WELCOME TO THE PUB-VERSE

!!!! ATTENTION !!!!

Hey Everyone!! First, we want to thank you all so much for your response to the Achievement Hunter Challenge!! It is going great so far!! We have almost filled our first book!! The poems are fantastic!! We would like to encourage everyone to join in by sharing some poems with us, reading and commenting on the poems submitted.

Second, it is not in the rules, (I will be updating them today) but PLEASE ONLY SEND 3 POEMS PER DAY.  We want to make sure that we get the poems posted and points recorded correctly and it is overwhelming if you send more than 3 at a time.

We would like to remind everyone, especially those new to the Pub, you can join in the Achievement Hunter and 100 Poem challenges at any time.

Poet in Perpetuum

The Poet in Perpetuum award is an award that I give out on a merit basis. To be chosen as a Poet in Perpetuum, I look for many traits.

The Recipient must be an active member of the Poets Pub. Not just one that votes on Poems from time to time, but one that is consistently visible in the Pub and constantly passing on their comments and encouragement to all those who have Poems posted on this site.

The Recipient is a constant participant in all challenges and competitions, providing inspiration simply by being a permanent fixture, whether they win or not. One who shows that the Pub is not about winning or losing, but simply about being a participant. Being a part of a community of their peers.

The Recipient must be a true believer in the Pubs credo:

The Poets Pub is a gathering place for ALL Poets. No judgement, no Egos ...  just support and inspiration.

The Poets Pub encourages all to find the 'inner Poet' and to share that special person with us.

The Poets Pub is a collection of Poets from all over the world.

No borders, no color, no religion, no language barrier.

Just a shared loved of Poetry.

We are friends, but evermore so, we are family.

The Recipient must practice the Poets Pub credo at all times and be true to a fault.

The Recipient must, at all times, share positivity, direction and inspiration to all those of the Pub, especially those who may feel a little out of place. For no one must ever feel out of place, at the Poets Pub.

Finally, the Recipient, in my eyes, must exemplify all that I feel a Pubber should be and one that I would proudly proclaim as an ambassador for the Poets Pub.

In the six years that the Poets Pub has been in existence, I have only handed out this prestigious award 5 times:

Throughout this trying last year, another has emerged that I feel, has all the qualifications to join this elite group of Poets.

This individual is, in my mind, a true Pubber and has been for many years. This individual fills all the criteria necessary to be awarded this tittle.

Even to this day, this individual continues to exemplify what it means to be a true Pubber.

For that devotion and inspiration, I have decide to award:

NehpetsEnal

the title of Poet in Perpetuum.

I congratulate my friend NehpetsEnal and thank him for all that he has done for the Poets Pub. It is an award well deserved.

I hope you will accept this award and have your name included with the past 5 recipients of this award and title.

2021 SUMMER POETRY CHALLENGES:

We have decided to do something different for the Summer.  As such THERE WILL BE NO MONTHLY CONTESTS FOR, JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST.  We have prepared two HUGE challenges for you!! And here is how it will all work:

1. You will need to create a book on your profile to post your poems in and YOU MUST send us the link to it. Your book will be added to the participant's list as well as our Summer Challenge Reading List.  (Send the link to us by Direct Message.)

2. Start writing poems! You have from June 1st to August 31st to write 100 poems.

3. Poems must be a minimum of 8 lines.

4. You CAN USE the Achievement Hunter Poems in the 100-poem challenge if you want.

5. Poets will be awarded 50 points for completing the 100-poem challenge.

6. An extra 2 points will be awarded for every poem over 100 poems.

7. If any Poet can fill a 200-poem collection, they will get a bonus of 100 points.

1. There will be a total of 81 Achievements and all poems written for this challenge MUST be submitted to the Poets Pub in a Direct Message and will be posted here.  If you decided to create a book on your profile for this challenge you are more than welcome to send us the link and we will add it to our Summer Challenge Reading List. 

2. We will be posting 27 Achievements per month. However, you can join in at any time. And you can do them in any order you would like.

3. Each achievement will be worth points (between 1-10 points) and the points are noted on each achievement. Once you have submitted your poem and we have determined that it fulfills the requirements of the challenge you will be awarded the points for that achievement.  EACH ACHIEVEMENT CAN ONLY BE SUBMITTED ONCE.

4. We will be keeping a list of participants and their total points, which will be published in the Chatter each week.

5. You CAN USE the Achievement Hunter Poems in the 100 poem challenge if you want.

6. Submissions: When you submit your poem, YOU MUST INCLUDE THE NUMBER FOR THE POEM YOU ARE SUBMITTING! That is the only way we will be able to award you the correct number of points.

7. Poets MUST respond to ALL COMMENTS made on their Poems. (When responding to comments please try to remember to tag the person who made the comment so that they will know you responded.)

8.  Please only send in 3 POEMS PER DAY.

POEM A WEEK CHALLENGE:

The purpose of this challenge is to simply encourage writing, taking the time, at least once a week, to get a poem from your brain on to paper.  If you would like to participate, the "how to" is below.

Busted Gulch Vol. 15 Update:
