Why is it important to have a men's day?

Here is a chart of the amounts of suicides from 1990 to 2017 world wide assorted by male and female. (no binary sorry)

In 2015, 2/3s of suicides were men's.

And in that study, they found that 1.5% of deaths worldwide, were men commiting suicide.

Many men get shun or feel silenced for being raped. Many people have told me rape victims;

"Men can't get raped."

"Girls can't rape boys."

And

"You should've enjoyed the sex."

These are real problems we should take seriously. And we tend to try to fight for women's rights, yet we forget feminism is about EQUAL GENDER RIGHTS.

Yes, women are suffering.

Yes, men are suffering.

And yes, non binary people are suffering.

And we shouldn't prioritize one gender's rights over another.

Happy Men's Day.

This is why I celebrate it as much as I celebrate women's day.

Because both are important.

AND GET NON BINARY PEOPLE A FREAKING HOLIDAY!
