A Snapshot AU X-over short story
A small gasp left the newcomers lips as he spawned into the world and slowly observed his surroundings. His bright turquoise green eyes shimmered as the reflection of sunlight on the water hit them. He smiled a little at the salty ocean breeze that rustled his fluffy mess of ginger hair.
He looked down at the sandy island he hovered inches above before letting himself land, the soft crunch of his footsteps reaching his ears.
He looked up again, taking note of the nether portal and the chest with a sign offering boats placed by someone named Joe Hills.
He hadn't met Joe before but knew he was one of the hermits.
Perhaps Grian could- he stopped and shook his head.
No, not now. Right now he was on a very important mission.
He needed to find Grian. Not his Grian. This dimension's Grian.
He still wasn't exactly sure how he ended up here in the first place but whatever had brought him here had informed him that something was wrong in this dimension and it involved Grian.
He could see what he assumed was the shopping district from the spawn island and started to move towards it but was caught by surprise when someone grabbed his arm and pulled him through the nether portal.
It took him a moment to adjust to the change before looking up when someone spoke.
"You 'Koray'?" Their voice was masculine but had a strange echo to it.
When he looked up, he examined the person in front of him.
The man wore a dark armor that he had never seen before and he was about a head taller than he was and was observing him with gleaming red eyes. His pointed ears poked out from his blond hair which was mostly hidden under his helmet.
He shifted a bit, intimidated by them but noticed they were uneasy too before he nodded. "I am. And you are?"
The man shook his head, grabbed Koray's wrist and pulled him along, a bit roughly. "No time for that."
Koray gasped and stumbled after him. "Where are you taking me?"
"Somewhere safe." Was all he replied before he stopped at another portal. He turned to Koray. "Stay here until I give the all clear."
Koray nodded and watched him disappear through the portal before his hand reached back through and gestured to follow.
Koray stepped out and into what appeared to be the shopping district, just under what looked like a courthouse... it looked familiar... like one he'd seen in a movie perhaps? He couldn't quite place it before he was being dragged along again.
"Stay low, stay quiet, and stay close."
Koray activated his hover ability and hovered silently above the ground, trailing after the strange nether man.
He was led to a large white concrete building as they snuck around.
The man stopped and pulled him out of sight when some people passed by.
He got a glimpse and recognized one as Mumbo but then he realized... something wasn't right about him.
Then Mumbo turned to face their direction.
Oh.
So that's what was off...
He... was an android now?
Koray was fairly sure that wasn't supposed to be how it was but... he could be wrong. He hadn't really seen Mumbo face to face before. He only knew the stories Grian had told him of the man.
Once they passed, the man carefully led him into the store and shut the doors that had recently been added to the store and blocked them off so they couldn't easily open.
Koray watched him before they heard someone moving around and turned only to come face to face with the nether man's look-alike? Who was pointing an enchanted diamond sword at them.
The newcomer had blond hair and pointed ears like the other but he wore silver armor and had bright blue, tired but determined, anxiety filled eyes staring them down as he stood stiffly, prepared to defend himself and this place but stood down when he realized who it was and let out a shaky sigh of relief.
"Hels, we were starting to worry you didn't make it."
The nether man, Hels, scoffed. "I wasn't gone that long." He replied coldly.
The other didn't argue. "Did you have any trouble?"
Hels rolled his eyes. "We had to hide from some of the androids-"
"You mean some of the hermits." The other corrected firmly.
Hels glared at him. "Some of the 'hermits'," he emphasized the word. "But other than that, no."
The other nodded at that then turned to Koray.
"So this is the mysterious Koray, huh?"
Koray nodded. "Indeed, I am." He confirmed. "And you are?"
The man smiled and offered his hand, having lowered his diamond sword. "Wels Knight. Pleasure to meet you. Though I wish it were under better circumstances."
Koray shook his hand before Hels cleared his throat. "Alright, I did what you asked. I'm going back to the nether. Don't come looking for me." He told him coldly.
