WHEN WAS

Question:

When was the last time you laughed AT someone?

I included this because it is rare for me to laugh at people. I've watched my share of 'stupid humans' vids and Walmart folk letting it all hang out. I've also dutifully abstained from political incorrectness- in any form.

Today, in the supermarket with Dylan... I laughed. In fact I laughed so hard, we had to run and duck and weave aisles so the object of our derision didn't catch on. (The usual folks manning the cameras above would have relished this particular outing of ours!)

We both laughed. And ran, and ran into him again which of course brought on more laughter and quips which in turn necessitated more running and ducking aisles.

Why did we laugh at "him"?

He was a young guy, maybe 25? It was his pants! He wore a tight sweater with a shirt peeking just enough below; sported a slicked back hairstyle and had a smooth, fresh, glowing face. But it was his pants!

They were 'female shaped'. By this I mean they were 'guy suit-pants' but cut... curvy?

There was his butt, the creases below each cheek defined; there were his thighs, tapering to ankles with exposed white socks and 'dress shoes'.

Side on, the butt was 'perky'.

That's what set off the laughter. We both caught a glimpse of his curvaceous perky butt and... then followed to see if what we'd seen had been what we'd seen? Then! Then we caught sight of his back, the cute and toned butt-cheeks, the 'hips'... and

Me: "Tell me this is not the new trend and he's not an early adoptee!"

Dylan: "Don't care. I'm never wearing woman high-pants. Or rompers."

*Rompers being the new fad of 'business and leisure onesies' for blokes.

Me: "If I ever catch you in either, I will disinherit you!"

Dylan: "What? Not pass on your debts? How's that a threat?"

Me: "I take that back damn it."

(The above appears a somewhat sane exchange- but not if you factor in that it was on the run, in-between ducking behind people and produce and with voices raised!)

So. I laughed at someone today. Maybe I was really laughing at what the world has become- the poor young bloke bearing the brunt of my inglorious protest. Maybe.

Have you ever laughed at someone? Why?
