Ok I'm sorry

but I need to rant about this

So as many of you probably know today there was a global strike for the climate crisis. I participated, along with a bunch of my classmates. We went to the government building in our city, sat there with signs, talked to some politicians. Feels like we actually made a difference seeing as they agreed to create a group with a few of us and try to actually brainstorm and make some changes.

HOWEVER the rest of our class, instead of supporting our engagement, were just negative, and rude. WHY? Like please explain I really don't get it. We wanted to do this and we did. Nobody forced us, we didn't force anyone. The teachers approved and thought it was a good thing to do, and yet there are people who will just be negative about everything. Honestly, I have been trying not to care about it but even my friend, good friend, has been negative and mean about the fact that I tried to make a difference.

And no it wasn't just to skip school. We sat outside in the rain and cold for almost 6h and we're still going to have to do the school work. 

Still, it was amazing and I don't regret it.

So I'm just wondering did anyone else go to a protest? If so where?
