Chapter 26
For once Scythe didn't wake up in Death's Dimension. Instead he woke up sinking to the bottom of the ocean, facing the bottom and watching the crumpled projectile for a moment as it sank to the bottom a little lower than him. After a little while the feeling of needing to get to the surface for air overrode his curiosity about simply staying to watch how long it took to get to the bottom and he turned and used his wings to help shoot himself towards the surface line of the water.
As soon as he broke into the air he was assaulted by the smell of a storm coming from the east and south. A sort of bending half moon in the sky as it pushed him further away from home, so he decided to go the other way. This was the way that Elena took to that other country for school right? It was something that she said was named U...U something. He didn't know what the country was called either, but he did know that that's where he had come from after his former master tired of his 'uselessness'.
"As he got closer to the country there was a familiar smell that came to him. The wind was a bit misleading, as it took certain smells and sort of made them travel in wide arcs of circles until they eventually dissipated, but as he smelled the strangely familiar scent Scythe changed course to find out where it was coming from. While he traced the scent he thought about where he'd smelled that scent before, and for some reason the color yellow came to mind, and a small book. Why?
Scythe was gliding on the wind for another ten minutes when he smelled another scent. One that he never wanted to smell again and it caused his instincts to go haywire. A powerful aura exploded from his body, causing the water beneath him to bevel and spread like a giant crater. His eyes turned into thin slits and a deep growl reverberated throughout his entire being.
His Master was near.
Just like that his lazy pace turned into a streak of green light cutting through the air as Scythe blasted his way towards the scent. The air around him shuddered as the fabric of space barely resisted tearing in two, and not a second after his sudden acceleration Scythe saw a building on a small island. His instincts were now in full control and they already knew where his target was, and nothing was going to stop him.
-------------------------------
Across the ocean a series of booms rocked the land. On a small island somewhere off the coast of Japan there were flashes of light and several other loud noises.
The building, a warehouse, shook with every strike these two ultimate powers. Walls and Steel beams were ripped from their posts and sent every which way and when the fighting stopped for a moment one man spoke.
"All Might you don't stand a chance against me," the voice said, "I've fought against generations of your successors. You wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for me, so stop fighting against me and join me."
"I will never join you" a second voice said, "my power may have come from you first but I've made it my own and I'm going to use it to stop you once and for all!" The second was breathing heavily and one of his arms was curled around the opposite waist unconsciously. Though his healing was repairing the damage caused by the earlier ambush he was still highly vulnerable and wouldn't be able to last much longer...not to mention he'd told no one where he had gone.
"You know you will lose today," the first voice said, "You may have made that power your own, but you are still far from truly mastering it!"
"Stop talking" All Might said suddenly shooting forwards with an insane amount of speed. A shockwave went off behind him and all the man floating in the air did was smile. All Might's eyes widened as he noticed the trap too late. The first man's right arm had morphed into a giant spike, with backwards pointing spines along its entire length.
All Might had no way to change the direction of his launch, he had no way to avoid what was coming.
The arm pulled back.
All Might prepared for a whole lot of pain, he shifted his body so that the strike wouldn't hit anything too vital, and then it came.
But there was no pain...All Might couldn't even process what had happened. One moment All for One's arm was speeding towards All Might's chest and the next there was a flash of green in between the two and All for One's right arm was falling off to the side with a trail of blood in its wake.
All Might took his chance and struck All for One in his chest while he was still shocked.
"TEXAS SMASSSHHHH" His fist struck All for One's chest and send him flying in the other direction.
Two sides of the building suffered heavy damage as multiple impacts tore through support beams and pillars all the way to the edge of the building.

Liliana and Gray looked out the broken window in rage. The others had been brought back down to the lowest floor to leave the building and there was a meeting being put together not too far away.
They both were going through the event in their heads to try and put together what had happened, and the only thing that stood out to them was the fact that there were two portals. One had been on the floor near where Scythe was sitting, and the second had been where Arlington was sitting before they both had been blasted in two different directions.
"This first one was Scythe's claws digging into the ground here to move fast enough in Arlington's direction in order to get to him in time, but what is this second one for?" They both looked around the room with a similar frozen scene playing in their heads.
"Well Arlington went that way and something impacted Scythe and made him go through the windows and into the ocean." Liliana said walking around to where Arlington landed and looking down at the blurry figure in her mind. "Whatever it was, it was powerful, and Arlington might not have actually survived the hit. If his skin wasn't broken his bones would've shattered and his respiratory organs and heart would've been torn to shreds in his chest."
"So this second set must've been Scythe pushing Arlington out of the way before taking the hit himself, and knowing him Scythe is definitely still alive." Gray said, "The only problem is that something else must've distracted him if he hasn't already come back to tell us what happened." Liliana growled in response to this.
"One thing at a time here Gray," she said, "First is to figure out whatever it was that was shot at them both, then we find whoever it was that hacked the cameras to allow this to take place, and then we find whoever it was that directed the shot and deal with them."
"Agreed" Gray growled in agreement.

Sorry. I know this is a short chapter and I'm trying to get something out for today and tomorrow.
I keep forgetting that certain things on life (like TV Shows) can be paused and come back to later. I've been free all week just lazing around Binging this show I've gotten really into and it's caused me to get too distracted to write as often as I wanted to.
Again, I'm sorry.
