A Bloody Mess

Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️❤️

~~~~~
"Ohh! Hyungnim found Mr. Byun!" Chanyeol's underling shouted as the students gathered around to find their teacher and the troublemaker in a compromising position.
"Wish! Wish! Wish!" The students started chanting as Baekhyun hurriedly stepped back.
He peered up at his student who just cleared his throat and everyone waited with bated breaths.
"I will save my wish for later. Let's go to sleep." Chanyeol grumbled as he glared at everyone to retreat and sleep.
Many groaned and some grumbled, but they followed the taller's orders.
"You ok?" Chanyeol asked as he checked up on his teacher again who was starring at the grass.
He saw a small nod of fluffy brown hair before hearing a small mumble of "who said I'll grant you any wish?"
Chanyeol looked betrayed as he opened and closed his mouth. "Yah!"
Baekhyun gave a small smile with his head still down and pinched Chanyeol's side before starting to walk.
"I want a hug and a kiss and a-" Chanyeol started listing his wishes when Baekhyun flushed but kept himself composed. His student's silly antics made himself felt a bit better, but the tension was still heavy in his chest. Chanyeol was always joking with what he said, so it made Baekhyun feel a little lighter.
Then, he felt a warmth engulfing him and hair tickling near his ears as he realized that his student was hugging him from behind with his head lowered next to his shoulder.
"This is my wish a hug." Chanyeol whispered and tightened his hold on the other because he knew that the older needed more hugs right now. He knew how comforting a simple hug can be in times of distress.
~~~~~

The next morning, Baekhyun retreated to feeling gloomy the whole ride back. He didn't even notice his troublesome student eyeing him in worry.

As soon as he reached school grounds, he hailed a cab and went straight to the hospital. After asking details of where his dad was, he immediately rushed over.

Baekhyun dragged the door opened only to see a distressed Baekhee staring blankly at the corner and his mom hugging his dad's hand. Baekhyun closed the door before slowly moving over to see his father breathing shallowly.

"Dad?" Baekhyun croaked as he leaned towards his side, touching the man's forehead.

"I'm fine." He replied with a tiny smile at the end.

Baekhyun's lip quivered as he willed himself not to cry in front of his weakening father.

"Don't cry Baekhyun! I haven't started yet!" Baekhee bubbled as she too was on the verge of tearing up. "Dad.." she trailed off as she gazed at the man before sniffing.

"W-what about the company?" Baekhyun asked as he knew that it was his parent's most prized creation after their children of course. But that company was considered their child, created from the ground up with their youth invested into it.

"I-your dad can't manage it now. W-we are planning to sell it." His mother muttered sadly.

"Sell it?! But mom that's you and dad's most valuable investment! Your everything!" Baekhee chimed in as her eyes bulged out. After years of their parents wishing that they can help, suddenly they want to sell it.

"We just don't have the time and strength to rebuild it again. It's facing financial problems and your dad-he's-it's the best solution." Their mother uttered as it deeply pained her heart.

Baekhyun stood idly at the side listening to their conversation. Years of escaping his parent's playful suggestion of taking over the company would be gone. He knew that his parents will never want to pressure him into taking over something he disliked, but at this point he couldn't just watch their small, precious empire collapse.

"I can take over." Baekhyun announced stepping up a bit. All eyes focused on him as his father had an unreadable face.

"You don't have to, Baek." His father said eyes closing slightly. "I don't want you to enter and regret the choices you made. I want you to live your life happily."

"But seeing you guys happy makes me happy. I'm going to fix the company, and I will. Don't worry, dad just focus on improving." Baekhyun started hugging his father's arm as not to disturb him too much.

His parents didn't get a word of disagreement in as Baekhyun left the ward and leaned against the wall.

