If You Can Draw, Please ... Do Us All A Favor,
Stop drawing female warrior/fighter type characters half-naked folks, please?
I curse God for giving me the ability to create my characters and stories and then denying me the ability to draw them. I can't draw to save my life. No really, I can picture things so perfectly inside my head, but if I try to draw it comes out looking like something you melted in an Easy Bake oven.
I spent like two days trying to find images we could use on the fan-fiction my friend and I are writing on our joint account and it was torture. I swear you search "female-ranger/knight/warrior/archer" whichever and you'll regret most of the results. I get that these artists are trying to go for sexy and not realistic, but can some of them at least TRY, a little?
Fairly certain any women who fought in battles weren't doing it partially dressed. I know I'd want armor of some type protecting all my parts, thanks much. I dare the artists to have some tailor sew up one of their costumes, stick some woman in it, hand her a weapon, and send her racing across a battlefield fighting off attackers. Ten bucks says her jiggly bits fall out of the top of the outfit real quick. Most of those outfits are impractical—sexy—but impractical for fighting. And the weapons they show? Most look too heavy for a woman even to lift.
Oh, oh yes then there were the "artistically" done photos of the naked women doing archery. Honey, you ever have a bowstring snap you across the wrist? It hurts, a lot. Like A LOT—A LOT. You trust me, cupcake, you DO NOT want it to strike you across that boob, you'll be emotionally scarred for life.
Suffice it to say, I still haven't found the last photo I need for the other female Ranger for our book and I'm sadly disappointed about that. So if you are an artist, do those of us out here who are woefully untalented in that arena a favor and give us some fully (and realistically) dressed female warriors, we'd appreciate it very much!
