Eli:

We all went quiet for a moment as Asher sat straight up, his Wolf seems upset. I frowned as I felt the mind-link coming in.

"Sean has been found! All healers report to the medical wing IMMEDIATELY!"

"Give me an update NOW Desmond."

"Sean was spotted running towards the northern entrance. He collapsed about 6 feet away and we carried him in."

Ryan nodded to me. "Skyler, find Rosette immediately." Skyler nodded as Jessica stood up to join him.

"I'll go with you Sky." He grabbed her hand and quickly moved out the front door when I heard a low growl.

I stared at Asher whose eyes were glowing.

"Ash? You okay? Talk to me!" Charlotte's voice became urgent as she tried to calm him.

"Vik need Ezren!" He roared.

Ryan and I both stood still. A wolf reaching through in human form?

Ryan mind-linked me.

"Ezren in human form? Like this?"

"I don't know Ryan... we need to go."

"Charlotte? Would you mind-" she cut me off.

"Prince Eli, we need to go now. Asher is going to shift... He says he needs too."

Before I could respond, Asher shifted, throwing our table against the wall and shredding his clothes as he did. The fancy plates Jess was so excited about crashed to the floor along with

He whimpered as Charlotte quickly mounted his back and ran through the hallway and out the door. Ryan and I were close on his heels.

I looked at him as he jumped over the railing landing 2 stories below with ease. I did the same as Ezren caught on.

My eyes went wide when I saw him leap over the railing with Charlotte still on his back. They were a magnificent team.

"How is he Em?!"

"Not good Eli, Vik not good! Hurry!"

The moment we made it to the medical wing. We heard it.

The most horrifying sound any were-creature could ever hear.

The scream of pain from a mate who is losing connection with their other half. I've heard the pain is so great it feels as if you're being ripped in half.

Tears licked at the corner of my eyes.

"EMBER! HOW IS HE?!"

Ember whimpered in response. "Vik need Ezren, Vik need Mate."

"Jessica?"

"Yes."

I stormed in behind Ezren who kicked open the door with his paws.

Sean was laying on the bed, his energy barely palpable.

Skyler held on to Rosette in the corner of the room while Jessica stood next to Rosette with glowing eyes, while healers tried their best to maintain some sort of organization as the room began to fill up.

Jessica:

NO NO NO NO! I repeated in my head over and over.

This can't be Happening.

"JESSICA I NEED YOU!" I heard Charlotte's voice in my mind, just as she entered the room.

I turned towards her as she pushed some healers out of the way causing Ryan and Eli to growl.

Ezren licked Sean's hand and whimpered.

"I'M THE BEST HEALER HERE!" She shouted back at the boys. Her eyes glowing strong, she lit up the room when she entered and her Tattoos moved up and down her arms, shimmering as they slithered.

She glared at me, then ushered me over.

She pulled me to her side and whispered in my ear. "You feel the energy in the water?"

I shook my head yes. I wiped the tears from my eyes.

She glanced at the water lined on top of the trays and frowned, snapping her fingers as the water shot from the jars to and hovered over us. "This will have to do." She turned to me again.

Is there such a thing as bad water?

"Jessica, I need to focus your energy through the water. Once I'm ready." Her eyes flickered to a blue glow as she moved the water near his head and his chest. She settled her hands in the center of his chest. "I will control the water, all you need to do is follow..." A blue aura swirled around her as I felt the vibrations of energy course through me. She let out a loud, deep, gutteral groan as the water began to glow. Sean's body began to quake and I heard Rosette cry out again.

My energy seemed to follow hers as I watched her work, I could feel my own body begin to rumble from the inside out as a silver aura began to glow around me.

What's happening to me?

"Hands on his head!" She shouted at me. Knocking me back to realty.

I looked over at her. "Charlotte I'm not sure-"

"NOW!" She shouted again, my body physically unable to stop itself.

I brought my hands to his head and tried to trickle in the energy. I felt my energy swirl in and out of his mind as the water laid healing touches all over him.

I could feel Vik's energy as he tried to reach for my sparks.

I grunted as I tried to hold back. I didn't want to hurt him.

I felt Charlotte place her hands over mine. "More Jessica." She gritted out in my ear.

"I- I'm not- sure-" I stuttered.

"STOP BEING AFRAID OF YOUR POWER AND SAVE HIM!"

Charlotte's voice coursed through me as I dug deeper, reaching out to Vik in my mind. I shot the electricity to him and like a moth to a flame I heard him roar.

