September Midnight
By Sara Teasdale
Lyric night of the lingering Indian Summer,
Shadowy fields that are scentless but full of singing,
Never a bird, but the passionless chant of insects,
Ceaseless, insistent.
The grasshopper's horn, and far-off, high in the maples,
The wheel of a locust leisurely grinding the silence
Under a moon waning and worn, broken,
Tired with summer.
Let me remember you, voices of little insects,
Weeds in the moonlight, fields that are tangled with asters,
Let me remember, soon will the winter be on us,
Snow-hushed and heavy.
Over my soul murmur your mute benediction,
While I gaze, O fields that rest after harvest,
As those who part look long in the eyes they lean to,
Lest they forget them.

Busted Gulch Vol. 14 Update:
Josie was tired of being treated like a kid and she had enough of it. Josie took Imogen out for a ride and left Bella note, saying she would be back when the sun sets. She followed the river and noticed that the Liberty Belle was no longer docked. Josie rose to where the LB was and soon she was staring down the barrel of two guns. Josie wrote a note on her horse's saddle pad in red lipstick and urged the horse on. Her kidnapper shoved her into a dark room where she found Jhonny hurt and bleeding. Josie did her best to tend to his wounds, but no help was coming around. Now she didn't feel all grown up anymore but rather small and helpless. Bella noticed Josie was gone and went in search for her. Later did she notice Lady Imogen in the distance. When Bella caught up with her, she saw the note Josie wrote. Bella went straight to the sheriff's office and told them the news. The sheriff gave Bella his word to bring Josie back to the stables. Brody, Billy, Myna and 3Gun worked on a plan for the steamboat hutch. The KitKats would paddle out and get in the way while they came up from behind. They checked their weapons and got the canoes ready. As they waited for the sun, the sheriff went to go visit CG.
Thank you MysteriousDryad for another great update!!

POETRY EXTRA
UNTAMED
By @Shreya_VA
Blooming like a rose
Isn't even an option for most of us.
We bloom like the wildflower,
Neglected and ignored even when we blossom.
We're bullied and shamed,
For our sizes, colours and looks,
Judged and scorned,
And made fun of just cause
We're the different flowers in the bunch.
We're the pale roses and dark marigolds,
We're the yellowed leaves and drooping ferns.
We're the spring that feeds the lands,
And yet the big rivers steal the show.
Once our part is over, we wither away
Unnoticed, unsung, unadorned and unloved.
But we bloom fiercely in our own way,
Fight for ourselves and brave the dangers.
We fight and we win.
We're the odd pieces in the bouquet,
That add more price to the flower arrangement.
We're the unconventional beauties.
We aren't the unnamed shadows.
We aren't tamed showpieces.
We're the untamed, unbounded wilderness.
Fall is in the air and as we say good-bye to summer, we look forward to cooler weather, autumn colors and the excitement of the Biggest Competition Ever!! Thank you all for being the best on-line community of all time!! I hope everyone has a super-duper week!! Remember to keep those pens and keyboards flying!!
Cheers from you Mystres of Chatter
