I made this when I was bored.
And I legit cried.
I know, pathetic, right?
Well...here it is.
THIS IS NOT PART OF THE BOOK; JUST A SMALL STORY I WROTE FOR FUN.
They are both cybertronians in this.

Knockout sat on the berth, tears leaking through his clenched optics. His spark ached; the fire had returned. And not the one he had felt more recently; no, this one, this one was painful, filled with the pain of the past. The images flashed through his head, each one a stab in his spark.
"Oh...Breakdown...why'd you have to leave me?" He choked. "It's not fair...ITS NOT FAIR, DAMMIT." He clenched his servos, and punched his seat, denting it. "It's...not fair." He sobbed.
"K-Knockout?" His helm snapped up, and he quickly wiped away the tears with his optics at the sight of the femme who stood only a few feet away, her optics wide with worry and...is that fear? She took a step forward.
"Oh, h-hey." He muttered, turning his helm away in order not to have to face her. He heard her gasp.
"Are you crying, what's wrong?" She walked closer, but froze when he jerked a servo up at her, signaling her to stop.
"Nothing's...wrong..." His voice barely came over a whisper, sounding almost like a growl. She gasped, her breath filed with the faint sound of a whisper. Her ped steps stopped, then began to fade.
"I'll...leave you alone then." She choked out, and began to turn to leave. He didn't know what it was that got into him, but in a flash, he was up, his arms wrapped around her tightly, and he sobbing into her helm.
"Please....don't leave me." He whispered, his voice cracking. She gasped. This wasn't the usual behavior that came from him. Slowly, she wrapped her arms back around his back.
"I won't." She whispered in response. His digits clenched, as a sob caught in his throat, and he squeezed harder, his claws now digging into his own skin plate, piercing it.
"I won't ever leave you."

Breakdown smiled, watching as the couple hugged. Finally, his partner...well...ex-partner...he was happy. He was himself again.
He was in love.
"Well, Knocks, you've done good." He muttered, placing a servo on the red mech's shoulder plate. It went, unnoticed, of course: once you're one with the Allspark, there is no contact with the living. Still, it made him happy to see his partner again one last time. And for the opportunity he was presented with, he was grateful.
"Goodbye...Knockout." He said the mech's name for the last time, before fading away into nothing.
