This one is for an opinion that I asked xxDiamond_Godxx  some time ago

About Soriel, a very popular Undertale ship

Well, I disagree with XxDiamond_GodxX about the 'fact' that this ship would be a bad ship

In the game there are multiple times when Soriel is hinted

Exhibit A: The relationship between Sans and Toriel and the promise

Easily the reason the ship started. We all know that Sans hates doing promises and he knows what happens if he leaves Frisk total freedom. But he accepts. And not only that. He keeps it. He wanted to kill Frisk from the start and could you blame him for that? He knows that probably one day you're gonna kill everybody. So Sans values Toriel's trust so much to trust Frisk

Exhibit B: Date with Papyrus and Pacifist ending

When you date Papyrus and ask him about the oven he tells you Sans has started to cook pies. Coincidence? In Undertale?

And when everyone unites to block Asgore, this is Sans' expression when he looks at Toriel

And he continues to stare at her for all the time

Still not enough?

Exhibit C: it wasn't gonna work between Asgore and Toriel anyways

Don't get me wrong, I love the tragic figure that is King Fluffybuns, but I have the ultimate proof that the relation between Asgore and Toriel was gonna fail even without the whole war on humanity.

Deltarune. Deltarune stars both Toriel and Asgore and, for reasons unkwown to us, but different from Undertale, they're divorced

So you have it. Sans cares a lot about about Toriel, enough to let you pass even if you killed his brother and Toriel herself. The relationship is hinted several times in the game. And Asgoriel was destined to fail from the start
