Damon didn't let Ric's interrogation kill his mood as he headed home to the love of his life and made a mental plan of their evening. He wasn't just going to rush in and take her right to bed after all. No, she deserved some romance. After a moment's though he decided to do something he'd never done before and detoured to the florist. He never really saw the point in getting flowers for someone when they would just die in a few days anyway, but women found it romantic, so he could do it. Just this once. He got her a bouquet of roses and continued on to the boarding house.

Bonnie heard Damon drive up and headed down to meet him, stopping short with a gasp as she got to the bottom of the stairs and saw the roses he was holding. A bright smile broke out on her face as she closed the rest of the distance and took them, kissing him lovingly. She blurred to the kitchen to put them in a vase and by the time she got back, he had started some music. "Dance with me?" he asked, holding out a hand to her.

"I'd love to," she said happily and took it. They danced for quite a while before their passion overwhelmed them and they made it to the bed. Bonnie had wanted him to be her first as a vampire for a reason and it was the most incredible experience of her life. She knew that a lot of that was just the enhanced senses of vampirism, but not nearly all of it. The rest was just Damon. The way every touch, every kiss, every movement showed his love for her and she returned every gesture as she surrendered to it all. As they laid there catching their breath, she reached out to brush her hand over his face lovingly, "I love you, Damon."

Damon smiled brightly and turned to kiss her hand as he said, "And I love you, Bonnie. Always."

"Always," Bonnie agreed as she leaned in for a kiss which soon turned to more again, and so it went long into the night until they fell asleep in each other's arms, happy and sated.

They didn't get long to bask in their happiness before Klaus returned to town, with Stefan in tow as Bonnie knew he would, and they learned that only Elena's blood could create hybrids. On the plus side, it meant that Elena was as safe as she could be, and kept Stefan in town to 'babysit' her. On the down side, she now essentially belonged to Klaus. It could be worse though. At least he was still letting her live her life. Bonnie worried about the emergence of Ric's other personality. Last time that had screwed everything all to hell, but it didn't seem to happen. Apparently preventing Esther's interference in this world had prevented that as well. Maybe she'd gotten caught in her experiments or something. She could hope at least. That meant that things were relatively peaceful and all they needed to do was get Stefan back.

Bonnie was perfectly happy to help with that however she could, but took a little trip with an excuse to Damon about knowing a witch that might be able to help. She had the sireline breaking spell, one that she hadn't sold, but had made an effort to memorize in the future. She had a good idea of who might be capable of it based on who had bought her spells. For the hell of it, she'd snatched hair from Rebekah and even managed to sneak into the coffins and take one from all the others as well. Klaus would be the priority though to save her, Damon, Stefan, Caroline, and now Tyler too. The witch could get to the others when she recovered from the massive power requirements for Klaus'. It would be the payment for the spell. At least part of it. Since it wasn't a spell that would be useful aside from what Bonnie asked for, she had to pay a bit of money too in order to get it done, but it was worth it and she had more than enough. She was filthy rich just from selling the spells, which orders were still coming in for and that was without her investments that were raking in the cash too so a few thousand dollars per original was just a drop in the bucket. She stayed until Klaus' was broken and then told the witch to get to the others as soon as she could and headed home to her man. Now she didn't have to worry if they did end up killing Klaus this time.

Bonnie was even more nervous about Mikael this time than she was before. Now she was food to him, after all, but his deal with Damon naturally included her in its protection. Like before, Stefan double-crossed the big plan and Mikael died. Damon was pissed, but soon learned that Stefan did it to save him which at least meant that they were on the verge of getting his humanity back if it wasn't all the way back. Once it was back, Stefan and Elena got back together, and the fight against Klaus was ongoing. At least they didn't have to worry about the whole family being undaggered and Esther's interference. Unfortunately, Rebekah still ended up killing Elena and she still ended up a vampire. She'd been jealous of Klaus' hybrid family and wanted to prevent him from making any more. That got a 'civil war' started in the Mikaelson family and the Mystic Falls gang was essentially forgotten about for the time being.

Since Ric didn't become his evil self, the council was never alerted to the vampires in town, and between that and the fact that Bonnie losing her magic and being a vampire now was public knowledge, the hunter of the five never showed up either. She couldn't help them get to Silas anymore, and in fact no one could. She suspected that Shane was trying to find another way, but it wouldn't work. Only a Bennett witch could do it, and there weren't any left. Even if he did find her mother, she didn't have her magic either. Sure, she'd gotten it back for Bonnie's sake in the future, but there was no other way she would get it back this time. Her cousins didn't have the family magic being of an offshoot line so wouldn't work either.