Wels sighed but nodded. "I... I know we are supposed to be enemies, Hels, but... be safe."
Hels had started to turn and leave but stopped and was quiet for a moment before muttering, "You too..." and disappeared out the door with Wels blocking it behind him.
Koray watched as Wels sheathed his sword and gestured for him to follow.
Koray walked after him without hesitation.
"I know you have questions like we do, but let's get into the safe room first."
Wels explained, before pushing in a random concrete block, revealing a secret passageway.
They walked in and the wall seal behind them. He led him downstairs, through a small maze and to a password protected door. He entered the code and the door swung open and they passed through before it shut behind them.
They then approached a single door at the end of the hall.
He knocked in a pattern and pressed a button that was to the side.
Koray noticed it had a sign to the right of it and took a second to read it. 'I am not a robot.'
He looked a bit confused, and ever so slightly offended before the door was pulled open and Wels stepped in with Koray quickly following behind him.
Koray looked around as the door was shut and sealed behind them.
He saw a young woman in a pink suit sitting beside a young man in a stranger looking suit who appeared to have been crying recently.
Both had short brown hair but the girl had flowers in her hair and the man had scars across his face along with freckles.
"So this him?" A deep German accented voice spoke up, startling Koray.
Wels nodded. "Yep. Hels got him here safely then headed out."
Koray got a good look at the German man. He appeared to be half creeper and half cyborg.
It unsettled him quite a lot if he was honest.
The man offered his hand after a moment. "Doc M." He introduced himself.
Koray shook his hand timidly which Doc smirked at a little.
The girl perked up. "Ello hun, I'm Stress."
The man sniffed and looked up, managing a small shaky smile. "And I'm Scar."
Koray nodded at them. "Hello. My name is-" he stopped for a moment before clearing his throat and shaking his head. "Ah, sorry. My name is Koray." He finished.
"What brings you here and how did you get here?" Doc asked.
Koray turned to him. "I'll be honest with you. How I got here is a bit of a mystery to me too, but why I'm here I know some of... Whatever or whoever brought me here told me something was going on and I might be able to help."
Doc scoffed. "'Something going on' is a bit of an understatement."
Wels nodded at that with a small frown. "Just a bit..."
Stress looked at the small redhead. "But it told ya that you might help?" she asked.
Koray turned to her and nodded. "And that it involved Grian but other than that I have no clue."
Doc frowned a little. "You know Grian?"
Koray was getting a bit tired of spinning around to look at everyone but nodded once again. "Well... Sort of."
"You sort of know Grian? How does that work?" Scar asked, confused.
Koray rubbed the side of his arm nervously. "Well..." he wasn't sure how they'd react but... they deserved to know and he needed to be honest with them. "I know a Grian." He replied which only confused them all more before Doc stepped forward.
"If you tell me that you are friends with that little corrupted monster of android, I will not hesitate to put you down." His robot eye glowed red, illuminating the dimly lit room.
Stress quickly hopped up and put her hands on his arm. "Doc, wait. He could help us!" she pointed out.
Doc glanced at her then back at Koray who looked submissive and let himself become vulnerable as he looked up at Doc, hesitantly. He sighed before nodding. "Fine. Finish."
Koray released his held breath before nodding. "I'm from another dimension. I don't know your Grian." he explained. "As for the... android... Well..." He took a deep breath before his appearance changed to look strikingly like Grian.
All four of them jerked back and Doc and Wels drew weapons, aiming at him.
"H-How?! Y-You can't be him! Your user is still different! Hell- You have a user!" Doc demanded answers.
Koray took a step back with his hands up. "Wait, please! I can explain!" he tried but Doc just growled and pushed the sword closer.
"We trusted you!"
Koray's deep blue almost black eyes looked up at them, sadly. "I-I'm not like him... please, I do want to help you..." He tried but remained still with his hands up submissively.
Wels stopped Doc. "Even if he is with him we can't risk sending him back to him. He knows where we are."
Doc gritted his teeth in anger, slamming his fist against the wall, making Koray, Scar, and Stress flinch.
