Ok. Let's get some things straight. (No pun intended).

I am Catholic. I was raised by a mom and a dad. I was never told things like: "if you are a lesbian we will disown you." Or things like that. My religion doesn't encourage that, but it doesn't discourage it, either. 

Most people think that Christians and Catholics are completely against stuff like that. But, we were told that God will you to Heaven, even if you were a sinner. So basically God takes everyone.

Now for the real rant. One of my friends is a lesbian. I was a little shocked at first, but I accepted it. She's still a human, after all.

Now, when she told her parents, they lost it!!!!! They grounded her, she is no longer allowed to see her girlfriend, (she still does, btw), she is picked up as soon as the ending bell rings, and brought to school right before the starting bell rings. And her parents were like: "YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE A LESBIAN!!!!!!!!"

Dude. That's like telling her she's not allowed to be ANGRY! She can't help how she feels! She's still a human being! Just because she isn't straight doesn't mean you have to lose it!

And, to top it all of, she has started having sucicidal thoughts. I'm like: "IF SHE TAKES HER LIFE, GUESS WHAT?!?! IT WILL BE YOUR FAULT FOR NOT LETTING HER BE HERSELF!!!!!!

It was so sad! She cried through most of the lunch, and she would only accept hugs from her girlfriend.

I may not be the most accepting of lesbians, but when it's my FRIEND, and THIS happens, you bet I'm in full support. I cannot express how angry I am at her family right now. I mean, seriously. It's not that unnatural! It's been found in many different animals before! And everyone has equal rights, and we should all be able to love who we love, and it shouldn't matter about their gender. It should matter about who they really are.

Pansexuals have the right ideas! Gender plays absolutely no part in who they like, and honestly, i think the world would be better off if everyone was like this.
