Chapter 22
WARNING: MENTIONS OF RAPE, TORTURE, MURDER, ABUSE
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you woke up the next morning they had in fact been there and as soon as they saw you were awake they both left to their own apartments. Surprisingly for the rest of the week, they did that. They would come over and keep you company whenever your thoughts became too loud and too much to handle by yourself. They were good company to keep. One of the nights they even brought over some paperwork they needed to do.
Flashback
You decided to put on some soothing music. Nothing dance-worthy or else that would distract the two occupants currently in your living room. You went from your bedroom to the kitchen where you were making dinner. You decided to make some baked chicken and fried pork with white rice enough for the three of you. You hummed softly listening to the little thumps Miruko's foot made when he got frustrated and, Hawks wings flapping whenever they brushed up against something unfamiliar. It was endearing. You waited patiently for the chicken and pork to finish since food cooks itself you don't cook the food.
"Baby bird?" Your tail started swaying gently in excitement. Baby bird and baby carrot were the cutest nicknames you've ever been called and you wanted it to be continued.
"I'm coming." You made it to the living room to see what was up. Keigo beckoned you to sit down next to him which you obliged. You sat down cocking your head at the spread-out papers on your table and floor. Mirko had a larger stack than Hawks and he was biting the pen creating gouges in it with his tooth.
"You're a secretary so you can help me with this right? I know you're cooking and I don't want to interrupt you-" You cut him off by grabbing the papers and scanning them over. It was an easy fix. It was basically the same kind of filing you do on the computer except this is on paper. In a few minutes, you had the three pages he was struggling with done and handed it back to him "Wow that was fast...Thank you." He smiled gently at you as you returned it. You turned to Miruko to see that he was getting more frustrated if the tugging on his ear and foot thumping was any sign. You switched sides plopping down next to him the only greeting he gave was a side look.
"You don't have to help me if you don't want to." You rolled your eyes playfully and with a swiftness that caught most people off guard the papers were in your hands and you were scanning them. You glanced at Rumi to see that he was looking between you and the papers in your hand
"Don't worry I can do these for you and you can do the others." You didn't let him complain or anything like that. You knew how he gets. He doesn't like doing anything with people, he prefers to work alone since he believes working on teams was for cowards. You rushed through the papers filling them out thoroughly before handing them back to him. "You don't owe me anything and this wasn't teamwork." You smiled at him a little confused as to why he cringed. You got up smelling the pork and chicken. A few more minutes later you came out of the kitchen with three plates. You put one down in front of them while you held yours in your hand the heat not bothering you in the slightest. "Kei if you want some raw chicken I have some in the freezer that you can eat if you want." He flinched at that and you momentarily forgot he wasn't exactly too proud of his bird traits. You remained standing not noticing the other two in the room looking at you weirdly
"You're not going to sit?" You jumped staring at Rumi sheepishly. You giggled taking a seat on the floor and putting your plate on the table.
"It's a habit for me to do this you know." They said nothing as they dug into the food. It was quiet minus the slurping and chewing sounds of food being eaten
"How long have you been cooking for?" You thought about it and shrugged. No need to lie
"Since I was four well a little before I manifested my quirks but, that's beside the point." You heard a noise come out of their mouth. You looked up raising an eyebrow trying to figure out why they were looking at you that way.
"You were cooking before four-"
"How many quirks do you have?" You tilted your head looking at both of them scrutinizing them. You saw nothing but, genuine concern and curiosity so you decided to be honest with them. They deserved it.
