!" Gammamon then easily spit it out much to his relief. 

Angoramon could only sigh while Jellymon floated over and said, "You can get sick if you eat that you know?" 

"Wait really!?" Gammamon looked worried. "Then why was it hanging like that?!"

"Mistletoe is only meant for a Christmas tradition. It is said that if two people are under it they have to kiss. Traditionally it's a boy and girl but recently it's been allowed for gay and lesbian couples," Angoramon filled him in. 

"Oh!! That's so cool!" the dinosaur Digimon smiled happily. 

Seeing this, Luno and Jun shared a smile before Pumpmon then called out, "Hey, look, another friend!" 

"Huh?" the others turned around just to see a person walking their way, whose figure was vaguely similar to Gammamon's older brother. 

"H-Hold on, h-he actually came?!" Jellymon panicked. 

"E-Everyone stay calm!" Angoramon tried to calm his beating heart. 

On the other hand, Gammamon was staring intently at the figure, as if trying to figure out something very important.

Agumon and Shoutmon stiffened while Pumpmon climbed onto Luno's shoulder to get a better view of the person. 

Who was the figure that was approaching them?....

Well this was actually quite fun! There's a reference to how Ruri and Angoramon met and became partners in episode 3. Dracmon was making Ruri's hands disappear and it was affecting her because she couldn't play the piano if this kept up. Angoramon swore to protect her,  to protect her piano playing, and had been helping Ruri until Hiro and Gammamon came along. When the two were hypnotised by Dracmon to get him to materialise, Ruri wore the Digivice Hiro had given her and bonded with Angoramon to take him down. Afterwards, Angoramon was going to introduce himself when Ruri suddenly hugged him and called him fluffy while Gammamon clung to him as well, which made him blush. This is context to some parts of this chapter, XenoSaiyan, so I hope it makes more sense now! Have fun reading!
