Chapter 3: DANCE!

The city had quieted, but Sebastian couldn't find peace. The streets still smelled of smoke and defiance, the echoes of chants from yesterday bouncing in his mind. He sat atop a high tower overlooking Pacopolis, Cylindria leaning against the railing beside him.

Cylindria: "You did it... you really started something."
Sebastian (staring at the horizon): "Yeah... but I don't even know who I am anymore. Am I just my father's son? Or the same as Betrayus before me?"

He clenched his fists, the weight of expectations pressing down. The rebellion had begun, but he felt trapped inside his own head, a prisoner of legacy and the city's chaos.

Sebastian (whispering the lyrics to himself, letting the melody guide him):
"Half-ass it and you'll be K.O.
So be it, if you're light-hearted.
Let's get ready for the show.
Cry or laugh, just love me, okay?
C'mon, 'Say No', bring the bass!"

He closed his eyes. Memories of childhood came rushing back—growing up under Betrayus's shadow, Rotunda's cold disapproval, Stratos's constant insistence on control. It was all a complex mess, a "lonely logic note" that refused to let him go.

"Dunno what to say... Things tend to get boring.
A lonely logic note, a handy serious escape.
Can't take this anymore, a bad taboo, but,
Drown and drop in mud. It's 'bout time!"

Cylindria reached over and touched his arm. "Seb... whatever happens, you don't have to figure it all out alone."

Sebastian (smiling faintly, voice low):
"Let's work harder, work harder until I get excited.
Let's connect, two is better than one.
More the people, more I'm relieved."

He felt the music pulse in his chest, the lyrics almost like a map to himself. The rebellion outside was chaotic, yes—but this inner struggle was just as real, just as urgent.

"Half-ass it and you'll be K.O.
So be it, if you're light-hearted.
Let's get ready for the show.
Cry or laugh, just love me, okay?"

Sebastian opened his eyes and saw Cylindria smiling. "Tonight," he said, "tonight we figure out who we are, not what they want us to be."

The wind whipped around them, carrying the faint echoes of the city and the distant chants of Pacopolis's citizens. It was chaotic. It was raw. It was perfect.

"Woah, dance, dance!
Sanitize loneliness. Full house, thank you!
Woah, even the pain, let's share it!
Tonight's a party in the dark."

Sebastian finally laughed—a small, freeing sound. For the first time, he felt like he could be both himself and part of something bigger.

The night was long, the city restless, but inside that tower, a new determination took root. He would not be just another pawn. He would define himself.
