Although I wasn't able to submit on time and join the contest, this is my entry for the Open Novella Contest. It's another psychological-thriller and this is a challenging one to write.

I used a lot of prompts, but the main prompt that I used reads:

Every time you feel like you've failed at something, a flower appears in your garden. You now have the most spectacular flower garden in your neighbourhood, yet all you want is grass.
