Simon was back in the club with Asia. She had apparently already met Issei so they were talking.

Rias: A priest. Huh?

Simon: Yeah, but his powers were nothing as soon as I transformed.

He looks over to Asia, who seemed to be feeling better.

Simon: So. What are we gonna do with her?

Rias: Well, I could use a bishop...

Simon: Seriously?

Rias: Well according to her, she's an orphan raised by the church. If she goes back, they'll probably have her killed for protecting a demon and getting in the way of a priest.

Simon:...

He looks back to Rias.

Simon: But she doesn't go to school here. She can't just walk in and out!

Rias: Oh, she can stay here! This place is a really old dorm from back when those were a thing. We got to it before it was demolished! There's a shower, fridge, these couches, everything she could need!

Simon: Hmm... Okay. If you say so.

A Few Days Later—

The Sports Festival. After days of training and preparation, it was finally time. Most people spent time working out and training their quirks, but Simon only had to tinker with the Omnitrix so he could unlock some new transformations. After getting a good handle on them, he knew he was ready. He woke up, got him and Ryuko breakfast (it's just instant ramen), and they were both off to school. They sat with Issei and Mako like usual and got to the front gates. The campus had stands for guests to buy food and merchandise, heroes, hunters and even priests were around for security. Simon and Issei were a bit cautious because of that, but kept composure. That is until Simon, distracted by the commotion, bumps into someone.

Simon: Oh, sorry-

He paused, seeing the man who was in front of him.

Freed: Oh, it's no problem young one!

He hadn't shown off his human form to the priest so he didn't recognize him.

Freed: Enjoy the festival!

He walks past him. Simon stood there for a second.

Simon(thinking): He must have convinced them he was attacked. Great.

Later—

Everyone was in gym uniforms, sitting in a prep room and waiting for the tournament to begin.

Mina: I can't wait! Sucks we can't wear our costumes though.

People were chatting while several sat by themselves and planned for the upcoming fights.

Simon(thinking): If I get her then It'd be best to go with XLR8 since I can stop her before she can even make anything. Then for Mina-

Red and White: Tennyson.

Simon looks up at the boy with red and white hair. Todoroki, he heard someone call him.

Todoroki: I want to say that I know you have a very unpredictable quirk. I want to say that I hope you put up a good fight, though I will still defeat you.

It was blunt, but Simon respected his forwardness.

Kaminari; Hey! Why're you calling him out like that!?

Mina: Yeah! No need to be mean!

Simon: Eh, it's fine guys.

Todoroki: We aren't here to be friends. Don't forget this isn't a team effort.

He turns and walks away.

Simon: Well, Todoroki. I hope you are ready since I've got a transformation ready just for you!

Todoroki nods before walking away. Simon held his smile.

Simon(thinking): Hopefully I get to fight him, it would probably be actually fun!

Meanwhile—

The stadium was filled with cheering onlookers, as a large screen changed to display Aizawa along with another hero, Present Mic.

Mic: Hey-o! Make some noise, all you spoiled sports fans!!!

The crowed cheered in excitement.

Mic: Get those cameras prepped, media hordes! This year, we're bringing you some of the hottest performances in Remnant's history, guaranteed! I've only got one question before we start the show: ARE YOU READY!?!?!?

They cheer louder as the eccentric man did his best to hype them up.

Present Mic: Let me hear you scream as our students make their way to the main stage!

As he said that, class 1-A along with all of the other hero/hunter classes strut out onto the field wearing the matching uniforms.

Simon(thinking): Gonna be hard to gauge the other classes since I know very little about them, but I can always just watch their other matches.

???: And now for the introductory speech!

Simon had only now realized he had zoned out, looking up at the stage to see who was going to be giving said speech.

Simon(thinking): Oh, her.

Midnight was always weird to him. Her quirk involved producing a gas from her skin that made people pass out if inhaled. On her first outing she was walking around in pasties and a micro thong, but after realizing she was often going to be rescuing kids, she agreed to the costume she wore now. Still, she couldn't help but make her entire brand bdsm themed for some reason. Simon noticed the crowd cheer harder when she revealed herself.

Simon(thinking): Gee, I wonder why.

Midnight: Silence, everyone!

She cracks her whip. The introductory went on until it was time to start the games.

Midnight: This is where you'll begin feeling the pain!

She sat, a little too excitedly.

Midnight: The first fateful game of the festival!

The screens around the stadium a wheel that after spinning, lands on a game called "Obstacle Race".

Simon: Okay, seems self explanatory.

Midnight: All classes will participate in this treacherous contest! The track is four kilometres around the outside of the stadium. I don't wanna restrain anyone, at least in this game.

She licks her lips.