I felt a gust of wind shoot up around us as our magic energy combined seemed to change the atmosphere around us. I gritted my teeth, the gold tattoos had traveled down my arms and to my hands. I felt them vibrate around my fingers as I focused on Vik in this dark and dreary place.

My hair whipped in my face. "MATE! KEEP GOING!" I heard Em in my head.

Tears trickled down my face and I felt the energy slowly drain me. "COME BACK TO US VIK!..." I heard Charlotte's voice in my mind. "...Follow Ezren!"

I felt Sean continue to shake under my hands. "Please Sean... Rosette needs you... Your Brothers..." I mumbled under my breath. It was getting hard to breath, let alone form words. His mind was a scary place right now. It felt nearly dead, it smelled of anguish and pain.

I crinkled my nose and focused on Sean's mind, His dark empty space slowly filling again with pictures of Rosette. Soon memories of Sean as a child chasing around Eli and Ryan. Some snapshots of his parents soon brought more color to his dull mind.

His mind no longer felt like falling through a pit of despair. I felt the burning love from Vik and Ezren as they tried to burst through this sulking place.

I felt Vik and Ezren's energy slash through and a burst of energy shot up my arms, pushing me back. Forcing my connection to break.

"I can't..." I whispered out as I felt the wind stop immediately. I felt my back hit Charlotte who let go of my hands and held me up. Her arms around my center.

I opened my eyes, blinking away the tears. "Is he? Is he OK?" I looked back at Charlotte who smiled down at me.

"Good Job..." She started before taking me in her arms, holding us both as we slowly fell to our knees. "...for a Princess." Tears fell down her cheeks.

The room was still, the tension rising as we all waited to see what would happen next. Everyone was pushed up against the walls of the room as they stared at Charlotte and I on the floor. The healers were staring at us in awe, fixing their hair and clothing that had been blown around by the swirling air.

Rosette ran to his side smiling. "I feel Vik. He's here. He's back..." She ran a hand over Sean's cheek and his eyes fluttered open.

Everyone seemed to let out a breath we were all holding.

"Kitten?" Sean spoke up as he sat up and kissed Rosette as if the room was empty.

Asher stood up fully naked now. "Brother!..." he pulled Sean into a hug. "...You came back!"

Ryan groaned. "Jeez, Put on some clothes, man!"

I quickly hid my eyes and so did Skyler, so did most everyone in the room as we all tried to file out.

Charlotte rolled her eyes, speaking in my head. "These are werewolves. They're naked half the time aren't they? It's just natural."

I chuckled. "Not here Sis." I spoke back through our link.

I wonder how I this works?

I saw her eyes light up when I called her Sis. I smiled back at her.

Eli was trying to get everyone out the door, reaching for me just in case I saw something I didn't want to see.

"Thank you Brother. Ezren lead Vik back to me. Thank you." Sean whispered out. "And Jessica!" He shouted as I tried to sneak away before I passed out or caught a glimpse of Asher that I wouldn't be able to erase from my mind.

I covered my eyes and turned towards Sean. "You and Charlotte, wow. I don't know how you did it, but, Thank you." He whispered as I heard him sniffle. "I am forever in your debt. The both of you."

"Sean, you're family. You would do the same for me." I smiled before turning out the door with Skyler.

"I couldn't let the future Uncle of my pups die now could I?" I heard Charlotte say when I finally made it into the hallway.

I felt the room begin to spin. All the voices seemed to blend together. I reached out for Eli and he quickly took me into his arms. "Jess, You saved him." He whispered in my ear. He put his forehead on mine.

"Mate so powerful, Mate need rest. Sleep Mate." I heard Ember's voice in my mind.

I smiled into Eli's chest while he moved up the stairs to our condo. The last thing I remember was closing my eyes while I let Eli's scent bring Peace to my mind and body.

Ryan:

I pulled Skyler away from hallway, following Prince Eli up the steps to his place.

Skyler hasn't stopped the flow of tears from falling and he really wanted to stay with rosette. "I know you wanted to stay but give them some time. Rosette will be okay."

I looked down at Skyler when we made it to the door. Moving his dark hair away from his face, cleaning the tears in the process. "It will all be okay Sky-"

He cut me off, glaring at me. "No Ryan. If Charlotte and Jessica weren't there, we would have lost Sean!" He blurted out loud crossing his arms in front of his chest. I could feel how angry he was.

"Mate mad Ryan, Mate need cuddles."

"Why mad?"

