-I wipe the sweat from my forehead, forcing myself to run faster. I had finally picked a fight I couldn't win, but I couldn't give up. I hear Lloyds laugher, Jays smile flashes in my mind. My feet are at hot as Kai's temper, yet my mind as Zanes ice. And finally my power feels as if Cole had lent me his extra. The team, my team. I finally found a place I could call home. I had to protect it.

I ran until my legs felt like liquid, and started teleporting farther, until I finally had gotten far enough. By then I could feel my mind losing control. The overlord was taking over. After my father died it had chosen me as its host.

Only Jay knows. He's probably telling them what I'm doing at this moment, but it's too late. It has to be done.

I sigh, bringing my sword in front of me. A silent teardrop falls as I write in the sand. I move a few yards away, and smile and the blade moves closer to me heart. "It's over now..." I read, before everything goes black.
