I sat on my cot in a daze with my hands shaking. Daryls vest he had given me was next to me and I was holding the braclet Katie had given him. It blew my mind how he kept it all this time, but it angered me that he up and left me the way he did. Screw Merle, we were his family too and Merle is just an asshole. I hated that I didn't hate Daryl. Not even a little bit I loved him so much that I couldn't hate him. I was angry at him for sure but I didn't hate him. I twirled the beads in my fingers looking at them. My precious Katie, she had made this for Daryl so he would be lucky. If I had a job interview or anything like that she would do something similar to the braclet for luck. I sniffled and set the braclet down and sighed. Ugh!! How can he just do that?!!! I raked my fingers in my hair and groaned frustrated at asking the same damn question that I wasnt able to answer. I rocked back and forth and tapped my feet annoyed. I jumped when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Sorry didn't mean to scare you" Maggie told me as I angled my head to look at her.

She rounded my cot and sat down next to me moving Daryls vest and the braclet. I sniffled and wiped my nose.

"You okay?" I asked.

Maggie shrugged.

"I'll be fine, are you okay?"

I shook my head.

"No, why even lie? No Maggie I am not okay" I told her.

Maggie rubbed her hand on my back comforting.

"I'm sorry sweetie. I know how much you loved him. I knew your heart was broken the minute you faced us. It sucks it really does, but he's strong you don't have to worry" she explained.

I stood up and paced.

"I'm less worried than I am angry. I'm furious. He just up and left he chose to, he left me. I just ugh" I growled frustrated and kicked my crossbow causing slid along floor towards the stairs.

"Adelyne-" Maggie began.

She walked closer to me and I gripped the rail of the perch and rocked back and forth trying to calm down my rage.

"Get out of my face!" I yelled causing her to jump back.

I didn't mean it, I was just so angry. I took a deep breath,

"I'm sorry"

Maggie shook her head understanding.

"It's okay honey. I know you're angry" she told me rubbing my arm.

I nodded and my bottom lip started to quiver and I broke down into tears and Maggie pulled me close and just held me while I sank to my knees sobbing.

"I'm so sorry sweetie."

It had been a few days without Daryl. I couldn't help but wonder if he was okay and if he was alive. We weren't sure what the governors next move was since we shot up his town trying to get our people back. I sat in the feild and looked out into the woods. A tear slid down my cheek and I quickly wiped it away. I seen Rick on the other side of the fence, what was he doing? He looked like he was in a daze. I was about to say something until another voice stopped me. I looked to see Hershel and Rick turned around and walked over to him and they started to have a conversation. I sighed and looked back towards the woods and suddenly I heard shots fired. I ducked in the grass and so did Hershel and more shots started. I heard a group yelling. I made it to Daryls motorcycle and ducked behind it for a sheild.

Suddenly a loud rumble came towards us.

"What the fuck is that?" I asked slighlty looking from behind the motorcycle.

Thats when a truck came busting through the gates breaking them and I gasped. The back of the truck opened and tons of walkers started pouring out into the feild. Fuck!