"Well cooking before four, my older siblings showed me how to cook since they were too lazy to do it themselves. My parents were the number 1 and 2 heroes so we barely saw them besides on TV. I am the baby of five siblings. While my parents weren't home they weren't nice to me-"
"Why?" You simply shrugged
"I was the wild card. My mom has a super strength quirk and my dad looks like a lizard. I got not only both of their quirks but I got a healing quirk, float, telepathy, and manipulate concrete, dirt, or steel. You would think they would be happy that their sister has been so blessed but, I was wrong. They hated me." You continued eating as if you were talking about the weather. This sort of conversation should have bothered you but it didn't. You were numb and desensitized so it was just something normal to you. "Everyone but the second to last child, my sister. She was the one that always cared about me, she never hid behind a facade in front of my parents. She loved me unconditionally. My three older brothers hated me and always kept her separate from me and I had to do the cooking, cleaning, washing, homework, and everything else you can think of. My brothers used to beat my ass up and my parents never once questioned where the bruises come from. It was so fucking ugh." You stopped there shoving more rice and meat in your mouth. They didn't ask for all of that but, of course, you just had to spill your heart and feelings out like that and make everything difficult and uncomfortable
"Y/N" You looked up at your name sitting up straighter when you saw how much closer they got. How did they do that? "It's okay. Keep talking. We want to listen. We care." You stared warily at Keigo before looking over to Rumi who simply nodded his head in affirmation. You took a breath and decided to just let it all out damn the consequences. You told them how you and Kaen met and bonded, you told them of all the horrors Hiro did to you. All the times you were raped by him and his creations and not being able to do anything due to him drugging you and quirk stoppers 24/7, he would beat you within an inch of death only to bring you back, break your bones only to heal them, starve you, use tools and machines on you for a whole two and a half years. How do you think he killed Kaen. No one didn't see you those two and a half years. The same day you were rescued your sister came and found you calling you your endearing nickname 'Lizzy' only to be dropped dead right there with a bullet straight through the head. That's why you hated the name Lizzy. The only blood family to truly give a shit about you was killed an hour before law enforcement raided the place. Everything became a blur after that and your family after truly seeing what you went through felt guilty. Your brothers who tormented you your whole life begged for forgiveness and you couldn't. You left without a goodbye needing to escape Magnolia. At the end of it you were wrapped up in strong arms and wings blubbering and crying horribly ugly. You couldn't hear much but, you felt Rumi purring in his chest and Kei cooing while rubbing his feathers over you. It was working on calming you down and ever since you opened up you felt a connection between the three of you form. It was nice. Maybe it was something that you needed the whole time.
flashback ends
You shook your head noticing you were staring into nothing when you were supposed to be finishing up this paperwork for Endeavor. Endeavor had come out of the hospital and to your chagrin, Rei made sure her husband stayed home while Toya took over the agency. He was by himself since his siblings wanted to stay home with their dad taking advantage of him being home. You couldn't help smiling. You wondered if Enji realized how truly lucky he was to have such a loving family that no matter what the bond can't be broken.
"Y/N love I know you're busy but, we got some more paperwork for you to fill out." You looked up at Burnin who handed you the paper before leaving the office with an audible slam of the door. That girl knew how to make an entrance and an exit. You shook your head to clear away any more unwanted thoughts to finish up your work. About half an hour later you heard a knock on your door and you answered with a soft come in. You looked up and smiled seeing it was Toya. He was huffing and looked three seconds from ripping his own hair out
"Don't rip your hair I don't think your fans will appreciate you going bald." You snickered at the middle finger he gave you.
"Shut the fuck up." You cackled. Ah man, he was such the opposite of what a hero is supposed to look in appearance. He had an undercut that was black that he dyed and red on top that swooped and spiked at the same time to the side. He had a shit ton of piercings too from his ears to his nose to his mouth and tongue. He looked like a villain but, he wasn't. "What you're staring so hard at?" He looked at you annoyed but you could have sworn he had a pink blush on his face
"Admiring the fact that you don't fit the typical hero description." You smirked as he blinked before huffing out a laugh. "I like it though. You show that not all heroes have to look the part."
"Mirko got the acting part down though." You let out a full-blown laugh at that. Rumi was quick to tell someone to go fuck themselves and kick them with no hesitation. He also spoke his mind not giving two shits about someone's feelings.
"You're right." You continued your work getting into it not noticing how Toya was inching his way to you until he was direct beside you. "Yes, Toy-" You turned only to freeze up. He was so close. He was nose to nose with you and you tasted his breath. What was going on? What happened? You two were just talking and joking like you always do and now there is some weird-ass tension that feels as if it's going to snap and explode. "T-Toya?" Why are you stuttering? He's been close to you plenty of times but, this feels different. Intimate on a whole different level.
"I...just want to do something...I'm sorry in advance." You didn't know what he meant until you felt a soft pair of lips on your own. You completely froze up eyes blown wide. He was kissing you. He was actually kissing you. It lasted a few seconds not long enough for you to respond or react. "I know you don't like me like that...I just couldn't control myself...Maybe if I was sooner way before Kei and Rumi came into the picture...I'm sorry. I just had to do it before I couldn't..." You just stared blankly at him a bright blush on your face
"I never knew..." He huffed out a laugh never leaving your personal space.
"I know...Oh, do I know...I never was open about it until recently...Of course, something in me would snap when I got jealous of how close you were with Kaen and the others...I wanted that, I wanted you to hug me, kiss me, sit on my lap and just show the same care that you show them to me...I'm sorry I'm just confusing you...Just know I always love you, always have, and always will...Even when both of us get married and have children or whatever the fuck...Just know you were always my first love." With that said he gently kissed your cheek and nose before moving out of your space leaving you confused, lost, and dumbfounded in the office.

Don't know where that twist at the end comes from
