April dreaded the moment Charles and Nikolaj would see each other again.

After the heated discussing they had a few days back, when Charles accused him of turning humans into Lycans, April thought they would be at each others throat again.

She was sure that Nikolaj wouldn't do something he would regret later on, but she still couldn't help but be worried about him. The last thing she wanted was a repeat of their quarrel.

It was a great relief that both of them behaved in each others presence, even though Nikolaj's disdain was too obvious to be missed. Charles also remained silent, but threw a few hateful glares in Nikolaj's direction.

April had to roll her eyes at that.

Other than that, they seemed to ignore each other.

April had to admit that the atmosphere of disdain around them was almost tangible, but she rather preferred them ignoring each other with hateful glares than being at each others throats again.

She knew how much it had bothered Nikolaj to be accused of things he didn't do. But it wasn't obvious to everyone how easily Nik could be affected by nothing more than a few simple words.

Charles being one of them.

Eric had thought it would be a great idea to invite everyone to dinner. And with everyone he meant Charles, Shawn and Nikolaj.

He had thought it would be a great opportunity to have Nikolaj and Charles sitting at one table again without hateful words being thrown at each other.

At first, she was a little bit hesitant to have Nikolaj and Charles in the same room together. She wasn't so sure if her brothers idea was a good one.

After all, it could have turned to the worse. But Eric had reassured her that everything would be fine and she shouldn't worry so much.

His words however failed to reassure her and ease her mind. She had called Nikolaj and told him that he doesn't need to show up if he doesn't want to.

Instead, she had offered to spend some time with him, but surprisingly enough, he refused and told her he would be fine and she shouldn't worry so much. Basically the same words her brother had spoken to her.

Much to April's surprise, Eric even invited Lorena for dinner.

April suspected that her brother invited Lorena so that she wouldn't feel alone with the four men in the room. But what he didn't knew was that April wouldn't feel alone as long as Nikolaj was here with her.

Still, she was thrilled that he actually invited Lorena along. They were slowly beginning to be great friends, if they weren't already.

When Lorena entered the apartment, she immediately had shot April a cheeky grin when she spotted Nikolaj sitting on the couch in the living room.

April was currently in the kitchen, looking after the dinner. It was Eric who did most of the cooking, but April insisted to help, though it wasn't much she did.

Lorena entered the kitchen and closed the door behind her. She strutted towards the sink, turning the water tap on.

April frowned at first, but then realized that she didn't want the others to hear what Lorena was going to say. Though she was sure that if they wanted to hear the conversation, they easily could, water tap on or not.

Lorena leaned against the counter with a smirk on her face. April had a good feeling what kind of conversation she was about to bring up. It definitely had something to do with Nikolaj.

"I see everything is fine between you and your lover boy," she said and snickered.

A small smile curved up her lips. She couldn't help but smile. "Yeah, we talked a bit and he apologized. Everything is good between us again."

"Really?" Lorena asked with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "How did he apologize? Was it with a long hours of make up sex?"

"Shhh! They can hear you." April scolded but was unable suppress her laugh. Lorena could be so straightforward at times. "And turn the water tap off, you're wasting water."

"Alright, alright. Don't get too shy. I just wanted to know if you had a great time with him," she answered with a teasing voice as turned the water off.

"I'm not really shy," April responded. "I think dinner is ready know. Could you please help me carry the plates?" April asked and searched in the cupboards for plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins for everyone.

She carefully handed the plates to Lorena and asked her to carry them into the living room, where they decided to have dinner.

They rarely used the dining table in the living room, but seeing as the dining table in the kitchen wasn't wide enough for six people, they had decided to have dinner in the living room.

The table they had in the kitchen had barely enough space for four people.

Plus, Eric's living room was much larger then his kitchen. They would have enough space for a group of six people.

A few moments after Lorena had left the kitchen to carry the plates and cutlery into the living room, Shawn walked into the kitchen and shot her a smile when he spotted her.

He went straight to the fridge and grabbed another bottle of beer. April pulled a face when Shawn raised the beer bottle to his mouth and opened it with his teeth.

"Don't break your teeth."

"That's cute. Do you actually worry about me?" Shawn teased and pinched her cheek a little bit too hard, though not intentionally.

"Ow!" April cried out and swatted his hand away.

Shawn had a large grin on his face. "How have you been? We rarely talk these days. Actually, I don't even see you at your brothers place that often anymore."

April tried to keep herself from blushing. She knew he was right. April was too busy with Nikolaj. She spent more time at Nikolaj's place than at her brothers place. The last few days they had spend a lot of time together.

After Nikolaj apologized to her, he made sure to invited her over to make up for the two days they hadn't spoken to each other. She can't deny that she had a great time with him.

"We could hang out together if you want. Nik, your brother, you and me. We could even invited Lorena to hang out with her even though I find her extremely annoying as hell." he offered and ruffled her hair. "Or we could just meet up alone," he joked.

April grinned and tried to tame her and unknotting the knots he had created. "We can do that someday, if the others want that too," was her answer.

He grinned back at her.

"Need any help?" Shawn asked, eyeing the dinner and the glasses she had placed on the counter just a few minutes ago.

April nodded. "If you could bring the glasses to the living room it would be nice," she answered and gestured to the glasses. "I'll bring the dinner."

"Of course." He took a few sips of his beer and placed it then on the table before grabbing the glasses. He then looked down at the pot. "Do you want me to carry that too? It looks kind of heavy."

"No need," she refused his offer. "It looks heavier than it actually is. I'll manage that. But thank you," she spoke in a thankful voice.

Shawn nodded and made his way to the living room. April shortly followed after with the hot pot in her hands. Eric also helped and brought the drinks from the kitchen.

April sat next to Nikolaj and grinned up at him, which he returned with a breathtaking smile of his own. Charles, Eric and Shawn and Lorena were wrapped up in a conversation, but were slowly walking towards the dining table.

Once everyone was seated at the table, they began to eat. April was once again surprised at her brothers cooking skills. The food tastes excellent.

Surprisingly enough, dinner went good as well. Charles even involved Nikolaj in a conversation he had with the others, without sounding hateful towards him.

Maybe he realized that his accusations were a foolish move on his part. Even if not, she was glad that he didn't treat him ill anymore.

He didn't deserve being treated this badly. Not him.

I know that this is a filler chapter and most probably the worst I've ever written, but I wanted to post something. I have to admit that I wrote the first thing that came into my mind and at first, it sounded good, but then when I was halfway done with the chapter I realized that it is definitely not as good as I thought it would be.

So what I want to say is, that I will try and make the next chapter better than this. Thank you all for reading and being patient with me! Wish you all a wonderful weekend.