"Because Ryan did something dumb, probably. Cuddles Ryan. Cuddles!"

I pulled him into me, holding him as close as I could without breaking him.

"Love, we saved him. He's okay, I'm sure he will make a full recovery."

I couldn't think of any reason why Skyler would be so angry.

I let him push himself away and he stared up at me. I frowned at all the anger I felt coming from him.

"That could've been you! You left me earlier and I had no idea where you were, or what you were planning!" He jabbed his finger into my chest. "You never do that to me! You never cut off our link. EVER!" He yelled out loud before running his hands through his hair and pouting at me. "I would have had no idea if you were hurt, I'd just feel the pain rip through my body like Rosette..." He brought his hands to his face and my heart broke.

"I had no idea..." I spoke to Beckett.

"Ryan should never leave Mate! Never cut off link!" Beckett replied, "...Beckett never leave mate..." He mumbled out.

I tried to reach for him but he smacked my hand away. I stiffened, my whole body tense from his angry outburst. I growled.

He glared back. "Oh stop acting tough Ryan!"

Beckett whimpers. "Ryan say SORRY! TELL MATE WE SORRY!"

I ran my hands through my hair. "Skyler, I'm really sorry." Grabbing one of his hands in mine. I kissed the back and placed his hand on my chest, pulling him in closer. "Please Love..." I placed my head on his, whispering. "I'm so sorry. I thought I needed to keep you in the dark to keep you safe." I felt his anger fading.

"Say more things Ryan..." Beckett grumbled. "Tell Mate how perfect he is." He yipped.

I smiled. "Sky, You're so perfect. In every single way. You know I can't lose you."

He looked up at me with a small smile on his face. "Beckett told you to say that huh? Thank you Beck." He chuckles as I frown and roll my eyes. Beckett has never steered me wrong when it comes to our Mate. Skyler pulled me in close, his head perched on my shoulder for a moment.

"I couldn't do it Ryan. I wouldn't survive if I lost you, I wouldn't want to." He sniffled into my chest.

"Never Sky. That will NEVER happen. I would fight with every once of power inside me to be by your side. Always." I pulled his beautiful lips to mine.

"That was good Ryan." Beckett hummed in my brain. "More mate kisses, Beckett need more..." He growled.

I happily obliged, giving in to my urges, I pulled him in closer. His mouth , his flavor...

Skyler pulled away just as I felt the urge to run him back to our room, he smiled up at me, taking my face in his hands. "Something isn't right about this whole thing Ryan. The gods have something big planned. I can feel it." I chuckled at his 'Feelings'. Feelings aren't facts.

"Mate need cuddles and sleep Ryan..." Beckett interrupted my thoughts. "Beckett want more kisses and..."

"Beck... You're distracting me while our Mate is talking..."

He whimpered.

I took one of his hands and kissed up his arm and up to his neck, nibbling on his mark making him groan. "Love, I'm sure this was just some rouge attack. They caught him at a bad moment and they got the best of him, somehow..." I trailed off at the end as I brought a hand to my chin and glanced down at Sky who had his eyebrow arched.

"He didn't look like he'd been in a bad fight." I said, thinking out loud. My urges taking a quick back seat as I thought about the scene we just witnessed.

"Really? Rogues? You know that isn't true. There's no way we'd miss a group of 10 rogues roaming the forest. Besides, you saw him, he wasn't physically injured. Not that I saw..." He released a puff of breath and rubbed his eyes.

"Mate need Cuddles and sleep!" Beckett repeated in my mind.

"You ready?" Eli's voice startled Sky. Whoa he must be tired if he didn't hear him coming already.

I nodded my head. "Come Love, You can sleep here. I'll be right downstairs with Prince Eli if you need me." I put my arm around him as he snuggled into my side.

I told Eli through the Mind-Link

"Give me a few minutes with Sky."

"Take your time. I've got some phone calls to make."

I cut off the link and pulled him on top of me on the couch. I could feel his heart slow down against my chest as I ran my hand up and down his back.

I tried to figure out what could have done this to Sean. He felt nearly human when we stormed into that room.

What are we up against?

"Very strong magic, Ryan." Beckett responded.

"What are you talking about Beck?"

"Creature very powerful to rip Wolf soul away from Host."

Crap.

Eli:

"How much longer?" I interrupted my father as he rambled on about securing the borders.

He sighed. "We will be there by tomorrow Evening. That's all I can promise you."

"Very well. See you then."