This was it. He wasn't going to be a teacher anymore. He felt empty for a reason. But he didn't know why.

~~~~~
"Chanyeol Oppa do you want to go to the dance with me?" A girl with perfectly curled hair and light blue nails asked as she held two tickets in hand-confident that she wouldn't be rejected.
"Dance? There's a dance?" Chanyeol asked as the girl nodded her head.
"It's just next week! It will be so fun and I can pair my dress with your suit! Should I wear high heels or my stilettos or-"
"I don't wanna go. Well have fun." He muttered before turning to walk towards the gym. The staff versus student basketball game was just around the corner and he couldn't wait to defeat Baekhyun.
Usually it was dull-teachers huffing and puffing as they dribbled the ball. And even if they had the energy to run, they sucked at shooting or gave up on the second round.
Chanyeol couldn't wait when he would go against his stubborn little teacher.
He finished shoving his gym clothes in the locker when he saw his teacher holding a large stash of binders and papers passing by the office.
Odd. He hasn't seen Baekhyun in awhile but he dismissed the thought and went over to greet him.
"Byun!" Chanyeol yelled as he sided up with his teacher. The smaller tilted his head a bit to give him a nod as the taller just stared at him.
"Are you going to help me or not?" Baekhyun asked after awhile of struggling while his student just swung his arms around freely.
"Oh you need help? Well I guess I can help you, I'm a gentleman after all." Chanyeol winked as he lifted a binder out of the stack of six which didn't really help at all.
"Why did I even ask." Baekhyun muttered under his breath before he felt his stack of binders lifted away from him.
He blinked a couple of times as he watched his student walking towards his classroom with his load of binders.
"Um thank you." Baekhyun uttered after Chanyeol placed the items on his desk.
"Anytime. But what's with all these papers? Are you leaving?" Chanyeol asked chuckling as Baekhyun stiffened for a second before chuckling too.
"Ha...hahaha no?" Baekhyun answered and immediately diverted his student's questioning gaze by changing the topic.
"So uh what's going on these days? Oh yeah there's a dance coming up and the basketball tournament. Are you looking forward to it?" Baekhyun asked.
This seemed to divert Chanyeol's attention as he immediately nodded. "I can't wait to beat you in basketball." He smiled before sitting down on a chair and propping his legs up on the desk to which Baekhyun frowned disapprovingly at.
"Chanyeol ssi! Um would you like to go to the dance with me?" A girl who caught Chanyeol in the room quickly asked, before anyone else can, oblivious that several has already been rejected.
"Uh can't I'm busy that day, but you're kinda cute." Chanyeol answered with a wink as the girl apologized and blushed furiously before exiting again.
After she left, Chanyeol released a groan and leaned his head back as he stared at the ceiling.
Baekhyun frowned at the other's reply before scolding the other. "You shouldn't be flirting with everyone."
"Why? Jealous?" Chanyeol smirked a tinge of hope of his teacher liking him.
"No! You're dating Baekhee and you're winking at every creature that moves!" Baekhyun hmphed as the taller raised a brow.
"You are jealous. Aw so cute!" Chanyeol teased as Baekhyun wanted to slap his face.
"As if." Baekhyun groaned before feverishly grading papers.
~~~~~

"Dad what are you doing here?" Chanyeol groaned as he threw himself on the couch while his father only gave him a disapproving frown. His father had just arrived after a long flight from London and he was disappointed at his son's reaction.

"Yeol, you're going to enter university soon and I was thinking-"

"No, I'm not going to help you with your business. Just pass it on to whoever." Chanyeol grumbled as he played on his phone.

"You-then what do you want to do for your future?" His father asked as Chanyeol furrowed his eyebrows.

"Nothing. I don't know yet." Chanyeol muttered as he lifted his legs onto the foot of the couch.

"Son, you should worry about your future more rather than just relying on my money. I'm going to die one day so you shouldn't depend on me fully. You need your own life." His father answered as Chanyeol hardened his gaze.

"Worry? And how far is that going to get me? Why should I get a successful life and lock myself down in misery and regret? Why should I follow in your footsteps?" Chanyeol argued back as he glared at his father.

"Chany-" His father tried.

"So I can ignore my family? Throw them to the side and come running back pathetically when you realize that money isn't everything?!" Chanyeol seethed as he turned away and stomped out the door missing his father's guilty face.

His parents never understood him.

Where were they when he took his first step? When he drew his first picture of them, but no one was there to appreciate it? When he wanted a hug after a bad day in school, but all he got were strange faces who cooed and smiled at him. Strangers who he learned to be his maids and helpers around the mansion.

