Simon's POV

When I woke up, I was leaned against a wall, it took me a moment to realise I was against a cubicle in the toilets. JJ was sat on the closed lid of the toilet, on his phone.

"Fuckin' finally! Dude it's been hours." JJ complained. But I knew he didn't mind, it wasn't our first time skipping class.

"'Time is it?" I asked, rubbing a hand over my face.

"Just going 11." He replied.

"So we've missed maths and computing? What lessons on now?"

"Errr... Geography, I think?" Jide replied, but said more as a question.

We sat for a few minutes, I pulled out my phone and checked my snapchat.

"We should probably head to fourth period at quarter past. Excuse is that you fell walking to school and we had to be late while you recovered. I'll write the note in your planner."

Jide nodded, standing up. Just as we were about to leave, the fire alarm went. Recently, the fire alarm went off a lot, because someone pushed it. I'll admit, on the occasion that I have a test, I'll sometimes hit the fire alarm discretely.

I opened the door and looked out, the hallways were quiet. Everyone must be coming soon. I ran into the hallway with Jide and we made it to the fire exit. No teachers were around, and we didn't usually leave on a fire alarm but JJ tapped me and said that because we hadn't turned up to form or any lessons, we were marked as absent.

The place to go if there is a fire (our fire assembly point) is down some steps onto the playing fields. Fortunately, is a clear exit. We ran out into the car park, about to jump the fence as a voice yelled out at us. We ignored it and ran down the hill.

I saw my PE teacher running after us, but we kept going. JJ ducked into an alleyway, and I followed. I pulled him into the bushes, out of view and the teacher looked around confused.

Once the teacher had decided that two year 10 students weren't worth looking for, he returned to the school.

"Right then, get the bus to mine? Everyone's out." JJ said, and I nodded, out of breath. We quickly caught the 236 to his house and settled down to watch a film.

I have major writers block. I wrote this whole chapter then deleted it cause I didn't like it. I find writing school scenes quite hard. Anyway hope you enjoyed!