I was about to hang up when I could hear my father speaking. "-Please Son. Know that no matter what you may have heard, We all love our children. More than anything."

I took a few deep breaths, trying to calm myself. "Not now." I growled into the phone before quickly hanging up.

The last thing I needed was to have something else on my mind right now, not with an obvious security threat that could be lurking in our woods as we speak.

"Not here anymore Eli."

I perked up at hearing his voice. He had gone silent once Jessica fell asleep. I thought perhaps he had too much excitement himself.

"What are you talking about Em?"

"The threat, that magic. Not here anymore."

I furrowed my brows at the statement.

"You mean a witch? Or A fae creature?"

"No Eli. This magic very powerful, magic so powerful only moon goddess knows."

"Moon Goddess Magic, like Jessica?"

"Maybe? Ember not know. Maybe Ezren know. Ezren know lots of things!" He yipped as he was excited to be helping.

Ryan stepped out of the door into the hallway. Closing the door carefully.

"Skyler out?" I asked as we moved quickly to the stairs.

He nodded. "Yeah..." He rubbed the back of his neck. "...But he is upset with me, for leaving him earlier today. He claimed I could have been Sean and he wouldn't know until the pain of losing his mate hit him."

I let out a sigh. "He knows that you were just trying to protect him though, right?"

Ryan shrugged his shoulders. "He's not wrong. I don't like keeping things from him, sneaking around. Have you seen Ezren and Charlotte together? Did you see how in sync they were?"

I nodded my head. "Yeah..." I smirked. "My first thought was that could be Jess and I."

Ryan smiled. "I know! Right? I mean, Skyler could train and learn to fight with me, by my side." He looked over at me. Worried.

I smiled. "I don't see why not." I put my hand on his shoulder as we made it to Sean's door. "If that's what Sky wants too. I support it."

He smiled. "Thanks Bro."

I nodded and mind-linked him.

"Ember is saying this could be the work of a powerful magical creature."

Ryan crossed his arms over his chest.

"Beckett said the same thing."

I nodded at Ryan signaling we understood each other and opened the door.

Sean:

Asher now had clothes on.

Thank the gods.

He made sure Charlotte was resting as we spoke quietly trying not to wake my sleeping Rosette.

"Okay, Pizza or Burgers?" Asher asked in his cheery whisper voice.

"BOTH!" We whisper shouted at the same time.

We tried hard to stifle our laughing. Holding our stomachs and covering our mouths.

"Bro, but for real." I started. "Have you had a Cheeseburger Pizza?"

Asher's eyes went wide as his eyebrows shot up. "That's a thing?" He whispered out furrowing his brows and staring into my eyes.

I pushed him back some. "Bro, It's a thing. I'll have to have Rosette make it for you."

Asher shook his head side to side in disbelief. "You have no idea how different it is in the southern realm." He sighed. "Our mom always wanted be to come back here. She never wanted to stay in the southern realm. She always spoke about one day us leaving and returning home."

His eyes gazed out the window as if remembering something sad. He plastered on a smile and looked at me again. "Stories for another time huh? We should get you well so Ezren and Vik can play together."

I looked over at him. He seemed more put together than I ever have been. More powerful. He had scars on his back from training or maybe battle? He kept his hair short, his clothing simple. Even his wolf seemed calmer than Vik.

"Sure. Vik is driving me crazy about wanting to play with his brother." I chuckled.

"Ezren!" Vik was yelling in my head.

"Can you hear him? Vik?" I asked Asher out of the blue. "I could hear Ezren and Vik while I was out. And Vik seems like he's-"

"Calling out to Ezren?" He laughed finishing my sentence. "I can't hear Vik, but, Ezren is doing the same. Maybe, in the future?" He shrugged before standing up.

I shrugged as well offering up my fist. "See you later Brother." I said with a smile. I felt such a connection with him, even though we only just met. It was different than what I had with Eli or Ryan, this was like finding another missing puzzle piece to my life. It just felt right to have him around.

He pounded my fist. "See you Little Brother" I laughed at the nickname.

"Really?" I questioned as he wiggled his eyebrows at me.

"Mom always told me I was born first so, technically I'm the oldest. So I can do whatever I want." I chuckled again as he walked out the door. Closing it carefully.

I laid back on my bed, listening to the sound of familiar footsteps head towards my door.

Ryan and Eli.

I took a deep breath in and slowly let it out. I pushed aside all the questions I had about my mother and my father. I tried to bury it deep so I could focus on the issue at hand.

