Introduction
Update 7/12/19: These contests are no longer happening. Feel free to check out all the prompts and winning stories, though!
Welcome to the Radish Contests! If you read to the end of "The Fate of Minecraftia", you knew this was coming. But if you didn't, here it is!
Basically, I will release a prompt (most of the time related to one or more of my books), and all of you have one month to write a one-chapter story that follows this prompt.
Of course, these contests are completely optional, but if you write the best short story (in my opinion) out of all of the entries, you win a follow from me and a shoutout!
How do you participate? It's easy! All you have to do is write a story that follows the prompt. The story can be no longer than one part/chapter. It doesn't matter how many words are written in the chapter. You can publish this story in any book you want or make a new book, as long as you tag me in the chapter so I know to read it. You must be following me to tag me (that's how Wattpad works).
That's all you gotta do! You don't have to let me know that you will be participating in the contest, just make sure you tag me in your chapter.
After I read each entry, I will vote and comment on the chapter. If you don't see that I have voted/commented and it's getting near the end of the month, please message me reminding me to read it. I'm forgetful sometimes.
Victors of the Kik Comps, I suggest not participating since you're all good writers and have already gotten a lot of publicity from me. But I'm not stopping you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I will release a prompt at the beginning of every month. You do not have to participate in every month's contest. You can participate in all of them, multiple of them, just one of them, or none of them.
The prompts will usually be related to either: one or more of the books of the "Minecraft Story" series (consisting of AMS, APS, TGW, TH, TFOM, and the first three parts of Radish Stories) or one or more of the books of the "Total Drama Minecraft" series (consisting of TDM, TDN, TDBT, and TDMR), so I suggest reading those books. But of course, if you haven't read the book that the prompt is related to, you don't have to participate.
At some point there may also be a month or two where the prompt is not related to any of my books at all. But most of the time, they will be.
These contests are your chance to prove how skilled of a writer you are! I encourage everyone to participate!
The first prompt will be released at some point on Saturday, March 31st, 2018 EST. You will have until the end of April to complete it. A final date will be announced when I release the prompt.
I'm excited to read all your entries!
If you have any questions, feel free to comment here or message me privately.
Thanks for reading, and don't forget to vote, comment, and follow!