Koray didn't dare lower his hands but was taken by surprise when Scar pushed past them and approached him.
They stared at each other in silence for a good moment or two before Scar put a hand on his shoulder and turned to Doc and Wels, a small sad smile on his face. "He doesn't have the gauntlet... and he's telling the truth... I know he is." he smiled at Koray who looked up at him with surprise before returning the smile with gratitude.
"That's what we all thought about It." Doc growled.
Stress joined Scar on Koray's other side. "I trust 'im too." She replied. "We can't just... 'ide 'ere forever." She pointed out. "If we've got a chance to turn the tide, I say we take it."
Wels watched the two of them put their hands on his shoulders but Koray remained in the submissive posture but was smiling softly.
"I only want to help. I'll do everything I can to fix this. It may end up not being much but... I'll try." He promised them, firmly.
Wels looked at Doc who looked back at him before hesitating and sighing and lowered his sword. "Fine but you need to explain yourself."
Wels sheathed his sword, following Doc's example. "And let's make a plan, shall we?"
Koray smiled brightly, lowering his hands and nodded. "Right."
--------
It was a bit later as Koray explained who he was and where he came from to the hermits. How he had once been known as NPC Grian but went by Koray now ever since he was caught in a server crash accident and was rescued by Evil Xisuma, whom he referred to as Exy, and was given a new body as his old one was trashed and assigned a username thus becoming a official player.
How he and Exy lived peacefully on a little non whitelisted server called Kermitcraft, they were quite amused by the name, where they were good friends with a lot of the residents on the server.
Exy had parted ways with the server sometime ago and only visited a few times recently but it had been awhile since he came back.
He explained how he and his Grian hadn't gotten along and how he kinda sorta was possessed by a demon because of Grian and how the demon had permakilled quite a few people in his body.
He was quick to reassure the demon no longer shared a body with him and was gone and dead.
He explained Grian had come by and helped fix his old body before the server crash and they mended their bond and talked it out. Now they visit each other quite often and just hang out.
"So maybe he just needs to talk it out!" He chirped optimistically.
Stress shifted with a frown. "I... I'd really like to believe that hun' but... You haven't seen him... I don't think talking will fix this."
The boys nodded in agreement.
"It's far past the point of talking it out." Doc replied.
Koray frowned at that, still sitting in his old form. He hummed in thought before standing up. "What all has he done?"
"Well, he's turned about half of us into mind washed androids and the other half has vanished into thin air. We can't find them." Wels explained.
Koray paced a little. "Well, there's a good chance he can't change me, especially if I alter some code to protect myself, but if he takes me to the others, I could possibly rescue them." he turned to them.
Doc raised an eyebrow. "How would you do that?"
Koray just grinned. "Glad you asked!" He took a step towards them before vanishing right in front of them.
They looked around wildly before he tapped Doc on the shoulder from behind, still grinning as the Creeper man turned to him. "H-How did you-?!"
Koray vanished again, reappearing where he had been before. "I can teleport to anywhere I can see, and if I have seen a place before I can teleport it if I can get a good mental image but it's not as fine tuned." he explained.
"Huh." Doc looked him over. "What else you got up your sleeve?"
Koray put a hand to his chin, with a hum. "Oh gee, I don't know..." He replied but Scar and Stress gasped in surprise.
"You're floatin'!" Stress pointed out, eyes bright with interest.
Scar was beaming. "How are you doing that?!"
Koray giggled as he now much more obviously hovered off the ground, shifting his position to almost ball up as he laughed before unraveling and grinned. "It's just something Grian installed into me for my original purpose. To reach places without having to use scaffolding while building." He replied. "But other than these two things that's pretty much it."
Wels nodded. "Still things we can use to our advantage."
Koray turned to him with a small frown. "Wait, are you planning on coming with me?"
Doc and Wels exchanged glances. "We were."
Koray frowned deeper, still floating but was rising a little bit. "But you could get hurt! Please, just let me go and try to talk to him. If things go south I'll be the only one at a low risk!"
