Fenna crawled towards us. 

"You must be Luci." she said, and nodded to me. "I like what you did with Theo."

I looked at Theo, and it took me a few seconds to realize she was referring to his wings. 

"Oh, that." I laughed. "I didn't want him strangling me while flying." 

"Be glad you didn't have to fly with Idio!" Fenna laughed too. "He's even worse- he screams all the time! Though Theo talks all the time, which grows annoying as well- he's surprisingly silent right now, actually." She turned to Theo. "Hey Theo, do you even live?" 

"I do." Theo said. "I stopped jabbering all the time. Now let's get to business. Did you find the antidote, Fenna?" 

"I made something that should work... in theory." Fenna said softly. "But there are a few problems." She reached in her pocket and got out a tiny bottle, filled with a bluish grey fluid. "Problem one: I didn't test it, this because of the next two problems. Problem two: There's only enough for one person. Problem three: I have nothing to inject it with." 

"That last one isn't a problem." I said. 

"Luci, we can't create anything." Theo said. "I thought he explained it to you. Our powers are suppressed." 

"Who said anything about powers?" I asked, and smiled. "If I remember correctly, he said "for a while". Temporary. If they want to keep us in here, they'll have to come back to give us another shot some time soon. That's when we can steal what we need."

Theo pointed at me. "You. You are brilliant."

"Meh." I said, but I felt I was blushing.

At that moment, the door opened. A guard walked into the room before the cage. 

"I see you met Fenna?" he laughed. "Just as idiotic as the two of you. She tried to invade Stormpolis on her own!"

"We're not here to invade, you piece of... misunderstanding!" Theo sighed. 

"Neither was I." Fenna said. 

"Shut up!" the guard barked. "I'm not here to listen to your nonsense!"

"It's not nonsense!" I said impatiently. "We've come to negotiate!"

"Yeah, right." the guard said, and he spat into the cage. Then he walked away again.

"Well done, Luci!" Theo whispered carefully. "That seed is sown!"