Midnight: as long as you don't leave the course, you're free to do whatever your heart desires!

The crowd cheered.

Midnight: Now then, take your places, contestants!

All of the students gathered around the starting area, Simon readying his Omnitrix.

Simon(thinking): I could just go XLR8...

He glances at Todoroki, a faint mist flowing from his palm.

Simon(thinking): But I won't.

The countdown went off and Simon transformed. Todoroki covered the entrance with ice as he ran through, blocking everyone inside. Everyone except Simon.

Arctiguana: Arctiguana! Sorry Todo!

He slipped through the ice.

Arctiguana: Gonna have to try harder than that!

He slid across Todoroki's ice that he made. As the boy ran, a few other students trail behind.

Bakugo: YOU THINK IMMA LET YOU GET AWAY WITH THAT ICY HOT!?!?!?

Arctiguana: Chill out dude!

A beam of ice shot from the lizards mouth and hit his left hand, the explosion following scattering steam everywhere and sending Bakugo tumbling.

Arctiguana: Nice wipeout hot hands!!!

In a flash of green, he changed again.

Skidmarx: Skidmarx! Now, to win this thing!

Present Mic: And there you have it folks! Simon Tennyson showing off the capabilities of his "DNA Mixer" quirk at its finest!

This transformation was slower than XLR8, yet still fast. It kept him balanced on the ice as he sped ahead, feeling something land on his back.

Skidmarx: That you Mineta?

Mineta: You know it! Let's give Todoroki a taste of what it's like to get stuck in place!

She says excitedly.

Simon: Heh, good idea!

Todoroki keeps skating ahead.

Todoroki: More students got through than I would have liked...

Skidmarx: Hey Todoroki!

He looks ahead to see the four legged alien running ahead of him with Mineta on his back.

Mineta: Suck my grapes!

Skidmarx: Not as cool as you think it is buddy!

Mineta threw as many of her grapes as she could, Todoroki dodging as many as he could before getting stuck.

Mineta: Haha! How pathetic Todoroki- WAH!!!

Simon did a twirl, evading a strike from a robot.

Robot: Target Acquired!

Skidmarx: The zero point robots from the entrance exam!?

Present Mic: Ooooh! Enemies have showed up out of nowhere! I bet we're in for a treat here! A test of strength and cunning!!!

Simon(thinming): If we run past now, that'll keep everyone else distracted so I can cross the finish line faster! But I'm not here to win, just here to show off!

He hit the Omnitrix symbol, dropping Mineta and becoming a small green creature.

Upchuck: Upchuck!

Mineta: What's that thing supposed to do!?

The front robot tried going for a punch only for Upchuck to open his mouth, suddenly lashing out three tongues that start pulling in the hand. First the arms slid down his throat, then the head and body, the other arm, then the legs. After eating the whole thing his now bloated belly started glowing, Upchuck spitting out a beam of energy that blasted the remaining robots in two at best.

Present Mic: HOLY HABANERA!!! Tennyson just sliced those inferno robots into pieces with one attack! Ladies and gentlemen, you can trust me when I say we did not cut costs on our robots!!!

Simon transformed back into Skidmarx and started running again, grabbing Mineta as he flew by.

Mineta: That was insane!

Skidmarx: Well, we are here to get attention from pros, right?

Present Mic: Well the fist obstacle might have been a bit of a pushover, this next one sure won't be!!!

They came to a deep pit with small pillars connected with wires were set up as a way across.

Skidmarx: Okay, let's see...

He activated his Omnitrix again.

Ditto: Ditto!!!

Mineta: Another small one?

Simon started duplicating himself.

Ditto 1: Hey don't blame me!

Ditto 2: Or me!

Ditto 3: Or me!
Ditto 4: Or me!
Ditto 5: Or me!
Ditto 6: Or me!

The dittos start pushing each other across the course, forming bridges and acting as boosters for eachother. While they kept moving, people in the stadium were cheering for who they wanted to win. Many took notice of Simon's lead and unique quirk.

Random Hero: Who is that kid!?

Random man; I wish I had his quirk!

Random Woman: That transformation looks so cute!!!

Once across, the ditto's conjoin back into one and he became human again.

Simon(thinking): Gotta save up the last of my charge!

He ran as fast as he could, but heard explosions in the distance, signalling Bakugo's arrival. He made it to the final obstacle.

Present Mic: And here comes our final obstacle. Tread carefully because you're stepping onto a minefeild!

Simon: Oh, that's it?

He activated his Omnitrix and transformed.

Sandbox: Sandbox!

The low density of his body let him carefully shift over the ground without triggering the mines. He did have to speed up since the others were approaching fast. Bakugo and Todoroki were in hit pursuit.