They glanced at each other before reluctantly agreeing. "Come back here if you can't get through to him. And be careful. We're counting on you."
He nodded firmly, landing on the ground. "Right."
---------
Koray teleported out of the building and walked towards the courthouse, his appearance now back to his ginger haired one. He looked around as he walked before stopping, spotting something that caught his interest. He headed towards it and soon stopped on a large platform with a giant robot on it.
He felt the robot's gaze lower and settle on him but he was undeterred and smiled brightly giving a friendly wave. "Hello! My name is Koray! Who are you?" He asked chipper.
The robot studied him for a moment before replying. "Grumbot."
Its voice sounded vaguely like Grian's but slightly off.
Koray just smiled wider. "Pleased to meet you!" He offered his hand.
Grumbot didn't move for a moment before gently taking the small hand between his fingers and shaking his hand before releasing it.
Koray stepped back. "So Grumbot! What is it that you do?" He asked.
Grumbot was... intrigued by this strange child. He seemed familiar, yet... new. "I was built by my dads to help them win the mayoral competition." he replied, folding his hands in front of him, watching the small figure.
"Dads, huh?" Koray asked, looking him over. "Well, if I had to guess I'd say that'd be Grian and uh, is it Mumbo who has the bushy mustache Grian talks about stealing all the time?" He asked, somewhat to himself but was surprised when Grumbot spoke up.
"Correct. They are my dads." He confirmed. "However NPC Grian has taken the place of creator Grian as he has abandoned me."
Koray jerked his head up to stare at the bot. "Wh-What?" He asked. "He... abandoned you? How do you know that?"
"Father NPC Grian told me so."
Koray frowned deeply. "But... how would he know? Maybe he's held up or, or stuck somewhere?" He tried.
Grumbot shook his large head. "Negative. Calculations confirm that Creator Grian has a 95% chance of abandoning his creations."
Koray visibly flinched at that. Well... He couldn't say he was wrong...
"Well... What about that other 5%?" he asked.
Grumbot studied him for a moment before answering. "Creator Grian has a 95% chance of abandoning his creations. The other 5% is broken up like the following; 1%; he is stuck somewhere or unable to return to them for a reason he cannot control. Another 1%; he is simply too busy and forgot. The remaining 3%; he is dead." He replied flatly.
Koray stared at the robot. Okay, those couldn't be right! Surely being stuck or busy would be 2% and dead be 1%! Right?
Koray was about to argue with him but turned when he heard elytras and fireworks.
"Hide." Grumbot's voice caused him to whirl around and stare at the robot again in surprise by the urgency and concern in its tone.
He hesitated before shaking his head. "Sorry bud, I can't do that. I need to talk to your dads." He replied just as he heard people land behind him.
"Heya, Grum- Wait, who are you?"
Koray flinched at the voice. It sounded like Grian but he knew it was really his alternate self. Taking a deep breath, he spun to face him and to his surprise, a few others.
He had expected Mumbo to be with him, but he was surprised by the other three. He didn't know who they were as he hadn't met most the hermits before.
One was a redhead like him but looked like a zombie.
Another wore a green hoodie and one of his eyes was metal. He also looked robotic in a few other places like the zombie did.
The third one was dressed like a pharaoh with a big grey beard and like the others also was partly an android. He also had a cat curled around his shoulders who appeared to have been turned too.
Koray tried not to let the extra crowd deter him and gave them a warm smile. "Ah, Hello! I'm Koray." He introduced himself. "It seems you're the first people other than Grumbot here I've encountered since arriving!"
NPC Grian looked at him, uncertainly. They were exactly the same height but looked vastly different. He then gave a smile. "Nice to meet you Koray! I'm NPC Grian! This is Mumbo, Cleo, Iskall, Cub, and the cat is Jellie!" he pointed everyone out. "And you already seem to know Grumbot."
Koray nodded. "Ah, yes! He caught my attention while I was looking for others."
