Max's P.O.V

Sympathy gnawed in my belly, and sorrow nailed my heart. Poor Ross...he loved me, didn't he? And...he was rejected...twice in his life. But, I didn't love him back! I can't just lie and say that I love him. I did the right thing, I just wish I was more sincere about it.

I swallowed the last noodles of macaroni, and got up from my chair. I looked down to see Red's eyes burning on my skin. Did he see what happened? I pushed that thought away and walked over to the kitchen to see if Ross was there.

I walked in to see Barney eating some yogurt and Adam on his phone, scrolling through twitter. I gulped.

"Have you guys seen Ross?" I called out. They looked at me,

"Um, no. Last time I saw him was he walked into the bathroom." Adam replied. I dipped my head in thanks and rushed over to the bathroom. The door was still closed, and I pressed my ear onto the door, but I heard nothing.

Is anyone even in the bathroom? I tried to open the door, but it was locked.

"Ross! Are you in there?" I yelled. Nothing. It was silent. Worry slapped across my body, and I knocked again, gawping at the door knob.

"ROSS!" I screamed. I looked around to see if anyone heard my screaming. Red, Adam, Barney and Tim rushed to me, their eyes glazed with worry.

"Max! What is its?" Barney asked, alarmed. I was on the verge of tears,

"I- I DON'T KNOW!" I panicked. Adam rubbed my back to sooth me, but I wasn't.

"You sure he's in here?" Tim hummed. I glared at him, and he shut his mouth shut. I wiggled the doorknob around with all my might, in vain.

"We have to kick the door open." Adam growled, but his voice was shaking of fear. Oh, Ross...what are you doing? What have you done?

Without warning, I pull all of my weight on my right leg, and pushed the door, but it didn't budge.

"Fuck." I hissed. "Everyone kick with all of your might." I ordered. They nodded, and we all kicked, sweat dribbling down my neck. 

The door finally snapped open, my fear coaxing.

"Ross! Where are-" My voice was cut off, as my eyes bled at the scene...My heart was beating, and tears slipped down my face.

"ROSS!" I hollered. His body was lop sided, his arms and legs splayed out. Blood oozed out of his mouth, and there was pills next to his head, and a note beside him.

"No...he's not dead...is he?" I gasped, trembling in fear. The others had tears burning down their faces, and I picked up the note and read,

Goodbye, my loved ones. Especially you two. My beautiful two, it's not your fault.

It must've meant me and Red. I collapsed to my knees and wheezed and sobbed,

"NO! NONONNO!" Red screamed beside me. He hugged me, and I hugged back. 

"IT'S MY FAULT!" I yelled, as Adam and Barney watched in fear, paralyzed by everything.

"It's not your fault Max..." Red choked, his warm tears soaked in my shirt. Adam and Barney closed their eyes, releasing their tears, and loud sobs came form them. Why? Why did Ross have to kill himself!? I still love him as a friend!

"Red...let's...let's..." I barfed up spit from crying, and tried to finish my sentence, "Red...let's take a walk...and try to take out minds off-"

"I CAN'T TAKE MY MIND OF THIS! ROSS KILLED HIMSELF BECAUSE OF ME!" He screeched, tearing away from the crowed, covering his face. 

I crawled over to Ross' pulseless body. I dug my face into his cold, dead skin, and heartless chest, and sobbed even louder into my dead friend.
