Before I start this I need to explain that in Sammy's last chapter I wrote about a brother and many thought that when I said Hephaestus, that I meant Hepaestus was the brother, which he isn't. There is a third brother AND Hephaestus just so ya know cause its gonna get crazy soon.

Piper didn't speak to him the whole ride back to the court.

They got back and the court was turned into a crime scene.

Yellow tape, red and blue lights, helicopters, and even S.W.A.T.

This couldn't be good.

Jason was processing everything that was going on at the court and came to the most logical conclusion hw coukd think of: Sammy had escaped.

Jason ran around frantically trying to find out everything he could, he heard something about a bathroom, and an open vent.

He could be on the roof.

Jason had to tell Piper, maybe she'd listen.

He look for her in the crowd but everyone was running around and causing panic.

Then through the pandemonium he saw her standing there. Not moving a bit. She stood there and stared at him with a hopeless stare, her eyes were bloodshot like she wanted to cry but had no tears left to shed. Piper was right, he didn't know what it was like for her, he finally realized that some things hurt others different ways, Jason knew he could've remained optimistic if it were him who were kidnapped. He always had been that way.

But Piper, she had little hope to begin with, she had been tormented her whole life, she thought she lost her sister, and when she finally got a job that made her happy her best friend was missing and then accused if murder, and then she was taken.

Jason saw that in her eyes for the first time, she was completely broken now.

He had to keep his hopes or Piper would never regain hers, but  he was beginning to crack.

Jason walked over towards her, "I think he's still on the roof, he escaped through the vents which let out onto the roof, maybe he's hiding up there."

"Let's go search I guess," Piper said unenthusiastically.

The two ventured up to the top of the roof and saw a beat up Sammy on the roof.

A note was left on his chest.

"Look for his brother, Jake, and father." The note read in messy print.

"Jake? There's another one?" Piper said. She was so frustrated that she screamed. She kicked the vent, she kicked Jason's shin which he didn't get mad at, after all Piper was going through a lot at the moment.

"I'm done," she said, "I am absolutley done, Oh God why do you find such joy in terrorizing innocent people who have done nothing wrong?" She yelled towards the sky, "I have prayed to you, where are you? WHERE ARE YOU?"

Piper fell to her knees and cried, Jason sat dow beside her and held her in his arms as long as she needed him too.

He promised himself that day that he would do whatever it took to find Jake and Sammy's father and make them pay for the pain they had caused his Piper.
