People are calling Solangelo abusive... for something that happened before they were in a relationship?

I read that scene and I honestly didn't think much of it like, Will was obviously frustrated that Nico keep pushing people away and that he wanted to leave because Will clearly wanted to be Nico's friend probably for a while now (when he said that there were people that would like to be his friend he was 100% talking about himself you ain't slick boy). And snapping at someone doesn't make a relationship abusive, friends snap at each other and so do couples so? I don't really get the whole "Solangelo is abusive" thing. Personally I really like their dynamic (even though it basically came out of nowhere) because I find it so funny how they annoy each other so much but you can also see that they enjoy each other's company.
