We're almost there! I can't wait! Rainpaw happily trotted beside her mentor to their destination. The Moonpool!

"Now, remeber, you might not see anything the first time. But if you do, you should tell me, alright?" Ashpool instructed. Rainpaw nodded, wondering what she might see.

Rainpaw jumped as she heard a crack behind them. "Hello there, Sootpelt." Rainpaw heard her mentor's voice.

The dark tabby smelled of RiverClan. "Sootpelt, this is my new apprenrice, Rainpaw." Sootpelt nodded at her. "Greetings. You've made a good choice, being a medicine cat."

Rainpaw was speechless. Are all medicine cats this friendly? I hope so, she wondered.

They kept walking. Soon, Rainpaw caught scent of another cat. It smelled like ShadowClan. "Grasswhisker! Greetings!" A brown tom enters the clearing. "Ashpool, Sootpelt." Grasswhisker says. He looks at Rainpaw.

"What is she doing here?" He hissed.

Rainpaw's neck fur bristled. What's wrong with me?

Ashpool warningly layed her tail on Rainpaw's back. She glanced up at her mentor.

"Rainpaw's my new apprentice." She said fondly. Grasswhisker snorted and continued on to the Moonpool.

Rainpaw lashed her tail in annoyance at the tom. He was not very friendly at all.

Rainpaw followed the other medicine cats and soon the RiverClan medicine cat appeared. Her name was Sunnyleaf.

The medicine cats arrived at the Moonpool. The moon was at its highest point in the starry sky.

"Alright, Rainpaw, when you go to the pool you will touch you're muzzle to the water and wait. StarClan will take care of the rest."

Rainpaw felt the adreneline rush through her veins as she stalked up to the silvery-blue water. She touched her muzzle to the water, and here's back in surprise. The water's so cold!

With a quick glance at Ashpool, who nodded at Rainpaw, she touched her muzzle to the pool. She noticed the other medicine cats do the same.

Everything went dark.
