You don't have to do anything with this you can just read it you can share it but I wanted to post it because this is the reality of our world.

In the world we live in girls dont ask if you have ever been assaulted they ask when you have been assaulted because in our world its not a matter of if but when. You remember that girl that you saw by the tree flinch and that had a scratch on her arm? Yeah that girl goes home and deals with screaming and then she hides and cuts lines across her arms. Next year that very same girl comes into lunch with barely anything in her lunchbox and you notice that she isnt even eating. And then you find out three months after that she died from suicide but all you hear is oh its another suicide. No one noticed her while she was struggling silently but everyone seems to notice and care now that she is in the ground and there is nothing you can do to bring her back, its too late now. You know that black boy that you saw walking down the street going home after school? The next day someone had to tell his parents that he was shot and killed because of the world we live in. You know that girl who you called ugly? The next day she came into school wearing a skirt and you called her a slut. The day after that she came to school in jeans and a band shirt and you called her weird. So the day after that she came in jeans and a pink shirt and you called her a wannabe. She went home that day thinking that she was not good enough and that she would never fit in at school ever but you would never know because its just another day in the world we live in. That boy that was late to class and was yelled at? The day before he was out working because his family needed the extra money so he accidentally slept in to try and get three hours of sleep and ended up being late. That girl who you just called gay? Killed herself that night. The guy you said was an asshole? Got shot on the way home. The girl you forced to wear a school uniform with a tiny skirt? Got rapped on the side of the road. That black family you saw? Shot and killed. What do we see on the news these days? Death, murder, rape, suicide, abuse, and more crimes then a child should see. Children are terrified of other people and even their own parents. This is the world we live in. We need to change the world we live in. I dont want to live in a world where you cant bring children into it because of being terrified of them being killed or being scared of climate change because no one wants to take it seriously and just fix the problem and listen to the earth. Everyday I wonder if I will even make it another day and I feel lucky for each day that I get blessed with. I am in fear everyday. I hear about shootings of people killing my people, kids, colored people and the list goes on. We should not be scared for our life every time we leave the house. The world we live in needs to change.