NPC Grian nodded. "Yeah, most of us are out and about right now and the others aren't here right now." He explained casually.
"Oh! Would Grian happen to be here?" Koray asked but realized that was thin ice as the androids all turned their attention to him. Even Jellie.
"Grian? No. He's not around right now. Why? Do you know him?" NPC asked, clearly a bit uncomfortable and uneasy.
Koray nodded. "Ah, yeah. We're friends from way back. We haven't talked in ages though. Sucks he's not around right now, I would have loved to meet up with him. Anyway," he dismissed the matter. "What's been going on?" He asked, trying to be discreet.
NPC frowned when Koray dismissed the subject of Grian so easily, as if he'd expected him not to be around. "... You aren't just here for no reason. Are you?" He questioned.
Koray took a step back, surprised by the accusation. "What?" He replied, confused. "I-I don't know what you're talking about?" He answered.
NPC narrowed his eyes. "You're a spy for them, aren't you? They've reached out to their friends outside the server to come help deal with me, haven't they?" He stepped closer to Koray who stepped back until he was pressed against Grumbot.
"I-I-"
NPC stood in front of him. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" He demanded.
"I told you! I'm Koray! I don't know how I got here-!"
NPC glared at him. "You're lying. I don't like liars."
"But I'm not-!" Koray tried but NPC raised his hand covered by a gauntlet and snapped his fingers.
Koray flinched and braced himself but slowly looked up when nothing happened.
"Wh-What?!" NPC hissed before snapping a few more times but still nothing happened.
Koray hesitated before stepping forward, making NPC step back. "W-What are you trying to do to me?" He asked after a moment.
NPC flinched at that but kept trying to snap.
Koray frowned a little but it was more out of pity. "If you're trying to convert me, that won't work."
NPC glared at him. "Why not?!" He demanded.
"Because," He stepped forward again before letting his appearance change back to his original state once more before looking up and looking eyes with a terrified and shocked NPC. "I already am one."
"Y-You're-"
"NPC Grian." Koray finished for him, watching him with his dark eyes.
"T-That's not possible! There can't be two of me-!" NPC argued before realizing. "Unless... He..." He grew angry rather quickly. "That good for nothing creator replaced me! With you!" He pointed at Koray accusingly.
Koray was taken back by the assumption before shaking his head quickly. "No, no! He didn't! You're the only one he made." He reassured him. "I'm from another dimension. I was sent here to help."
NPC glared at him, hand on his sword handle. "Help? Help who? Grian?" He hissed.
Koray thought. "Well... Yes. And no. I'm here to help both of you."
NPC stopped confused. "What?"
"I can help you both! I can help at least start the mending process for both of your relationships if you just-" He gasped as NPC aimed at him.
"There is no relationship between us." He growled.
"Actually, a relationship doesn't have to be a good one. It can be one full of hate and loathing but it'd still be a relationship."
NPC glared at him. "Shut up!"
Koray stood firm. "No."
NPC shook. "I SAID SHUT UP!" He swung the blade at Koray who simply dodged with ease, predicting the motion.
"I'm not done talking." he replied, stepping towards NPC who stepped back, growing anxious again.
"You dragged all these innocent people into you and Grian's mess, damaging your relationships further with Grian but now all these people too. Just because you control them doesn't mean they aren't aware of what's happening."
NPC's eyes widened. "You don't know what you're talking about-"
"Yes! I do! Because I've been there!" Koray snapped. "In fact, I'm only recently free from that!"
NPC flinched when Koray yelled. "I-I-"
"I was possessed by a demon, who my Grian by the way, put inside me! The demon killed people! Permanently! And I could only watch! He hurt so many innocent people! He hurt my friends! He hunted after Grian like he was wild game! Sure, I was free of the closet but I was now a prisoner in my own body! Just like them!" He pointed at the androids.
"You didn't have to do this!" Koray threw his hands out to the side. "You never had to-"
"YOU DON'T KNOW THAT!" NPC yelled. "HE MADE ME DO THIS!"
"Then tell me what happened! Let me help you! Help me understand!" Koray yelled back.
