Hp
Okay. You know what confuses me?
How there's no mention of anyone not being straight in hp (some of them act it, but there's no gay relationships)
Someone told me about one in ten men are LGBTQ
Let's assume that applies to girls too, it'd probably be a similar number
So there's five Gryffindor boys in Harry's year. Therefore, we can say there's about ten of each house in every year
That makes forty to fifty students per year, and there's about eight years (correct me if I'm wrong)
That means around 360 students
If that thing earlier was correct, that makes about 36 LGBTQ people in the school, and that's not including teachers
And yet, Rowling never mentions a single person being trans, gay, bi, whatever (within the series. Jk has admitted she views Dumbledore as gay, and he made all those mistakes in his youth because he had a crush on thingie I forgot how to spell the name of. But that's not canon)
Anywho
I feel like we're being cheated out of gay couples to ship. Straight ones, we have a ton-- Romione, Ginny, Jily, whatever you call Tonks and Remus (even if I ship wolfstar), Cho and Cedric (idfc it was adorable), George and Angelina, and it goes on
What happened to the diversity Harry Potter themes throughout with the battle about blood purity, voldie, prejudice..
*Drops mic*
Don't get me wrong, I look up to Rowling.
She's an absolute Queen (goddess, even), on Twitter, an amazing writer, and from what I can gather from the internet (which I admit to trusting more then I should) she seems like a genuinely nice person
Anywho
Thoughts?