Bonnie actually graduated that time, to Damon's cheers and did end up going to college, but to Elena and Caroline's pouting, didn't end up rooming with them in the dorms. She lived with Damon in a house he rented off-campus. Since one of the first things Bonnie had done once she was a vampire was head to Whitmore college, free Enzo with promises to leave Damon alone, and take out the Augustines once and for all, she wasn't worried about going to school there and she studied finance which even Damon admitted would come in handy. He did pretty well with what he'd learned on his own, but a more formal course of study wouldn't hurt.

Stefan and Elena had broken up not long after she became a vampire. He said that she'd changed too much for him and it wasn't helped that she let Damon teach her to feed. She had tried his animal blood diet, but couldn't keep it down. She did fine on the blood bags and like Caroline usually drank those, but they both learned to feed live just so that they would know how if they ever needed to. Stefan didn't exactly fault her for it, but she'd lost the innocence that he'd loved so much about her and found himself drifting away. Elena hated everything about being a vampire, but there wasn't anything that could be done about that. Bonnie was the only one who knew about the cure, and it wasn't possible to get it anyway even if it wasn't a colossally bad idea.

Stefan stayed at the boarding house while the rest of them went off to college and Elena and Caroline moved into the house with Damon and Bonnie after the first semester, not really liking dorm living very much. Things got a little tense when Caroline and Stefan started dating two summers later, but since Elena had a new boyfriend then too, a prospective doctor named Liam, it blew over. There hadn't been any hostilities. Mostly just awkwardness. By the time their senior year started Stefan had moved into the house with Caroline, and Elena asked about Liam moving in. Damon put his foot down on that one though. At least until or unless she brought him in on the vampire secret. They weren't going to hide in their own home. Once he put it that way, everyone else agreed with him. Elena knew that it was time though. She'd been putting it off for too long. They'd been dating for three years and were talking about moving in together after all. He ended up taking the secret well enough but didn't want to live in a house full of vampires, so he and Elena got an apartment of their own.

After they graduated, most of the crew moved back to Mystic Falls and the boarding house, but Elena stayed for medical school with Liam. They would end up being married and starting their own practice, but Elena never even considered turning him, so he continued to age and when he eventually died, Elena took her own life to join him. She'd never liked being a vampire and never intended to live that way forever. She had the closest she could get to a normal human life in a normal human lifetime and that was enough for her.

Once they moved back to Mystic Falls, Caroline went into event planning and she and Stefan got married that summer. Her mother was there at the wedding, but didn't last long after. The brain cancer had come out of nowhere. Bonnie remembered it happening much sooner in the other timeline, but she supposed that the lack of disasters meant that she wasn't given vampire blood which could have sped it up then. Either way, Caroline had a good support system in place this time and the love of her husband so she managed to make it through without turning off her humanity thankfully. Bonnie and Damon had discussed the idea of marriage, but decided against a wedding. It would just be for show anyway like Stefan and Caroline's was. Instead they just started considering themselves that way and Bonnie changed her name to Salvatore.

Bonnie never used her degree in an actual job and she'd never intended to. She managed her fortune, and Damon's, Stefan's, Caroline's, and even Elena's until she died. The vampires had decided to keep their fortunes separate despite being married, though none of them cared who paid for anything and there was no arguing that way. Probably because they all had more than enough anyway. Especially once Bonnie got her hands on it and it started growing in leaps and bounds. She was still mostly using her future knowledge to do it, but now she would be okay once that knowledge was obsolete.

As for Ric, he'd started teaching at Whitmore college after his 'family' all moved there, helped by a compulsion from Damon. He would always have rather taught at a college than high school anyway. He ended up falling for and marrying a doctor at Whitmore college, Elena's mentor, Jo Laughlin. When she learned about his supernatural 'family' she admitted that she too had been a witch in the past but had given up her magic. Since she didn't have her magic, neither did their twin daughters which allowed them to escape the Gemini curse.

Even after the group had to move on from Mystic Falls due to their lack of aging, they didn't go far. Just to the other side of Whitmore so they could still be close to their friends. Elena, Liam, Ric, and Jo. Elena, rather than move on, just started using products to age herself up. Adding some lines in her face and dying grey into her hair. She only intended to live the one lifetime after all and she didn't want to have to spend it moving around. She didn't spend a lot of time in public anyway outside of her medical practice. It wasn't until all four of their friends passed of old age, suicide in Elena's case, that they moved on farther away from Mystic Falls and Whitmore college and the whole world opened up to them.