Bakugo: YOU MESSED WITH THE WRONG PERSON TENNYSON!!!

Simon used his sand control to dig up some mines effortlessly, chucking them right at the explosion user. It hit and launched him back.

Sandbox: Sorry not sorry-

*BOOM*

There was a massive explosion as a massive pink cloud appeared at the back of the feild, Midoriya flying through the air riding a piece of scrap metal.

Sandbox: Oh, damn!

He transformed into XLR8, running while perfectly avoiding the mines. As Todoroki and Bakugo closed in, Midoriya started to fall, swinging the scrap metal downward and causing another explosion. Simon, Bakugo and Todoroki are knocked back but quickly recover as the final stretch began.

Present Mic: In a stunning move, Midoriya has blasted past his classmates from 1-A! I don't believe it— he cleared that minefield in an instant! Eraser Head, your students are incredible! What the heck teaching them!?

Aizawa: This has nothing to do with me. Each of them is powered by their own drive to succeed.

They all made it into the hallway right before the finish line. Midoriya ran out of the doorway but right before he crossed the line, XLR8 zoomed in a skidded to a stop.

Present Mic: AND SIMON TENNYSON IS THE WINNER, WITH MIDORIYA IN A CLOSE SECOND!!!!!

Simon became human.

Simon: Wooh!

He turns back to his friend.

Simon: Sorry for stealing your win Midoriya.

Midoriya: N-No...

He was catching his breath.

Midoriya: It's okay, y-you won fair and square! Good job!

They shake hands. More and more students came running in right after, coming mostly in groups of three or four.

Meanwhile—

The sports festival was on the tv. A teenage girl watching as Simon transformed back to human.

Girl:... Wow...

A wide, almost creepy smile spread across her face.

Girl: He's amazing...!

Meanwhile—

Mineta: That was amazing dude!

Simon: Thanks, uhh. How did you get here?

Mineta: I rode on Bakugo's back!

Simon looks over to see the angry guy struggling to get the grapes off of him.

Midnight: Now, let's see where we're standing!!!

A score board shows up, showing everyone's place in the rankings.

Midnight: Only the top 100 will advance to the next round. But don't be too let down if you didn't make the cut!

Simon(thinking): Most of my class got through, but I forgot to watch everyone else! Now I don't know who's got what quirk!

He looks around. Some of them spoke for themselves, but he couldn't be sure.

Midnight: Now the real fun is about to begin!

Simon looks up, Midnight having a red face and seemed to have some drool dripping from her mouth before she licked it off her lips. He also noticed two bumps poking through her shirt.

Simon(thinking): Who the heck let this pervert work here!?!?

Midnight: the chance to fully move yourselves into the limelight! Give it your best!

The wheel spun again.

Midnight: Let's see what we have in store for you next! Will your wildest fantasies come to life? What could it be!?

Her face got redder.

Midnight: The waiting is torture!!!

Simon(thinking): Please don't tell me I'm the only one seeing how weird this lady is!

Midnight: Prepare yourselves... for this!!!

The wheel came to a stop and displayed: "Cavalry Battle".

Simon(thinking): Hmm, well I wasn't expecting that.

Midnight: Allow me to explain!

Visuals appear on the screens.

Midnight: The participants will form teams of two-to-four people as they see fit! In theory, it's basically the same as a regular playground game, but there's one difference. Each player will be assigned a point value based on the results from the obstacle course!

Simon(thinking): Hah, this is gonna be fun!

Midnight: The point assignments go up by increments of five, starting from the bottom.

Simon looks at the scoreboard. Yup, he was at the top. Simon already knew what his plan would be: get as many points as possible! He felt everyone looking at him.

Midnight: That's right. It's survival of the fittest, where anyone at the bottom could easily take first place!

Simon(thinking): Well, lucky for me I already have a plan!

Midnight: You will now be given time to form your teams!

Simon turn and ran.

Simon: Mineta!

Mineta: Coming!

She ran towards where he was going. Simon ran through the crowd and found who he was looking for. His classmate, Mezou Shouji.

Simon: Shouji!

The man with six arms look at him.

Simon: I've got a plan, but it requires you! Can you be on our team?

He says as Mineta caught up.

Shouji:... Hm. Well, you seemed rather confident during preparations... Alright. What's your plan?

Simon: I'll explain as soon as we find our final piece to the puzzle, presuming she hasn't been recruited already. Tsu!? You around here!?

Tsu: I'm right here, ribbit.

Turns out she was right next to them.

Simon: Oh, perfect! Wanna join our team?

Tsu: If you really have a plan, ribbit.

Simon grins.

Simon: Okay! Here's the plan!