His parents were always busy. Work. Charity parties. Meetings. But never enough time for his birthday, his first Christmas, his anything. Just never enough time for him. He would pout at his room all day and begrudgingly drag his feet to school the next. Young Chanyeol didn't understand why he always felt so empty even though he had all the colorful, cool toys around him, all the little kids who wanted to befriend him, and all the delicious sweets he would get.

He was always lonely deep inside.

At first, he cried. But then he eventually got used to it. He turned his want for affection into hatred and distrust. Because at least, they would pay more attention to the rebellious him than the docile baby he was back then.

~~~~~
Baekhee returned to school after her long absence and sat at her usual seat gloomily. When Chanyeol entered he noticed Baekhee's downcast expression and felt bad for her.
"Hey. Where you been up to these days?" Chanyeol asked as he pushed a strand of the other's hair behind her ear.
Baekhee pouted before mumbling that her father's health condition worsened and is now in the hospital.
Chanyeol soothed the other's back and tried to give encouraging words because she looked like she would cry any second.
Baekhyun entered before the bell rang as he signaled the class to quiet down. He gave a brief glance at his sister and inwardly sighed about all the events that were going on.
"Class! Settle down you guys have an upcoming project due next Monday and I will permit partners. Your project needs to be typed and a five minute explanation video needs to accompany it. For the sake of time, your seat mate is your partner so get started on it." Baekhyun answered before sitting down at his desk. He felt drained even from giving simple instructions to his students.
"Looks like we're partners." Baekhee had a small smile and started working on the project.
Chanyeol returned a small grin and tried to focus on working and not on his distracted teacher.
The bell rang as everyone scrambled to pack up.
"Do you want to come to my house today and finish the project?" Baekhee asked as the taller was stuffing papers in a folder.
"Uh sure I'll meet you at the front gates." Chanyeol replied as he returned the smile.
~~~~~

Baekhee and Chanyeol ended up walking to Baekhee's house as the shorter wanted to take a walk. It soothed her as she remembered how she used to take walks and run to the park with her father.

They finally reached after almost half an hour of walking and climbed up the stairs as Baekhee opened the apartment door. Chanyeol was taking off his shoes when Baekhee suddenly stilled.

There was a faint sound of the shower as someone called "Baekhee are you home?"

Baekhee flushed, and told Chanyeol to wait as she dashed towards the bathroom door.

"I thought you weren't coming back until nine tonight! Didn't you have plans with unnie?" Baekhee asked exasperated as the other mumbled back a "She cancelled on me! Her principal work was apparently more important than watching a movie with me."

"Can you please not come out?" Baekhee begged as Chanyeol, by now was curious as to who the other was whispering with.

There was silence on the other side as the shower turned off and Baekhee thought that her brother, for once listened to her.

But that was a big mistake.

Baekhyun yanked the door open with a goofy grin and a towel wrapped around his waist as he shaked his head letting water droplets fly everywhere.

"Love you too my beautiful sister!" Baekhyun said in a high pitchy voice to annoy his sister.

"Is everything ok?" Chanyeol asked as he stepped inside the house and turned the corner to notice Baekhee frozen as a statue and B-Baekhyun?

Baekhyun in a white, fluffy towel with his hair wet and body sinfully alluring.

"AHHHHH-why the heck is that thing here!" Baekhyun shrieked his logic flying out his head as Chanyeol looked offended and Mr. Grumpy decided to appear which Baekhyun gave a little jump again.

Then it happened.

The towel that was loosely wrapped around Baekhyun, slithered off onto the floor leaving him bare and naked in front of his student and sister.

Baekhyun screamed again as Chanyeol quickly turned around and ran towards the kitchen, but in the process stubbed his toe on the coffee table. He started groaning on the floor as Baekhyun hurriedly tried to cover himself.

Throughout this mess, Baekhee was still frozen like a statue.

~~~~~
Haha get it bloody mess? They're related...blood and the whole situation's a mess=bloody mess? Aw I'm such a genius~
Mmhmm and the big reveal is out! Now Chanyeol will have to cope with his assumptions and idiocy.....till next time! 😏😏😏
