What is the difference between OTPs and ships?

ell, my dear friend, when you ship two people, you just want them to be together.

Otp, stands for One True Pairing. It's similar to shipping, but they're like, your top ship. People you ship can be two random people, but otp can also be a couple.
e.x. "My otp is Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt."

(And don't even mention that they broke up.)

I hope you got that, because I'm also kinda awful at explaining, but yeah!
