Valdhiels POV.

A month passed and there was no sign of Tauriel.

"Valdhiel." Legolas called as I turned with a smile plastered on my face.  I walked over and sat on his lap where he sighed out of relief.

"How are you holding?" He asked

"Fine." I said quickly as he saw right through me.  "Sort of fine." I admitted

It was ridiculous how Tauriel could put such fear inside of me. I should be able to go after her. To fight her head on, yet she had scarred me for life (was that too dramatic?) and knew I was still fearful.

"Why does she have to come now?" I asked hiding behind my hair "everything was going along perfectly.

"I know Mellon nin. "

"Why does she hate me so much?"

"She's desperate that I belong to her alone." He muttered as I sighed. Oh Tauriel, when will you learn to let go?

"It'll be alright."he spoke quickly as I nodded my head in disagreement

"She's never going to stop until she wins." I spoke sadly.

I just wanted it to be all over. I wanted to give up but not give Tauriel the satisfaction.

Narrative POV

Later that night they went to bed as two me in dark clothing came forward and drugged the royal family. They left the king helpless as they took his wife and unborn child to who knows where.
