Rant
This is about Legends of Tomorrow, the DC live action tv show. Spoilers ahead.

YES I KNOW LEONARD SNART COMES BACK IN SEASON TWO. DID MY FRIEND AND I KNOW THAT WHEN WE HAD THIS CONVERSATION? NO. I WISH WE DID, BECAUSE THEN I WOULDN'T HAVE CRIED NEARLY AS HARD!

As my fellow Legends know, Leonard Snart, AKA Captain Cold, AKA Smol-Child-That-Must-Be-Protected, gets knocked off at the end of season one. He sacrifices himself for his team, proving once-and-for-all that he is no longer a villain, but a true hero. And in the immortal words of my dear friend, "Luna Chase" we'll call her, "...that was the stupidest thing they could have possibly done."

She explained to me her theory of how that scene could have played out. She thought, and I'm paraphrasing a little, that Mick Rory, Heat Wave, would have been a much better death than Snart. She said that Rory's character was completed, he only needed to die. And with all his inner conflict, between his loyalty to Snart, his want of power, and his general dickishness, for him to die for the team would bring him full circle on the character development chart. Not to mention that, Snart still had a lot of character aspects to him that we still needed to explore. His relationship with his sister, Lisa, his past ties with Mick, his feelings for Sara, all of these could have been exploited in great detail. Not to mention, he has already expressed his loyalty to the team several times, so he really didn't have anything to prove. It was just shit writing on the creators part in Luna and I's shared opinion.

BUT HE'S BACK SO NONE OF THAT MATTERS!
