(Hanahaki! Matt x Reader)
(Sry, but in this chapter your favorite flowers are roses. For the one who doesn't know what this disease is: Hanahaki Disease is a fictional disease in wich the victim coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one-sided love. It ends when the beloved returns their feelings or when the victim dies. It can be cured through surgical removal, but when the infection is removed, the victim's romantic feelings for their love also disappear)

Matt's POV
Ok. Today I'll tell her that I love her.
She was talking with Tom in the living room.

(Y/n). The most beautiful creature next to me.

I wanted to say something but.......
That what I saw broke my pretty heart in thousand little parts.
She and Tom were kissing.
I went to my room and sat on my bed. All I wanted to do was to cry. Suddenly there was a sharp pain on my wirst. I pushed up my sleeve, only to be shocked.

Green tendrils gripped my wirst painfully. Then I started to cough and it hurtet like hell. The worst pain I've ever felt. I coughed blood and..... (f/c) rose petals.
What an irony, (f/c) roses are the favorite flowers of (y/n). I couldn't stop coughing until Edd came into my room.
„Matt, is everything alri...." with his eyes widened in shock he ran to me and carried me to the bathroom. I explained with coughs what happened and he looked at me worried.
„Matt, you have Hananhaki Disease..." he said and explained everything. His voice full with anxiety and sadness.

So that's why I'm coughing up (y/n)'s favorite flowers.
„Hanahaki can be cured" he continued „but only in 2 ways. First one: you let it operate away, but then you won't be able to feel romantic emotions anymore. And the other way: (y/n) returns your feelings"
That was a hard choice.
„I......I need to think"

(Y/n)'s POV
„Matt? Is everything alright?" I asked while knocking on his door.
It's been 3 months since Matt locked himself in his room.
No response.
I sat on the floor next to his door and started to cry.
Why is he ignoring me?
Did I've done something?
I filled my head with these kind of questions. Edd came to Matt's room and saw me crying on the floor. „(Y/n)? What happened?" „Matt is ignoring me and I......I don't know what to do! Wouldn't you be sad too if your most beloved person is just ignoring you for, like, 3 months?!"
Edd sighed and sat next to me. He told me everything. About the Hanahaki Disease, his feelings for me and that he saw Tom and me kissing.
„I-I never knew that. And about the kiss, Tom was drunk and thought I'm my sister, (s/n)"
Edd nodded, taking my hand and knocked on Matt's door. „Matt, it's me Edd" I could hear Matt opening the door and Edd pushed me in.
I think I fell on Matt and Edd closed the door from outside. „(Y-y/n)?" his voice was full of anxiety and he covered the left half of his face.
I didn't dare to say anything. I was shaking.

Tendrils are where crossed over his whole body, from every tendril dripped blood down.
His right eye was covered in tendrils and a lot of blood dripped out of it. Blood and (f/c) rose petals dripping from his mouth.

And all that......... because of me. Again I started to cry. „W-why didn't you tell me, that you love me ?" I asked weakly while lifting up with him. He remained silence and looked away. I cupped his left cheek and made him look at me. „Edd told me everything. The kiss was only because Tom was drunk and he thought I was (s/n). And who I love is not Tom, Edd, Tord or any other guy on this planet" I made a long pause, whispering to his ear „...I love only you Matt" his sky blue eyes widened.
Then,
we kissed.
He tasted like blood but this doesn't mattered right now. We pulled back and there it was.
I smiled.
The tendrils were gone, leaving dark bruises and blooded wounds.
„Matt, look" I pointed at his body parts. He smiled soft and hugged me.