"HE CAME AFTER ME WITH A CROWBAR! HE BEAT ME OVER AND OVER TRYING TO DESTROY ME JUST BECAUSE HIS FRIENDS LIKED ME!" He shook as he yelled. "JUST BECAUSE FOR ONCE IN MY MISERABLE LIFE I WAS HAPPY! AND TO HIM THAT'S NOT ALLOWED!"
Koray watched him start to break down. "...Did you give him reason to be scared of you?"
"Wh-What? No! I-" He stopped seeing the look Koray gave him before reluctantly turning away. "I... I threatened him... BUT! Only to keep him from thinking about taking me back to the closet! I didn't hurt him until he hit first!" He argued.
Koray sighed. "I've come to find that threatening people usually results in them being scared of you and can lead to unexpected reactions. Such as doing what they see as protecting themselves and their friends from threats. Even if he was in the wrong in the first place and deserved to be threatened."
NPC stared at him. "I-"
Koray took a step forward. "Look, I know you're in a bit deep now but... If I could forgive my Grian for everything his choices put me through, and yes, it took time, and a lot of work, but if we can get along now and actually forgive and enjoy each other's company and friendship, then surely you can talk it out and figure it out too!" He held his hands out and open as he talked, his dark eyes soft and reassuring. "I'll even help, just take my hand. Let's put an end to this."
NPC was glaring at him as he explained but his eyes softened and stared at the extended hand before accepting it.
Koray smiled brightly. "See! I promise I'll help however I can! Let's go get Grian-!" He squeaked as he was slammed against Grumbot with his wrist pinned and a diamond sword at his throat.
"Heh, you are so naive... Haven't you realized? You can't trust anyone! No one truly cares about you! They just use you and toss you away when they're done!" He yelled, making Koray flinch.
NPc chuckled darkly. "No... No one cares... Not really... no matter what they tell you..." He looked to the side with a tired, sad smile. "Friends are one of the greatest lies these humans have ever created. So much so that they believe their own lie." He closed his eyes before turning back to Koray, eyes glowing red. "But I've found the truth. And I intend on making others realize it too." He grinned widely and moved to swing the sword to hit Koray but hit concrete as Koray vanished. "Wh-What?!" he spun around only to meet Koray's fist in his face, sending him stumbling back into Grumbot.
Koray's eyes were narrowed as he looked very, very pissed off. "I tried to give you a chance. I was patient. I listened. I let you yell and scream and push me around!" he said before chuckling dryly, making NPC shudder a little, eyes widening with fear.
"But like you said, I'm naive. I wanted to believe you had a chance. That I could fix this. That I could help you." He scoffed before opening his eyes and locking them with NPC's. They were glowing a vibrant red. "I was wrong." He swung again, NPC just barely dodging his fist with a gasp.
NPC lunged with his sword but stumbled again with Koray vanished. He spun when Koray laughed from behind him. "Oh, haven't you learned yet? You can't hit me like that." He swung again but this time Koray leapt into the air before vanishing.
"You really like swinging that thing around, huh?" He asked cockily.
NPC spun around but stepped back in shock as he found Koray floating a few feet off the ground with a grin. "Aw, can you not do this? How sad." Koray mocked as he hovered higher when NPC tried to jump to reach him.
NPC shook as he glared at him and turned to the androids who had simply been watching the whole time. "Get him!" He demanded.
The androids looked at him then up at Koray who watched them with a smirk. They didn't move.
NPC looked flustered. "I-I said get him!"
They turned back to NPC.
He flinched under their gaze and stepped back. "G-Guys?"
They looked at each other, communicating silently.
"Seems your hold isn't as strong as you thought." Koray commented as he laid back, mid air. "And I gave them that little edge to help try to fight for control of themselves."
NPC took a shaky step back when they turned to him, the look in their eyes wasn't one he cared to see aimed at him. "H-Hey, wait a minute-!"
They moved towards him, surrounding him and cornering him against Grumbot who aided them to contain him.
