It's different for a book to open with someone talking to you. Besides that, you would expect something different or something of the sort. Well, this story is just about me. (Not actual me)

"MJ! It's time for you to get up!" My mother's voice calls from outside the room. I lift my head from the desk with scattered papers on it. "It's a Saturday, Mom." I say to her.

I could hear her huff from outside my room. "It's 9:00 am,MJ." I roll my eyes and get up. I wiped the drool off of my chin and walk to the door. I fixed my long whitish hair into a makeshift ponytail. As I was about to reach to the doorknob, my mom opens the door before I could.

"My goodness MJ, when will learn to get up and be a proper lady?" I sigh, listening to my mother. I fixed my purple t-shirt and my black shorts.

"I was studying last night mother. I guess I fell asleep on my desk." I explain. Mother sighs and starts to head downstairs. "Fix yourself up and come downstairs soon, MJ!" She says as her voice disappears down to the lower floor of the home.

I grabbed a outfit of clothing and head to the bathroom near my room to take a shower. A soothing hot shower may wake me up.

-----~~~~~~~~~~-----

I looked in the mirror as the steam from the shower cleared up. Pale skin, heterochromia eyes, stitches than ran my face and through one of my eyes. My messy bangs flopped against my forehead. The stitches were the result of a accident from a long time ago, the problem was that they would be never taken out.

I brush out my hair and head downstairs, refreshed and in a new set of clothing. A green t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. My mother looks over at me from the living room and smiles. "Good, your up." She says.

I nod and continue my way to the kitchen to grab some food. By now it was around 9:45-ish. Oh well. I've hadn't much use for keeping track of time other than for school. Despite the accident, my mother still wants me to get an education and doesn't even bother to think about what the other kids would think of me. I'll have to keep my patience though. I don't want another anxiety attack. My attacks aren't what you'd expect. Instead of breaking down, I tend to have more of an urge to kill those who threaten me. My reason: my brain was jumbled and messed in the accident as well. A lot things happened that caused for me to be this way. I don't have the best of luck either as for my bullies at school would push me around and hit me constantly. On the other hand, I have my best friend, Samantha or Sam for short. Despite me looking like the result of a voodoo doll, she sees beyond my looks like a true friend would.

I sat down with a plate of scrambled eggs and toast. The smell of food makes my mouth water. I started eating and looked at my phone. Apparently, I had six missed calls and 16 texts from Sam. Must of been after I passed out.

I call Sam to let her know I'm okay. She's a early bird for everything so I know she may as well be awake. I raise the phone to my ear and wait for answer, which I didn't have to wait long. Sam picks and I can hear her cheerful voice. "Hi MJ!" I flinch from her sudden loud tone. "Hi Sam." I respond.

"Why'd you stop answering me yesterday?" She asks. I then heard a crunch of a cookie. She bakes waaaaay to much. "I passed out from lack of sleep, Sam. It was like three in the morning." I answer.

I heard her giggle. "As long as your okay! I gotta go now! Mama's waiting for me out in the car." And just like that she hung up on me. Fortunately, for me, I have a good memory so I don't confused on whatever Sam may say. We're both Juniors in high school and yet other kids there just don't seem like they'll ever grow up past the age of six. All of them act like children, I'm telling ya.

I finish my plate and set it in the sink to wash later. I slipped my phone into my pocket and head to the backyard to enjoy the cloudy day.

I'm weird like that but hey, I'm just a doll right?
