Rainpaw shook the bunch of leaves from her claws, watching Ashpool stack the herbs in piles. Tonight's the half-moon, the night medicine cats meet up at the Moonpool! I can't wait!
"So, Rainpaw, are you excited for the meeting?" Ashpool said, a spark of excitement in her voice.

Rainpaw nodded her head vigorously. "I can't wait to meet the other medicine cats!"

Ashpool smiled at her apprenrice's enthusiasm. "I'm glad."

The sun began to go down. Rainpaw bounced around the medicine den, not caring how ridiculous she must look.

"Rainpaw, calm down."

"I can't!" She replied. "I just can't calm down! I'm so excited for tonight and I just can't calm myself down because this is my first time meeting the other medicine cats and-"

She paused to take a breath. Before she could continue, her mentor placed her tail over the grey she-cat's mouth.

"Hey, Rainpaw!"

Hailpaw came running towards Rainpaw. She swiped a sheathed paw at her brother, and he rolled away. He jumped on top of Rainpaw, holding her down.

"I heard you're going to see the Moonpool!" Hailpaw said, letting Rainpaw get up. "Yes, we are. Now please go back to your den, we are leaving now," the medicine cat told Hailpaw.

He sighed in disappointment but obeyed. Rainpaw watched the sun get lower and lower. "It's time to go?" she asked. Ashpool nodded.

"Come on. We don't want to be late, Grasswhisker is very impatient."