"Wh-What do you think you're doing?!" he demanded.
They didn't answer him as they stood their ground. They didn't move towards him other than that.
Koray lowered himself to the ground in front of NPC, eyes black again. "You don't have power over them. At least, not right now."
NPC looked confused before his eyes widened. "Y-You did this?!"
Koray shrugged. "Sort of. Yes, I'm communing with them and doing my best to keep your ties severed from them but they are making their own choices at the moment."
NPC looked at them, fearfully. "You... You can't do this!"
Koray shook his head. "No. You shouldn't have done this." He corrected, teleporting right up to NPC and sliding his hand into NPC's gauntleted one.
NPC startled and tried to snap but with the hand clutching his, he couldn't. He gripped back in an attempt to hurt him but cried out when Koray squeezed back, denting the gauntlet's metal a little bit.
Koray grasped the gauntlet with his other hand and started trying to pry it free of NPC who desperately fought to keep it but when Mumbo stepped forward and grabbed at his clenched fist on Koray's hand and pried it out of a clutch, it came right off and instantly, Koray teleported away with it, putting distance between them.
"N-No! Give it back!" NPC screamed.
Koray shook his head. "I can't do that. You know I can't."
NPC tried to run at him but the others stopped him.
Koray watched sadly as elytra and fireworks could be heard approaching them.
"We got the message, you said you stopped him-?!" Doc landed on the platform but startled when he saw the androids, restraining one of the Grian NPC's. "W-Wait-" He grew uneasy but Scar stepped forward, waving up at Koray. "Did you really do it? Is it really over?"
Koray turned to them and landed on the ground in front of them, allowing them to see the gauntlet that had caused so much trouble as he changed back into his ginger haired self. "Not yet." He held it out towards them. "You all will have to repair the damage and make everything right again."
Doc took the gauntlet, cautiously.
Wels looked at NPC who had finally stopped struggling and was hanging limply in the other's grip, sobbing and crying incoherently. "What about him?"
Koray glanced over with a small frown. "... It is your choice."
Stress and Scar frowned at that. "That's it?"
Koray hesitated. "... I don't have the right to suggest what you do with the person who tore apart your lives-"
"But he's you!"
Koray flinched a little before sighing. "... Go... Go easy on him. Yes, punish him, make him understand that what happened wasn't okay. Have Grian talk to him, do NOT let him end up in the closet again, let alone locked up alone at all. If you really want things to get better, give him love and friendship. It'll take a long time, he's very broken and hurt, but... I know you all can do it." He turned to them.
"And for goodness sake, make him and Grian have a heart to heart and try to explain their feelings to each other and set ground rules. He was terrified that Grian would kill him after Grian beat him with a crowbar in the middle of the night, that's why he acted out. He was betrayed by his creator for the second time, and to be fair, he may have deserved it for threatening Grian in the first place, but again that was because he was scared Grian would lock him up again. But if Grian could betray him so easily, why couldn't all of you?" he explained, sadly as he turned to them.
Wels, Doc, Scar, and Stress stared at him before nodding slowly. "Right. We'll all talk about what to do once we reverse all this... Thank you." Wels told him.
Doc nodded. "I don't know what we would have done had whatever sent you here not done so. Who knows how that would have turned out."
Scar and Stress also bopped their heads in agreement. "For all we know we'd still be hiding, trying to think of a plan while he took over the server." Scar pointed out.
"I can't imagine where we'd be or what would even be happenin' had you not come here." Stress agreed.
Koray gave them a meek smile. "I'm just glad I could help. But I should probably get going, I'm sure I'll be pulled home soon."
They nodded, stepping back a little bit. "Goodbye, Koray. And thanks."
Koray smiled back. "Bye guys."
He vanished in a flash of light as he heard Doc snap with the glove, reverting everything back to how it was supposed to be.
He smiled softly as hoped they'd take his advice and work to show NPC that, friends weren't a lie, that people can and do truly care about you, and that even he could still be loved and forgiven after doing what he had.