That stupid little girl who is more powerful than anything I have ever seen and the message she wanted me to pass on.

Jessica:

I woke feeling groggy and grumpy. I felt around for Eli but he wasn't there. I knew the moment I woke up he wasn't but I hoped I was wrong.

I looked at the clock on the wall, 11:00pm.

I groaned and fell back on my pillow.

I realized then that I was still in my cocktail dress from dinner, so I threw the blankets off of me and got ready to go through my bedtime routine.

I threw off my dress and pulled on my silky robe. It was my new favorite thing in my closet. It really didn't cover much but it was better than walking around our condo bare.

Unless I'm doing it to get Eli's attention. I smirk at the thought.

I throw open my bedroom door and immediately I smell him. "Skyler?"

I hear a groan from the couch. Then I see him sit up and stare wide eyed at me. "Oh wow. Hey Jess." He smirks at me. "Pretty sure all that..." He gestures at my body with his hands. "...is meant for Prince Eli." He chuckles as I try to hide myself with this flimsy material.

I roll my eyes. "Why are you here? Where are the boys?"

He stretches and shrugs his shoulders. "Ryan brought me up here after you and Charlotte brought Sean back to life."

I nodded my head in understanding.

He stood up and moved to the kitchen as if he owned the place. "The boys are downstairs in the main offices. At least I know Ryan is."

He started making coffee and pancakes?

"Sky? What in the world are you doing right now?" I moved closer to him. I watched him expertly toss all the ingredients in the bowl and begin mixing.

He looked over at me. "You should change before the boys get here. Prince Eli would kill me if he knew I let you walk around like this."

I rolled my eyes. "Sky, it's 11PM. Why on earth are you making coffee and pancakes..." He went to the fridge and grabbed a package of bacon. "Jeez, and bacon?!"

He chuckled. "Jessica, Sean had his wolf soul torn from his body and it nearly killed them both. We don't know who did it. We don't know why. We have a royal blood family member that none of the elders ever spoke of, just surprise us in front of the castle. Every piece of information we find tells us more about this hidden history of the eastern realm. This is not a time for Sleep. We, as the Lord and Luna of this pack, have to get to work."

He turned me around and pushed me into the hallway. "Hurry and change."

I ran my hands through my hair and sighed. He's right. We've got some really big problems right now. We've got all these pieces and we need to put them together.

I quickly got in a pair of leggings and an over-sized sweater. Makeup removed, face fresh and clean. I felt better already.

"Hey SKY!..." I yelled from the hallway. "I think we should invite-" I stopped in my tracks as Charlotte was talking to Skyler, laughing about something he had said.

"Charlotte!" I pulled her into a hug.

She awkwardly hugged me back.

Baby steps...

"Skyler told me to come up, he wanted to know more about the southern realm. He said you guys could use my help." She shrugged. "Not sure I have enough time to explain our entire history to you, but, hey, it's worth a shot!" She gave us a small smile and Skyler started laughing.

I rolled my eyes are her snide remark while she and Skyler chuckled together.

We moved to the couches and placed all the food on the coffee table. I stood in the living room looking at Skyler. "Why aren't we eating in the dining room? It's way more comfortable than eating in here."

I made my way to the dinning room. When Skyler called out to me. "Wait JESS! Don't go in there right now-"

"WHAT IN THE MOON GODDESS HAPPENED IN HERE!?" I yelled out loud before I moved back into the living room while Skyler was rubbing the back of his neck nervously. Charlotte continued eating.

"So I guess..." Skyler started. "...Ezren sort of forced Asher to shift while he was in the dining room earlier."

"That was WILD!" Charlotte said in between bites as she continued to pick directly off the serving plates with her fingers.

I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. Trying to ignore Charlotte's manners while also thinking about a giant wolf running through my home.

Skyler interrupted quickly. "Really, it's not as bad as it looks Luna."

Charlotte added. "No. It's bad."

Skyler glared at her. "What? No use lying about it." She rolled her eyes as Skyler continued to glare at her.

She sighed. "I'm sorry Princess..." She started as I sat down next to her and handed her a plate.

Maybe she didn't notice the plates?

"...want me to fix it for you?" She looked over at me with worried eyes.

Did she really feel bad about this?

I smiled at her. "No it's fine. I'll just have to find another one." I shrugged. "I guess that's just life with werewolves."

We all chuckled as we started our meal.

Even though Charlotte already ate a fair amount of everything...

Skyler clapped his hands and rubbed them together. "Okay Southern Realm history lesson begins now."
