I'm not really sure what we were expected to wear for the swim test so in the end I decided on what I thought was a classy mix between fashionable and practical. It was a very pretty white and blacked stripped high legged swimming costume. I later learnt the other girls did not think the same thing.

I walked out onto the pool side alone and kind of nervous. Not quite knowing what to do, I want to sit by the pools edge. Letting my legs dangle down into the water. Just then two guys swam over. The first had hair that sat right in-between brown and black, smooth pale skin and bone structure which looked as if you could ran a finger a long his cheekbone you might cut it.  The other was a had darker more tanned skin, only a little darker than my own and dark brown hair which was gleaming from the water. He had brown eyes which appeared to have tiny gold specks in them. "Why are you sitting here all alone?" asked the one with the cheekbones.

"Oh you know, just trying to suss out all the competition."

"Whatever you say... but I think you're not getting it because you can't swim. Just calling it as I see it" said the boy with gold specks in his eyes. I smirked at him a bit, trying to not let my nervousness show through. 

"Is that so?"

"Unfortunately yes" and with that I was yanked into the water by one of the two, I never did figure out who. They began laughing manically and swam off. I screamed half in surprise, half in delight and swam after them; not caring how badly smudged my makeup would be by the end of this. When I caught up to them the three of us began splashing each other and laughing like maniacs. When we calmed down cheekbones looked at me suddenly with a real intensity in his eyes.

"You're not like the other girls here are you" I blushed despite my best efforts not to

"What do you mean?" I said laughing uncertainly. 

"I mean if we yanked any other girl into the water they would have yelled at us and climbed straight back out."

"What he's trying to say is you're fun. And seem to have some visible personality, and you're also kind of pretty and not in a prim proper scrunched up kind of way". Added Gold Specks. "I've officially decided we're adopting you today. I'm Luke by the way and this is Alfie." Ah, so cheekbones name was Alfie and tanned mcBrown eyes was a Luke. 

"Well I'm Laura, Laura White" Alfie laughed at this

"Well nice to meet you James Bond. As fun as this has been, if we're all going to pass this test we are going to need to warm up" and with that he gestured for us to start swimming a length with him.

"Such a buzzkill" Joked Luke but began to swim after him so I laughed and did the same, feeling really pleased I'd met people as amazing as them so quickly.
